I respect your opinion as everyone have their own point of view.for me barun is one of the best current tellywood actor even better than several bolly actors.and no im not saying this simply because i find him hot.i wont go into deatils on why he is such a good performer as few posts above mine already addressed this strength.but i have to ask - you really find asr in love cringe worthy??like seriously!!!!

Before ipkknd, my knowledge of hindi serials was got by browsing thru the channels. Never followed any serial ever. Saw a glimpse of a, b , c serials if the tv is on.

After saying the above, let me tell u I never felt drawn to any actors acting like I am to BS. No, it is not because he is goodlooking. I actually liked sanaya as she looked the part.. a innocent young girl.. When I first saw him I thought this BOY doesnt look like a business tycoon .. uff.. they should have chosen another MAN. But since I liked the lucknow dargah scene, I started watching just for fun. But after the initial few episodes, I started liking BS acting a lot. He really looked, acted the part of a arrogant young business man. He really can act without many dialogues to mouth out. I was really impressed with his expressive acting so much so that I needed to know whether i was the only one or there are many like me and so I got into IF. And HELLO... I found there are innumerable number of people who felt the same about BS. This man can ACT.

yes there might be SOME days when he looked lethargic, dull, uninteresting .. but there have been MANY days when he was AWESOME . Just like there are good days and some bad days for everyone. Even sanaya had MANY very good acting days and few bad. It happens to everyone. I will not play GOD and declare that this man is the best in any entertainment industry in the world. That is not smart.. Offcourse there are better and MORE EXPERIENCED actors everywhere. But BS is young and he definetely has the scope to be among the best.

I can tell about it because I liked khushi first because of her acting skills, delivering such a long dialogue , timing, comedy, emotions.. OK stop it here its not for khushi..
Just mentioning that comparing with khushi when I first saw ASR I found many expressions like u said stone like ...

And I sometimes dont like his dialogue delivery or voice inflections .. One eg. That telepathy time... script was good but the way he said it could have been way better...

But I love him so much that all bollywood actors are water to him now... cant help...

Salman and Barun belong in two different categories. I think Barun is a phenomenal actor for his medium and age. Salman was better too in his early years. Don't get me wrong, both are my favorites. And Salman may not be the best actor, but his charm works like magic.

I'm a huge fan of Salman but more because he is a great human being. As far his acting skills goes- I prefer watching his older movies rather than the disasterous recent ones! His comedy timings doesnt sit well with me. Moreover according to me I think comedy doesnt suit his personailty. He acts funny when he is doing comedy stuff. Again I'm a huge fan of Salman khan but then I'm not blind to his flaws.

Barun on the other hand has done full justice to ASR! He has portrayed the emotions bang on. Be it anger. Romance, hurt, or comedy! His comedy is more like him being amused! Its just been three years of his career and seeing the amount of growth I'm amazed as what this guy can do.

Barun has been absolutely outstanding...pre his Bollywood interlude.

Sadly since his return to the show, that crisp incisive edge is missing in his acting...

Whether it is because of a lapse in his focus and concentration or because of less than perfect direction or it is simply because the current story line is so unexciting, that there is nothing for him to emote...or is it a combination of everything,... who knows.

Many of you are forgetting a few very important points :

- If you look at bollywood, Does Salman khan have overly brilliant expressions? not really .. he is quite and ordinary actor yet he is a superstar and every movie he touches becomes a hit ! Does Akshay kumar have brilliant expressions or body language? not really .. but yet again he is a superstar ..

Its all about charisma and presence .. Barun has that and that is why he is regarded so highly .. oh and not to forget so far in indian telly, most serials have very ordinary people as their leads !

- Secondly , how long do you see a bollywood actor acting in a movie? three hours? and how many movies usually come out in a year? in few cases no more then two? that means you only watch them act for no more then 6 hours a year ...

now imagine what happens in a TV serial , you watch them for 30 minutes every single day of the week .. you notice telly stars much more then you notice movie stars .. the more an actor is exposed to the public the more the criticism ... hence I dont get shocked when people try to put down Barun's impact ..

The fact remains that he can act really well .. he has some areas he needs to work on , but then I think even superstars in this industry are lacking in way too many things .. and he is only at the start of his career !

sorry dear!i m here to disagree.for me barun is the BAAP of all the actors i have seen so far.for me,he is gazillion times better than any bollywood actor.totally my point of view.iss barun mania ko kya naam doon?😃

he is a decent actor, better than most actors on TV. his anger/hate+ flirty scenes, and his flair for deadpan comedy tells me he has raw talent, that with passing time WILL get better. lets not forget he has been in this business only for a few years.

EDIT: His pre-Kidnapping days were better, in terms of acting and dialogue delivery and even his looks. I am sorry, HIS HAIR pisses off every single neuron in my body. He wasnt the greatest, when he started out, but improved in scores, towards the Diwali Kiss and the infamous Terrace Scene and Khushi Might Be Dead Scene.

But he does mumble a lot. Another member named balwantkaur, made a post about it, but it was shut down😳... even his i love you Di/ khushi is up for debate... His dialogue delivery is his weakest point, in my opinion. Thus, improvement on that ( and his hair) would make his acting seem so much better.

Barun is no Ranbir Kapoor a la rockstar or SRK like his 90s self... he needs to learn more and hone his talent.
