Apparently this is the new age love... my old bones are too squeaky to handle its onslaught...Last I checked, Love meant 'prolonged mutual protection' pray when did it get changed to 'prolonged torture /prolonged need to possess/prolonged will to submission'?

what worries me more than just the fact that ASR is an asshole, is the realization that khushi is a helpless ill fated woman who literally cannot catch a break. And this is scripted as if its okay for us, the audience, to see women be treated this way, and there are people who truly think, this is what "passionate" love between a man and a woman can be all about.

I have no qualms with her love for her husband. I dont feel worried because she fell for him because given what the man looks like, given his power, his control over her life, and of course the passionate chemistry, it would be odd for her to NOT love him.

But cant a woman love more than just her family and her mate? Cant she care and respect more than the pati? I feel nauseous because Khushi doesnt love HERSELF. At all.

There is a difference between selfishness and being a doormat, and she has no self esteem of any kind ALLOWED to her by the CVs of this show. I posted re. this, as you know, and what hurts is that when Khushi is being made to basically put on a show and be "entertainment" and thus garner the cheap laughs, the real reason she is being made to perform like a trained seal is being glossed over.

She wont accept him as her husband, given what he has done to her, and hell no, she doesnt get to have a choice in this any more than she got to choose whether he would be her husband in the first place. As if being given a choice, or trying to exert her own control over her life is somehow punishable by being treated no better than a performing monkey.

No matter how cute Sanaya renders her script, and smiles and teases ASR, it doesn't change WHY she is faking all this--because she has to. Not because her mischief, and silly jokes and all that cute banter is naturally there, like it USED to be. But because her husband wants to see her smile and perform for him like a good little paid servant, and hell yeah, she has to smile so he doesnt feel bad about manipulating her like this.

Excellent, Beta, Arnav. If you cant bring a smile onto her face through fair means that dont work because you haven't addressed anything concrete that is making her unhappy in the first place, by all means, use the foul techniques at your disposal.

Its a smile after all--chalega...no matter if you scared it into life, or bought your way into it.

This story was done the moment the intense hatred marriage track was turned into a laughing stock by CVs.

Since then, this is more of a C grade movie directed by a D grade amateur playing in a F grade theater.

Everything has been butchered, including Laxmi (I guess she became mutton chops and hence we dont see her either).

Gul is having mental, spiritual and pyschological orgasms thinking about ASR in her mind, because she for sure is not watching this crap we all seem to be religiously following.

Actually, I hope and pray, they turn ASR into even bigger villain. I hope they make Kushi wimper and wither like Gopi on Anji drugs. I hope they make Mami the most villainous vamp saas in the world. I hope Akash starts eyeing Kushi. I hope Paayal cries with constipation and gets constipated with tears. I hope Garima slaps and pulls Kushis hair and Buaji throws her out of the house. I hope Shyam comes and seduces ASR and Rocky comes and kidnaps Nani. I hope Aman marries LA and NK kills everyone in a fit of rage.

Oh did I say, I love this show. i do I do.

When I watch this show I feel like I am reading a BDSM novel...ofcourse without all the sex.

Arnav trying to dominate his wife any which way he can, and Khushi trying to fight but eventually giving in to his domination, submitting to him. This thought obviously doesnt bode well with me considering I am not a submissive woman. I like to think of myself as a free spirited woman, who does what she wishes (ofcourse as long as I dont break the law).

I feel like Khushi even enjoys the submission because if she didnt why would she keep coming back to him? Why not ask her own di for money first...maybe Payal has some money. Maybe sell her jewelry, or what happened to the money from dabba service. Why does she have to beg to him?

And Arnav is this really WOOING...Annie you arent out of the loop. If a modern day man tried to win me like this, I believe the eloquent phrase I would use would be "go screw yourself, you mongrel." I like men who are actually men...as in confident, in control of themselves, slightly dominant, but also respectful, loving ,caring, tender. But I dont like overtly dominant men, men who would make me beg to them, which Arnav expects from his wife apparently. In fact likes it. Kinky or not?

I dont believe modern man can woe a modern woman like this because modern women are independent. Perhaps Khushi and Arnav are not modern man and modern woman Annie.

I can only conclude that whoever writes these things are also not modern.

Its fine to play games with your wife, (like Chuck and Blair) but the difference was that there chuck and blair both loved to play and were really good at it. Here only one plays and controls the other through his "play." The other doesnt know how to play or likes to lose.
