Ricky, the kind of individual you suggested, are an average Tom, Dick and Harry who are scared to rectify their love , I doubt in the first place they will even make as many mistakes purely coz they are mellowed human beings ...
The kind of individual that ASR is, is a typical someone who comes from a broken family, is lingering between good values and bad traits he's picked along the way in his struggle ... In real life we see many examples of people who havnt had the most rozy life and when love knocks at their door , the first instinct is to become harsh ...
You cannot deny the existance of such people .. however the element where you are getting confused is that this is a show which will have some bit of exaggeration because it is not catering to only one set of audience but a much wider audience ... they are trying to maintain that balance between reality and fiction ...
now the thing that I feel is confusing people is this:
Many people who only watch TV for the sake of face value will see ASR's character as manhandling khushi .. Only those who are used to analyzing characters and relating them to life , can actually see the character progression in ASR ...
