Hiruni i agree with everything u said..but what made me really angry was the accompanies expressions he had!
specially the places where shyam's true face about khushi was untold..it actually baffled me..then the anger came..

i think the director or the editors did screw up with the expressions..they were so off!! he looked confused rather than angry! !

I also feel he should've piped up towards the end when he Shyam began talking about how he would only divorce Anjali to shut Khushi up. Shyam had told Arnav that he loves Khushi and only Anjali was in his way of getting her, so why didn't the penny drop then for Arnav that Shyam is bullshitting?

Today was a memorable day..a day when everyone found out by Shyam, and Arnav wasn't even engaging in conversation...The entire thing was disappointing for me. My hopes are now pinned on this bitch slap :p

Aaliyah, editting/ direction wise it's a disappointment (as usual) but im sticking to the fact that Arnav was true to his character. At least this is how I had expected him to react when he saw that terrace scene.

At bold I think this will be the turning point (since Shyam is saying diametrically opposite things) I hope Arnav wont have a case of amnesia and forget that Shyam said he loved Khushi and Anjali is the hurdle between them and all.. If all goes well that would be the biggest clue to arnav to believe khushi. but ofcourse we'd love to believe Arnav has full trust on khushi and doesnt need any evidence.

And yes. Im SO looking forward to the slap. But im even more excite for Payal to back khushi up during the history repeating session. want to see arnav's face. I hope the rest of the gupthas will come to the picture too.

sunara, I know what you mean 😆 well for one, the editting was horrible. secondly I think it's just a ploy to make the viewrs becaume all hot and bothered about what arnav's thinking..sort of a buid up for the big slap..it's more entertaining when it comes off the blue..you know..makes it more exciting 😆

actually the confused expression I took as a contemplating look. But then it all depends on how you look at it 😉

Interesting observations and reasons and very well presented.

But why the sudden logic/patience in ASR's character. As far as I understand ASR's character he is feisty..how come he is not reacting?! Ok he does not want to be a conversation breaker and is keenly observing, but why the poker faced expressions? It looks like they have taken this one WHATEVA expression of Barun and keep chipkoying it between frames...the attention pose is by a BD!

Why has ASR's ruthless persona suddenly become meek? He is not reacting and that is what bothers me as a viewer! Even Akash had something to say today! No offence, but is he telepathically trying to understand? It blows my mind that this very ASR who confronted Shyam after the terrace incident is suddenly passive!

Oh well I hope your inference of his chuppi is all true...because to be quite honest after the 2 months kidnapping drama I dont want to see ASR giving spaced out expressions...!

Hiru - i like your thought process and truly wish it was how they intended. However, given recent slide in direction and story telling, I hardly think that sort of depth guided the makers of the show.

They simply are waiting for the Grand Slap to open Arnav's Dam of Anger. Barun's expressions were a bit bland, even if we justified the silence.

Thanks Hiru ... though I really wish they would have shown a few more
- better expressions from Arnav
- dialogues from Akash & Naniji (though am glad at least Naniji is not keeling over with a stroke 😛)

Am so hoping that the CV's have given some good dialogues to Payal -- if she could take on ASR in the guesthouse episode, then hell yeah she can take on the creep.

Lastly am seriously hoping the thappad is not played out on Monday ... wont survive a 3 day wait
