Hello Hello,
I spend the weekend thinking there is no way Arnav/ Chotte will be able to handle the accusations that Anjali throws at him. He will never tell her the whole truth and to rectify the situation the ruthless ASR will have to come out to play ball and order everyone into behaving appropriately... which will result in Anjali being heartbroken and blaming the lastest change in her brothers life aka Khushi... Sounds like a plot of a hindi drama/ movie... I was ready for this to play out.
But then...
What did I get????????????? the absoluelty unexpected. OH MY GOD!!!! WOW, did they just NOT go down the path that every other show would be on? Did they just start swimming in the other direction???? Did Arnav remain Arnav???
Today is the day that I will stand up and give credit where credit is due.
To the creative team of IPKKND, you are the Lord and Masters, we are mere spectators and you, you my friends, are the people who walk the walk, not just talk the talk. All I can say is keep up the good work.
So to my thougths on the episode today,
Gaadi patri peh aah rahi hai!!!!
Akash and Payal, he understands her, she understands him. He tells her such actions must never happen again, she knows they cannot if her relationship has to survive. And a new chapter begins... Short, succinct and totally in character. Akash as a character is logical, he needed some space to think, which he was not getting with Payal hovering. Payal on the other hand, was just trying to do what she is supposed to do. I love that she bit back, you know who holds the reigns here. Very, very nice scene.
Khushi and Nani:
Khushi shared such a relationship with her dad, where she went to him when her heart was heavy. Today she is sharing her insecurities with Nani. She really wants to be sharing them with Arnav but she knows that she cannot because she doesn't want to further the rift between them. Nani says what Khushi needs to hear, but Khushi knows she has to do more.
Khushi and Akash:
The jija-saali relationship has been maintained, there is no bad blood there everything is now in the open, boundaries have been laid down.
Khushi and Payal:
The apology is heart felt, and Payal knows Khushi was trying to help, but Payal was just trying to make sure that Khushi knows good intentions doesn't necessarily mean good actions follow.
Mami and Khushi:
Khushi understands Mami only loves her niece and if Anjali forgives her then everything will be ok.
Mami and Nani:
Nani holds the reigns, Mami can gallop anywhere, well her mouth can but she is brought in line by Nani.
Arnav and Khushi:
He is slowly understanding what his wife truly wants, it could be the furtherest thing from what he thought she wanted, today she smiled for a Rs 10 chana packet, which the designer bag, sari and flowers did not do. He stands by her even when she doesn't want him there. He knows something is not right so he asks not demands ask, prodes gently. He has fully accepted his love her, and now he wants to show it to the whole world that she is his better half, she one and only, HIS WIFE!!!! Now we see the emergence or rather the triumphant return of Arnav Mallik!!!
Khushi on the other hand recognizes her rajkumar, the one she dreamed about, the one who remembers her every little bugging habit, she wants to reach out to him but she cannot, she has to let him go, so he can be happy or so she thinks.
Anjali and Khushi:
Anjali acknowledges Khushi's existences and ask about her family, talking about the weather means you are trying to make conversation, asking about someones family shows the personal relationship that is being rebuilt. The old Anjali would hav sent some food with Khushi, but we are taking baby steps to recovery.
Khushi on the other hand, has matured so much, for Anjali to say a word to her she feels forgiven for saying the things that lead Anjali to the abortion clinic, Khushi literally wanted to jump and hug Anjali but she restrained herself.
And finally, in my saving the best for last funda,
Arnav and Anjali:
IT was the most beautiful brother and sister scene EVER!!!! These two must have been siblings in a past life or something. Arnav explained why he married Khushi. How he fell in love with her, after he figured out her innocence. Arnav didn't understand what he felt for Khushi, yes he knew he was attracted to her, worried for her but the fact that he loves her with a passion that shocks himself that realization came later. Much much later.
Anjali is perplexed about hearing the reason for the marriage, but like the saying, the end justifies the means, all she hears is Arnav her Chotte repeating the words that she had once said to him, he laughed at the notion at the time, today he said to her that her words are true and Khushi is one for him.
Anjali forgot her own sorrows, and rejoiced for her Chotte. Today, Anjali was a mother who had a disabled son, loved him with all her heart but she knew he was disabled, and then a miracle happens and her son is healed, that miracles name is Khushi, how can she then be angry with Khushi? She must make ammends for the sake of her Chotte. Here we see how much bigger of a person Anjali is, she may be jaded, dillusional at times, but she is a good person, she rejoices in someoneelses happiness and forgets her pain. THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE ESSENCE OF ANJALI MANOHAR JHA!!!
So CV's since I'm lost on what to expect next here are somethings I would like to see.
1. Arnav is getting an education in smelling the roses along the way, liking the little things in life. Can Khushi get a lesson in sophistication. She needs to realize that he is from a different status circle and she will want to live up to the tag of Mrs. ASR.
2. Anjali and Shyam, I understand that Anjali being Anjali will give him another chance, but I would very much like to see the back story of how he came into her life anyway.
Performances were so amazing today I can't even begin to describe it. But today for me belonged to Sanaya Irani, both times I could literally feel that she wanted to hug both Arnav and Anjali and it was taking all of her stopping herself, brillant. brillant.brillant. Barun and DB you guys are toh the bestest.
Special mention to NK, one line in a 20 min episode and you still manage to be memorable.
To the lovely ladies of this thread, thank you for your kinds words of encouragement, this has been so fun interacting with everyone.
