archu, that is from one of my favourite movies ever. and that was all about a beautiful sister brother relationship too. but what an undemanding sister. when no one could give her love she went out there and found her own world, trying to be happy and contented in that. when her brother who loved her deeply traced her and reached her, she despite all her love for him knew there was no going back. she definitely never felt threatened by or challenged the love he felt for another woman. i get goosebumps even thinking of certain scenes from the movie.

and that song. how often i catch myself humming it. two beautiful versions.

but here, relationships and loves seem to be getting confused about their place, when a ganja smoking, commune living, hippie girl knew what was valid and what was not. interesting times though. will read crooner and update a little later in the day.

so glad i'm free of kaksha bandhan more than 25 years now.

but mostly, "happy rakhi" just the way arnav singh raizada said it, with a sweet, unguarded smile. if there was anyone who knew there'd been an episode the day before it was this one man, or so i felt. his whole demeanour showed the after effects of the week of hard work that had gone by. work both physical and emotional. what with having to leap in and out of windows, drive madly through delhi traffic to catch up with the wife other end of town, buy up house maybe a company, keep the other most important person in his life happy with frequent visits and calls, and all the while stay focussed on a plan to bring his love back into his life. never let her leave. when his love had quite the opposite agenda.

"kya chahiya aapko?" she'd asked the previous night. in a flat voice, he'd replied, "ghar chalo... mere saath."

the sheer relief of finally getting her acquiescence if not whole hearted acceptance must have brought on a sense of relief and the immediate wind down that comes with it. for that's how he felt like to me today. he was allowing the tension to release, just a bit low, engaged but not wholly there, though quick witted and a little crotchety as usual. nice.

enjoyed his short, pertinent dialogues, particulary his way of saying them. "yeh tum... tum hi ho?" asked the overjoyed sister when he appeared in the kurta she'd bought him a year ago. he who shunned such clothes. he replied laconically (what a lovely, m&b word, walked right into my thoughts), "pata nahi, di. not sure." or was there a something in that "not sure," that wasn't entirely in jest?

"gift aapne diya... surprise maine." naughty nannav, or again something more?

why is everyone looking at me? that was a nice one from the writers to us, me certainly. 😆

in the middle of all that, suddenly "papad ka dukhda." stop it, i say, time to do some nazar utarna.

i have devoted an entire post to why i thought his kurta was just not him. give him a white khadi, linen, or muslin kurta minus embroidery and i would write a thousand words on that alone. but this was not asr.

interestingly enough, it was given to him by the one who loves him so very much. not doubting her love, but am getting a bit psyched by both anjali and those that are telling her story. i understand she is off khushi at present. too many emotions there: this is the woman it is alleged her husband was crazy about. her eyes have recorded khushi leaving with shyam, trying to feed him kheer and looking guilty at her sudden entry. most women when confronted with the fact of their husband's infidelity, tend to blame the other woman. natural. not arguing with that. we are humans, we are fragile, we look for thoughts that protect us.

very few people are like arnav singh raizada, brave and straight forward enough to look at a thing in the eye and call it as it is. so i am not surprised anjali is blocking out khushi. plus, her only other emotional anchor, chhote is married to this girl, much in love with her. when anjali felt secure herself she was delighted with khushi being her sister in law. after all, she had wanted this. she had taken active interest in seeing them, and her, happy. but now things are a bit different. khushi being the woman in chhote's life is no longer looking that good.

plus khushi has lied about buaji and chhote has been spending so much time there not for the reason she believed, but to be with khushi! anjali is freezing up. maybe that's why i felt so cold last night while watching all the plastic flower, bright colour and warm smiles bedecked festivities.

it's perfectly fine with me if anjali wants to do be nasty to khushi in her classic passive aggressive way. pity it was khushi out there, i would have replied to that is it too much to ask my brother to give me a bit of his time with: of course not, di, why don't you chat with your bro about it? now come, let me tie this thread for you otherwise buaji would feel very bad. anjali wouldn't want to seem unmindful of the elders before anybody, would she.

what irked me was the playing of that song. lovely song, a perfect sound when the people are in the frame of mind being described. but is anjali behaving like a mother to anyone right now? guess i am sentimental about such things. i get the creatives don't want her to look suddenly too negative, but something just didn't gel yesterday.

khushi's mood and manner was a bit surprising in the beginning. was she there in the showdown the previous evening? all that immediate involvement with the fam and need to make di happy. i was about to say "what the" when i realised, uh huh, this is quintessential khushi. she needs to be involved, doing stuff, to keep sane. nothing gives her more pleasure than to see others happy, and so off we go on a joy spreading spree. being a sharp girl, she knows di is not really into her these days, but what a bind, arnavji loves di and she can't see her arnavji unhappy. so no matter what, let's please di.

no one else at home knows about the war of the raizadas. but if your only sibling on whom you dote and whose happiness you fret about, with whom you share a bond that's rare is going through a tumultuous time in his relationship, you wouldn't even sense it? now that you're not mad at him won't you ask him even once about his time in captivity? how is he? did they hurt him? is he ok? nothing? all you're thrilled about is that he is wearing a kurta which you know he doesn't like to wear only to please you?

perhaps as gandhari wondered in her post, all her "humares" point to a curious narcissism. interesting character you are, mrs jha. and i am dying to get to know you better. what will you do when you realise shyam's truth? will you fall or rise to be all of arnav singh's raizada's beloved elder sister. his one and only di.

on a separate note, archana, thanks for that phoolon ka taaron ka reference. it immediately brought to mind the incredible jasbir gone janice portrayal by zeenat aman in an abs classic. once while discussing khushi with priya i'd agreed that khushi is one of the most refreshing, in fact one might even say iconoclastic characters on tv or anywhere. she reminded me of zeenie baby in hare rama, i'd noted. free spirits both in their own way. put them in the rigid walls of convention, they wilt. too much raizada dressing may not be good for khushi. let her remain jhalli, bring on the pompoms, and a little less rouge please.

After three power packed episodes, the pace slowed down a bit with focus shifting to Rakshabandhan. I liked it though it would have been nice to show more of Arnav and Khushi's conversation, it just came to an abrupt end and all of a sudden a new day begins. Khushi returns home looking stunning, Arnav observes as Manorama does not let up in taking digs at Khushi about why she returned so early, hoping soon this means he will put an end to Khushi being disrespected.

NK is seriously a breath of fresh air, he just lights up the room with his presence and instantly brings a smile to your face with his bubbly nature and bad hindi. He is adorable and I love that he has been included as part of the celebrations

Khushi and Anjali's scene was well done, Khushi made sure it was ok with Anjali before approaching her well aware that tension between them remains. I didn't like how Anjali indirectly lets it be known to Khushi that she would like some of her brother's time but admired the way Khushi handled herself. Khushi did not take those words to heart and instead did her best to make this day special for Anjali. Though the blouse was recycled, it was great to see Khushi in yet another outfit that too a sari and on top of that the beautiful smile on her face. I was dreading seeing Khushi back at RM thinking that smile would once again vanish but her seeing her loved ones so happy was more than enough for her.

NK and Khushi's scenes are always a treat to watch, loved how she roped him in to help her convince Arnav to wear the sherwani Anjali wanted him to wear last year. How times have changed, a year ago he wouldn't have even listened to NK and this year he does and things only get better when he realizes its Khushi who was behind all of this. Its probably why he kept it on afterwards despite being uncomfortable in it, first it was for Di and now for Khushi who I am sure he has something planned for. With only 9 days remaining he must have something up his sleeve, the next step to winning back her heart. That picture of them was too cute for words, their first happily married pic

Don't think much will come out of the precap, Khushi will probably call out to Anjali who will cover and that will be it. This scene was similar to yesterday's where another MU came between Anjali and Khushi, its all about build up to Shyam's return.

the song has me remembering, wondering again at the beautiful movie and the fabulous deb zeenie babie, also crying. there were so no buts in that bro sis love. beautiful post. episode left me feeling cold, need a bit of warmth. even white chocolate doesn't make it go away. of course if a certain kurta is itchy and the wearer needs some help... uff now it's getting a bit too hot around here.

A very nice episode , a swift change from yesterday ending scene to Rakshabandhan but it was a special day for Anjali and it was nice to watch, hoping Arnav and Khushi don't forget their little chat so quickly, it would be nice if we get some continuity with the conversation they head, but the day is not yet over so will wait and watch.

What a surprise that everyone looking great in the same episode😊 special mention for Khushi, I have no negative thoughts on her clothes, she looked gorgeous and although I prefer ASR in his suits, he looked dashing as well😍

cute scene where NK took the photo of Arnav and Khushi smiling at the camera together, will we get to see it in a frame in their room, hopfully NK might just do that😉 also very sweet Arnav waiting for Khushi to come to the room before changing,after all it was her idea😊

The Anjali and Khushi scene clearly shows that Anjali resentment towards Khushi hasn't just vanished, the lie about Buaji health only made it worst, her insecurities of the people she loves leaving her only is going against Khushi, interesting that Anjali didn't mention anything to either Arnav or Khushi about the lie, I predict there are going to be some very interesting times ahead for brother and sister.

Starting with Wednesday's episode, Khushi realizes Arnav has cut the water supply and electric connection of GH and calls him in a fit of rage.

"Aapko pata hai,subha se humne ek cup chaay bhi nahi pi hai?!''

Now she was certainly not expecting him to respond the way he did! "Kya?Khud nahi pi toh meri kaise banaogi?"

Loved,loved his "ah oh! Too late!" Lard governer toh padhaar chuke hain!😳

"Waise tum bahar kyun aayi thi?Apni kismat likhne?" 😛Arnavji's dialogue writer,kudos to u!👏

The look Khushi gives him when he says that,awesome!😡

"Aur tum khadi kyun ho?Meri khatirdari kyun nahi kar rahi ho?Buaji aayengi toh kya bolengi? Damadji aaye,chay bhi nahi pilayi?"

Khushi ka bas chale toh woh ek boond pani bhi na pilaye,chay toh bahut door ki baat hai!

Khushi tells him not to worry about her,she will manage! Her never say die spirit intact!

Then he follows her to the kitchen and talks mainly to irritate her and again asks her to come home. Khushi ignores him. And Arnavji,who's in the mood for some fun, drops the pateela of water! Khushi is astounded! Yet she is not defeated!👏

While going out she is about to slip and that is when Arnav the caring husband makes a comeback with that "watch it!"

Next,Khushi goes to the handpump to fetch water. And on coming back,finds that the house has been locked by the lard governer.

"Humara man toh kar raha hai ki.." aur ghade bhi gir gaye! Aur ek second k liye toh uski awaz se darkar Arnavji ne apna pair peechhe kar liya!😳

Under the guise of wiping off water from her swan neck,Arnavji toucher her neck and Khushi ki saas phool gayi aur chehra laal ho gaya!☺️ And did Arnavji notice it?Sure,he did!

"You already know ki main aisa kyun kar raha hoon?" he says and expects her to agree.

But she starts her "kuch dino me sab kuch theek ho jayega" speech and Arnav turns to ASR!

He turns his back to her,coz he knows he doesnt mean what he's saying. All that is just to force Khushi to come home with him! In reality,he would never let anyone or anything dishonour her family !Nor would he force them out of their house!

He says the one thing which he truely means and wants from his heart,facing her "Wapas aa jao mere paas" Notice,ghar par ya Shantivan me nahi,mere paas wapas aa jao!

When Khushi still doesnt reply,he asks her to get ready to leave the house in an hour. He turns back to see her staring at the lock with tear-filled eyes and feels guilty.Awww! Lard governer couldnt have done it any other work,coz Sanka devi would have never agreed to that. So he uses this as a last resort! And is successful,or so he thinks when Khushi informs him "Hum aapki baat maanne k liye taiyyar hai."

That "phir se kaho" tells us that he was clearly not expecting this from her!

Khushi repeats what she said and is about to leave,when he reminds her that he is ASR!

"Main hamesha sahi hota hoon!" No! U r wrong mr. ASR! And time will prove that when the truth of the contract wedding will come out in front of the family. And when it will haunt ur future with Khushi,u will realize that what u did on that stormy February night was far from sahi!

And what u r doing now,though with a good intention,isnt sahi either!

Arnav resolves to take her back to Shantivan,before the contract gets over. While Khushi resolves not to come back from Shantivan till the contract gets over. hmmm,interesting!

Lo ji! Is baar to AIIMS aur India Gate dono k raste se hokar aana pada babua ko to fetch his wife. He became "jal bin machhli" when she didnt open the door and respond to his calls.

And when she did,was he relieved or what?!

Arnav knows Khushi tad too well to know when she's lieng. So again he enters GH through the window to find his wife lying on the bed.

When he is about to take her forcefully out of the house,he sees her foot in a plaster and the worried and concerned husband comes to the fore!

Khushi's eyes spill guilt when she sees her lard governer going all concerned and chintit for her. And her eyes give her lie away. I liked the formula Arnav used to find out if she was lying! He knows she cant bear to see him hurt!

Khushi tries every trick in the book to save herself but alas! Lard governer is having none of it!

Waise Sanka devi k bahane bhi ajab hai,full of sanak!

A: Meri taraf dekho..

K: Kyun dekhe?Matlab hum.. baar-baar mud kar nahi dekh sakte! Chot pair me lagi hai aur akad gayi gardhan.😛

That was enough to confirm Arnav's suspicion that she was faking it.

Arnavji ko dekhne daudkar aayi par pakde jane k baad langdakar chalne lagi!

Even after it is very clear that Arnav has caught her lie, she continues the facade, saying that the dr has told her that she cant walk for..

And Arnav completes the sentence- 10 days!

I loved the way he turns her to face him by holding her chin and says "Khushi,u cant lie to me!" Very true! Its high time Sanka devi understands that!

He tells her that he knows why she's doing what she's doing. Finally,these guys r talking about the contract!

The last part was very emotional.

Khatam.. sauda khatam,shadi khatam,agreed! But "baaki sab" kabhi khatam nahi ho sakta, Khushi n Arnav both know this very well!
"Aap sab kuch jaante hain!" Yes he does and even though she may not agree or accept, even she knows everything- that she loves him way too much and she will never b able to live without him!

Arnav again uses her family as the bait. And is successful yet again.

I am apalled! Khushi actually thought that she will not reveal the reason behind her broken marriage to her family and continue to live in GH forever?! 😲Ise naadaani kahoon ya bewakoofi?

How could she even think that her family will not question her or not find out the real reason and let her stay with them?😕

K: Kya chahiye aapko?

A: Ghar chalo,mere saath! (If,I may add) hamesha k liye!

"10 din k baad kya hoga mujhe usse koi farq nahi padta!" U said it,Arnav!👏 These 10 days r all u have to win her back and hence they matter the most to u! Coz once the battle is won,the contract will have no meaning and Khushi will b urs,forever!

Anjali meets Buaji in the hospital and realizes that Chhotey has lied to her and so has Khushiji!

Her dialogue "tumne phir humse jhoot kaha,Chhotey" proves ki Chhotey k itne samjhane k baad bhi she believes that he had lied about going to Agra! And again she starts believing ki uska Chhotey ab uska nahi raha! Iska kuch nahi ho sakta jab tak Shyamu wapis na aa jay!😡

Some relations are Forever <3

A very nice episode for me as on a personal front I was missing my brother on this day and it did bring some fond memories. Today's write-up is dedicated to this festival and all brother and sisters in this world.😳

Episode opens with all coming together in the family to celebrate a festival close to their heart- it is sister's day out and for such family where sister's happiness is the central focus of everyone's life, no doubt this was all about making her happy.

Khushi goes to meet his Di and a very significant scene takes place. She wishes good for his Di and always has wished good only but destiny has made her biggest reason for this woman's grief. We all can argue over how anjali should behave with khushi, I guess for every woman it will be difficult to shower love on that woman who was object of desire for her husband. Anjali says that she doesn't need anything special from her chotte just need his some time .Enough has been written over this sister about her possessiveness and her jealousy .For them it was eye opener, she just needs him to be by her side just for some moments perhaps. These moments are necessary to keep that faith intact that she is still same Di for her chotte.

Here for a change I will mention Khushi thoughts too for this bond (Don't laugh,I can be unbiased at times 😆)

She doesn't have a real family alive and this one real relation exists for her husband-most important person in her life. We may wonder why this brother-sister bond is important for khushi.It is important as somewhere she sees arnav having that relation which she never had. No doubt her foster family loves her and her jiji too loves her but she is still adopted for them. She voiced it out too today that she wished she had bond like theirs.

Now coming to my favorite part.

A brother does a small gesture and is helped of course by his love in that. A small gesture enough to bring smile on his di's face. I am too emotional to pen down on that scene so I take help of a song to describe a Brother's feelings for his sister.

Ye na jaana duniya ne tu hai kyun udaas,
Terii pyaasii aankhon mein pyaar ki hai pyaas,
Aa mere paas aa, keh jo kehana hai

Ek hazaaron mein meri behanaa hai

All she needs is little love from her brother and her brother knows it.That was the only reason he came back that night to her for kheer .He understands her pain but is helpless to bring her happiness back ,her love back. Teri pyaasi aankhon mein pyaar ki hain pyaas ' He assures her that he is there for her forever as his own dialogue-main hun aapke saath hamesha. Aa mere paas aa keh jo kehna hain ' A brother's promise with that Sacred thread that Trust me and say your heart out as always I am there for you.

Jiivan ke dukhon se, yuun Darate nahiin hain
Aise bachake sach se guzarate nahiin hain
Sukh kii hai chaah to, dukh bhii sahanaa hain

Ek hazaaron mein meri behanaa hai

She is facing perhaps one of most difficult times in her life but there is brother's assurance that he is by her side, she just has to face truth. But sadly she seems to be going to other side this time .What she believes in 'her brother's truth or her delusional love is what will decide the future of their relation.

On last scene ' will wait fr tomorrow on that but just want to add a last bit.-I love that man in white kurta'.Please give him such clothes more often!!

I just realized that perhaps this is longest I have written'.so thanks for reading 😃
