At the very onset of the serial, the CVs had established Khushi's character: BubblyHelpful 'I can handle the world' 'I can manage all problems''I can carry the burden of others' 'i will never complain' 'I will never breakdown' 'I will not hold grudges'

'I will do anything for love'

'I will keep a 1000 secrets if it saves someone some trouble'

...Beautiful attributes of a girl of substance, so aptly portrayed by Sanaya.

Days passed into months.

While many of her traits remained the same, CVs have consistently used her the way they have wanted and often butchered her character

Not holding grudges does not mean constant comedy or a feeling of shallowness

Not complaining does not mean she does not deserve to be vindicated for so many sufferings

Being brave does not mean being sudjected to torture time and again

Keeping secrets does not mean falling deeper and deeper into a trap of lies where she is the biggest victim

Handling the world doesn't mean fighting constant battles

Carrying the burden of others doesn't mean she is hurt for that also

Not breaking down doesn't mean pushed to the limits of endurance without any proper healing afterwards...

And this is my pet peeve with the portrayal of her character.

It is a character created by CVs so beautifully, but constantly they use and abuse this character conveniently...

And the worst part is they do not let us feel good on her behalf by giving her half the measure of happiness she deserves.

Recent episodes have been good because she is getting some happiness...

But still it is less compared to the pain she got.

Compare the 'characterless' dialogue to any other scene later. You will feel a sense of incompleteness.

Compare the 'I wish I had never met you' dialogue to the scenes later even the gift scenes.

Compare the Shyam touching her scenes to any scene later

Compare the Mamiji taunt scenes with any scenes later

Compare the Garima and Buaji marriage taunt scenes to any scene later

Nothing done later is ever closing the gap

Of all these characters Arnav has done a good job of trying to make up and being loyal to her

But in times ahead if CVs revert to amnesia

If CVs revert to using and abusing her character with no cinsistency,

If CVs do not give her adequate respect and vindication...

They will again tread the wrong path...

And a lot of audience will feel the gap...

A gap that has defenitely resulted in briging down this show for quite a while...

So while grief for Khushi is not possible to avoid, let the CVs balance it out properly...like they seem to be doing now

I completely agree

I used to love Khushi the way she was portrayed before the contract marriage started. I could relate to Khushi's character then completely & i could even predict what she might have done next but now hmmm. She used to give ASR back & not sit cry but after the shyam revelation they have totally changed her - i have to use my own understanding to see the Khushi i want to see.

She keeps doing this sacrificing business for ASR & anjali (i personally dislike it).

She used to be rough & tough, i remember the writer saying once that they can do anything with her character because she is bubbly & cheerful but that doesnt mean they can keep flipping Khushi's character so much that people who love Khushi to bits are not liking her character completely.

They have kept ASR very consistent then why not Khushi, just because she is strong doesnt mean she has to bear the brunt of all the pain on her shoulders & other characters should be left scot free.

If not for Sanaya it would have been next to impossible to bear Khushi & comedy. There are too many contradictions in her character lately. When she knows its still a contract marriage how can she accept ASR's proximity. Why she letting things be & not giving back like before.

Majority of the old Khushi traits have dis - appeared to give way to ASR's & Anjali's story which i dont think can manage the trps required. Its proved when Anjali was shown broken the trps dipped completely which clearly means the audience is not really interested about Anjali in the manner being shown. Most of the insults towards Khushi still havent been closed. Specially ASR he has done the worst things. The wardrobe of Khushi is horrible, being the lead how can she wears those clothes.

The CV's have twisted Khushi so badly that is it extremely difficult to understand the track logically. The audience relates with Khushi the most & this the most bluchered & disrespected character in the show.

I truly miss the old Khushi.

when will she receives the respect which she deserves?

To be honest..Arnav is the only reason I'm still watching the show..He is the oly character these days who stands up for Khushi and saves her the humiliation...Because with the recent saas-bahu crap that's being served to us..Only Arshi and ASR gives me hope that all will be well..

Because the CV's themselves are confused with Khushi's characterisation...Whether to make her strong..whether to make her bubbly...whether to make her the eternally tortured bahu while the entire family keeps mum...If she didn't have that husband like ASR..I am scared to think..what would have happened to her!!

i am truly with you harshu the old khushi was the reason i started watching this show

she was strong yet vulnerable

sweet yet sassy

chirpy and funny and not comical

now it is the reverse

yes for asr and anjali track her character has been twisted constantly

but it is not just that, for the show itself her character has been twisted and turned endlessly leaving us confused

i agree. if not for asr at least standing up for her, she wud be mince meat

but then it is asr who got her into the mess with no proper wedding and all
