a. He reinforced in her mind that she is still the most important person in this world and he can even marry a girl he did not love just to protect her. So Arnav lied to pacify Anjali leaving a door open for further misunderstandings. He conveniently left out that he was going to propose to Khushi, the night of the wedding. He also did not mention why Khushi married him and because of that Shyam can claim now that Khushi married him for money and trap him in love for the same reason...

b. After marriage, he started to fall in love with her. That could be due to close proximity, living as husband & wife or Khushi trapping him for money. But that did not particularly clear how much he loves Khushi and what is her position in his life. A woman gets only as much respect in her in-laws as much her husband gives her. It's sad but it's true.

And another point is that Arnav still has not revealed that Shyam himself confessed to him that he loves Khushi. All he said, correct me if I'm wrong, "I thought Shyam and Khushi were having an affair and that's why to save your marriage I married her."

Again a big gap of communication that Shyam can fill with his lies.

He did love her before the wedding! I don't think he was ever infactuated with Khushi..

He started falling for her since the photoshoot..

What we saw during Diwali was when he couldn't control what he felt towrads her.. it again wasn't lust or infactuation, it was still love!

Why does everyone in this show keeps hiding stuff from each other? Khushi thinks RM ppl and ASR will never find out that Buaji is not sick... Buaji will never find out that she has left RM? Why doesn't ASR give a clear view of what exactly happened during the wedding night so that Khushi's name is cleared from the mess he created, he might exclude the contract but come on.. who's sentiments is he worried about now, everything is out in the open anyway.. and most importantly what will Khushi achieve out of not telling the truth to the Guptas now? Payal is hiding her high heels, Akaash is hiding his spine, Mami is hiding Mamaji, Nani is hiding her goatwa.. WHY???
