Hmmm...I agree the clothes are a bit dated. However, maybe the CV's are trying to show us the independence of Kushi (or what little she feels she has.) This is the only thing she CAN control. So she hangs on to it like a straw in the water. She won't let Arnav control her, at least in this aspect of her life.

What say?
