Having seen so many posts on Anjali, and then Dajeet herself trying to justify the character. I have to say, Cv's ,Daljeet, if you do happen to read this, many of us do understand what Anjali is doing and why, what she's going through, and fair enough, she is mentally unstable. The one person who has always been there for her is not giving her the attention she is used to and etc. The real problem lies when YOU SAY that Anjali is a parallel lead….this story is about a sibling relationship…if that's the case then why is the name ''Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon''. why not stick to your original ''Didi ki saut''

The show has always been promoted as a love story, a love story between two individuals whose beliefs clash…who want to love but can't….who want to hate but can't. What happened to the original tagline of this show, what happened to it being a story of a couple who go through pain..hurt…betrayal but their love wins in the end, an exploration of their relationship and their pasts. I didn't see a single promo showing me that Anjali was the parallel lead or that this is a story to explore a sibling relationship. Yes no doubt, Anjali's character holds a certain importance over other side characters. But I still didn't tune in to watch a brother-sister relationship and watch what happens when one loses a cheat of a husband and the other learns to love…and how the dynamics change between them. If this what the show was to be about why not promote it this way from the beginning instead of underlining it and then throwing it our faces and telling us to accept it ..or we have the remote in our hands

In reply to a post which I'm guessing you yourselves wrote cvs…yes it is crucial to show the side characters for the story to move on. Nevertheless it does not go to say that they should become more important then the leads themselves. Whilst your exploring Anjali's feelings I don't have a clue as to what the main lead is feeling after everything she has been put through. The cost of what your showing right now, as always is costing the protagonists characters and your story.

Regardless, whilst I do believe showing Anjali' feelings are important, it however doesn't go to say that at the same time throw the mature blossoming love story in the bin and give us crap in return to stall the story, so that we understand Anjali….move it forward. Why is it that everything that has happened between the leads in the last couple of weeks has been forgotten??…thrown under a rug just so that we get to see how Anjali reacts to Arnav loving/ wooing Khushi?? The TRPS going down are very clearly depicting what you are showing…

The show you created is losing its original essence ….Need I say more

Aisha!! A big Khushi wala hug for you for this sensible post.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon is a star-crossed love story presenting an interesting contrast of personalities entwined in a relationship swinging between love & hate. Khushi and Arnav have diametrically opposite ideologies. If Khushi believes in means, Arnav believes only in ends. Khushi's relationships are the most important to her, whereas Arnav believes all people come with a price and can be manipulated for one's benefit. Khushi, an 18 year old from UP, is simple, rooted in family and is driven by a clear moral compass. She stands for what she believes in, and never lets go of her inculcated values. She will not change herself to conform to people's shallow expectations. In stark contrast, Arnav is a 28 year old self made, ruthless, 'win at all costs' man who believes everything can be bought in the world, including love. He has no consideration for relationships and no qualms for using & manipulating people as pawns to achieve his ambitions. As the story progresses, their love-hate relationship witnesses a series of dramatic conflicts. While Arnav constantly tries to break Khushi's steadfast morals just in order to prove to himself that he can control everyone; Khushi on the other hand, tries to always follow her values & morals.

This is the summary of the show posted here on IF.

There's no mention of this suddenly important brother-sister relationship, and how Anjali is important enough a character to be a parallel lead never mind main lead.

Deny it all they may, but right now, Khushi and her track of thoughts are fading away...Such an infamous argument happened between A and K when Arnav blamed everything on Khushi, and what do we see? Anjali getting annoyed at them two celebrating Khushi's birthday.

Whattay disappointment

We were promised a refreshing new love story. The concept was good. The characters amazing. They had everything going god for them. Until they decided to change track. What made them change a track which was working for them? It is rather unfair on the part of CVs to call us viewers one dimensional. We want the CVs to be true to original plot/ concept/ story line. It was supposed to be a battle of wills against two very strong characters who had absolutely different ideas about love and life. We were promised a radical love story. And you are delivering a retrograde "Didi Ki Saut" track. Your USP was the romance between the lead, the love-hate relationship.

I have full sympathy for Amjali. I have always sympathized with her in all my posts. I do see where she is coming from. I truly do feel her pain. I can understand her bewilderment, her denial, her disappointment. But what I can not understand is her schizophrenic act. At times she does this possessive, jealous, jilted girlfriend act and at other times she is this fragile, broken, numb, disoriented wife who is still not able to reconcile herself to the harsh reality of her life.

I have no problem if the CVs want to pitch the two couples against each other and play with them. It would be quite entertaining to see the dynamics of the two sets of couples. But please do away with this Anjali being the "second/ parallel" lead.

We don't need Arhi/ Rabba Ve dose 24*7. We want a good story. Bring in side characters but don't give them the center stage. Use them wisely to promote your lead actors. There is a reason why DB/AM/AD are at the wings and can never take the center stage. Stop giving in to the demands of your actors, specially the secondary ones who are easily replaceable.

Take care of your precious baby before it goes out of your hand and you have no choice but regre and repent. Nobody wants an unruly child. And his unruliness is very much evident in his "report card" in the form of TRPs. A miserable Two! Shame! CVs eat your words. Let bygones be bygones, let us all work together to bring it back its previous/ past glory.

I am still not understanding why they r suddenly selling this IPKKNd as Di ki saut???
Will Daljeet give them TRPs??? I am sure if u ask 100 people...how many will say they watch it for daljeet...may 1 or 2...
ITs true that story revolved around her..to save her...to protect this delicate Diana...but never thought she will turned out negative or grey...
Today she is after nani to make her believe that khushi is after this..did u see how she was wording and playing??
Woh aise nahi ho sakte..so shyam is out..
chotte aisa hamare saath kabhi nahi kar sakte..so asr is out..
so who is lying here...its khushi...

They have turned such positive character into negative...esp she has witnessed everything between arhi...
I am not buying this...

this- this is what is bothering me. They seem to show the scenes from Anjali's perspective while we have no idea what Khushi's thinking. Suddenly everything revolves around anjali, how anjali sees rabba ves, how anjali sees her chotte's actions.
What about the female lead's perspective? we saw the show in Khushi's eyes uptill a week back. Now we see it in Anjlai's eyes. I have seen more and more of this tendency and Khushi's importance of character seems to get sidelined consistently.
And it's bothering me. A lot.

Fantastic post and so glad you made this topic! Especially the above part I quoted...that's the reason for all this animosity towards her. The show was building up Arnav and Khushi's relationship beautifully for the past couple of months but all the progress has been ruined in the past week in an attempt to show how much Di matters to both of them.

This is a love story, not a family drama. So supporting characters are not meant to matter as much as they do in typical saas-bahu shows. Last week was the first week we saw Anjali being shown as a parallel lead. They showed a heavy dose of her...trying to kill her baby, having emotional breakdowns every 10 minutes...all it led to was a drop in the TRPs...when it should have increased as Barun is back full time and SP has been promoting the show so much. I hope the message has been received.

Gautam Hedge and Daljeet actually said Anjali was a main lead 🤣 If this is how people are reacting to her being a parallel lead, imagine if she was a main lead, the show would get cancelled in the first 6 months. They were smart to change the concept of the show before selling it to us, not sure why they are going back to it now. It might be a combination of an actor's demands and the writers simply running out of ideas. Whatever the case is, the show is not the same anymore.

Exactly!! They're concentrating on Anjali.. I mean, this has been a big blow for her, yes. But what about these two people who've been married because of that one misunderstanding, the result of which they are facing now?

Khushi has gone through so much for saving him. She even put up with the leech she was saving this family from. Is this not a difficult phase for her? How is she so chirpy and normal? So normal, that instead of looking out for her own relationship with her husband whom she actually loves, she is going and trying to settle disputes in her sister's marriage! How is that possible?

Great post, by the way! :)

"Need I say more"... Honestly, leave it to the TRPs to speak from now on. I was actually happy to see TRPs at 2.0 (even if it was a mistake). Because sooner or later, 2.0 will be a sad reality for this show. 3.0 was just a trailer this week... Picture aabhi baaki hai GH! 😈 He has taken his audience for granted and I want him to realize this. It will be a slow but definite trend in TRPs dropping if they keep going back to this Didi Ki Saut concept.

These people are hell bent on making it Didi Ki Saut. How do they begin to deem such a regressive idea as "Nayi Sooch"!! I've written this countless times, Didi Ki Saut is a retrograde concept! It's just a new twist on the ever-existent idea of Saas-Bahu. And you are right, we have actually been kept in the dark about this all along. If this was Didi Ki Saut and Anjali played such a pivotal role in the story, then why, oh WHY was she not in a SINGLE promo in the beginning? Why did they hype up "Nafrat Paas Aane Na De Mohobat Door Jaane Na De"?? Why did they say it's a star-crossed love story and suddenly switch gears when we have become obsessed with this show? Why have we been fooled for so long?😆

Again, I say don't waste your breath. Let the crazy CVs do their job, and let the TRPs do it's job... GH is not going to take critism, he cannot handle it. Instead he will put up lame excuses about his "hardwork". And he will show just how "hard" he's worked by drawing pictures of Chamkili and her Lard Governer for everyone to admire on twitter. That's his idea of "working hard" ..👏 *Bravo, Bravo Mr. Hedge!* Long live, "dekhna hai toh dekho".. It will definitely take you far! 👍🏼
