In defence of Arnav *edited on 06/07

Edit- Attention! This post was posted after Thursday's episode. I am no longer holding these sentiments after watching Friday's episode. While I agree to his silence earlier, he should not have kept silent once such slandering kept going infront of him and he had ample proof to support KKG's claim.

Everyone who knows me know that I am highly critical of Arnav character. Hence one can almost say that this is coming from an unbiased viewer who doesn't hold too much of a soft spot for some of the things Arnav does.

Arnav's silence on the whole matter is creating ripples. Why is he so quiet when his wife is being shred to piece in the hands of a vile snake? Why is he quiet when his wife is being humiliated right infront of his eyes? Has his 'I love you' gone for a toss?

Firstly let us look at his character. He could be quite emotional when it comes to loosing his very dear ones. He became as emotional wreck on several occasions where his sister and Khushi were involved. That's because he loves them very much.

But let us not forget who he really is. He's the cold, calculative, manipulative, shrewd business man and these qualities are ingrained in him. One can't become successful without them.

Two reasons for his silence.

1) He's giving Khushi a chance to speak and defend herself. He's watching, he's listening, he's taking everything in and I'm pretty sure wheels inside his head are spinning. He never really gave Khushi a chance to explain herself regarding the shyam fiasco. The man has learnt his lessons well. I reiterate, he's giving Khushi the chance to speak.

2) His wife herself started the whole scenario. She was the one who initiated the argument. Tell me something, what can he do right now when Khushi is continuing the debate and doesn't have a single source to defend herself? She's falling short on everything Shyam says to defend himself.

- Arnav is NOT someone who'd jump into the middle and start yelling to back off without real evidence to back his claim. He knows Khushi's innocent. But he can't help her. He's an outsider in this Shyam-Khushi confrontation. Logically, he can't do anything without sounding ridiculous infront of his family. I repeat he has nothing to back his claim regarding Khushi's innocence.

And I'm glad they are showing a logical Arnav who's not acting as if he's off his rocker with a yelling fit.

Im glad Arnav is harnessing his emotions and letting Khushi do the talking.

agreed! it wouldnt make that much sense for him to just jump in and start defending khushi...he wouldnt be convincing!

I agree with u partly but atleast his expressions could have been better. I understand that he has nothing to say and is meeting khushi speak but he should have been angry and bubbling with rage when his wife was being put down by that snake

i agree and i m not against his silence...yes i want him to slap shyam and react but i guess everything has its own tym...

Don't know if i can agree with u here .. M still giving him the benefit of doubt hoping that he and khushi had a conversation before entering RM .. But to me its starting to look like he is waiting for proof on khushi s story .. Could be because of the editing n showing almost similar emotions of arnav in most scenes .. But i m actually more frustrated with the other family members .. I really want khushi to first prove herself n then walk out after she gives it to them about how much this family has cost her from the beginning ! not happening though :-( i know .. Ok enough wenting .. Phew :-(
