The moment he goes to untie her, the goondas reach there and we see ASR back - thinking things through. Remember, ASR has always been practical, he considers all angles before taking a decision, he lists out pros and cons in his head before taking any step forward. He remained true to his character, ASR is impulsive only when emotions take control of him, here his mind was still at work.He was very clever - he waited till the goondas were OFF their bikes, he must have considered what could have happened had they still been on bikes while he was untying Khushi, probably tried to dash into both of them. So, he waits till they leave their mean machines and only then rushes to free Khushi from her bondages.He manages to untie one knot I think because Khushi soon loosens it and unties herself.
