And then, the night fell...
I'm in two minds about tonight's episode.
I did love today's episode from the point of view of plot and the way this story is pushing out all limits and overflowing, threatening a menace.
On the other hand, it was hard to see Khushi undergo what she put herself through.
It was hard to see Arnav's help, his note to Khushi about his location, lying unseen.
It was hard to think what yield today's sowing might bring. Hopefully, the harvest is a good one.
Just as all that glitters isn't gold - sometimes, it is the darkest clouds that have the silver lining and have a promise of sunshine.
Performance
LOVED Sanaya, Karan, and Abhaas today.
LOVED CVs too, especially for the mind-blowing precap! For being brave enough to show what they want to - thank goodness! and Well Done!!
Progress Points
1. NK & Khushi break into Shyam's password.
2. NK discovers the 'sick mind' of Shyam.
3. Khushi ... does it again!!
Favorite Scene
Khushi: I will do it. Saving Arnav is far more important.
Eww Scene
Okay, this is just for fun.
Shyam proposing Khushi is ARNAV'S ROOM!!! Ahhh!!!! NIGHTMARE for Fandom!!
Get his hands away from Khushi! For once, Fandom might like to be the Thakur who'd destroy the arms of this yucky Gabbar with their nail-ridden shoes!! (How melodramatic!)
Clean the room with Dettol!! (For hygiene sake!)
Khushi
Khushi is focused. On Arnav that is - not at all on herself or anything else that may be going on in the much-less important world around her, which obviously is unworthy of being compared with Arnav Singh Raizada. Or so believes, Khushi.
Khushi is committed. She would do whatever it takes – and she means 'WHATever' to get back the man she loves.
Khushi is a tigress - totally living up to her reputation – quite literally chewing Shyam apart, totally unafraid; except for Arnav's life.
Khushi knows her priorities; quite simply - Arnav. Nothing else stands close.
Yet...
Horror caught her gut when she & NK discovered Shyam's password. Disgust must have wrenched her soul. She visibly shook from within. It was a saving grace that NK trusted her instantly. He saw her and he knew she was being truthful.
Khushi is doing for Arnav what Arnav would do for her without blinking an eyelid. In fact, it is exactly what Arnav did when he hit her to save her from being kidnapped. He was so concerned about not leaving her at the mercy of kidnappers, that he chose to hurt her himself. He hurt her himself, hid her from himself, and gave himself as bait.
Khushi too is so focused on saving Arnav from the clutches of the kidnappers, that she is willing to hurt him herself rather than let Shyam kill him. She is giving herself as bait so that Arnav may be saved.
Question is, would Arnav see himself reflected in Khushi when he sees her as she is today - walking in stench and filth, yet pure, untouched, and fragrant?
Question also is, if Arnav trusts the proofs against Khushi, would Khushi find it easy to trust him again? I wonder if she would be able forgive him - but forgiveness needs to be followed by trust.
Arnav
The recording: If Arnav has to go through the agony and torture of hearing it play after he returns home, it may be worse than the night he was at the terrace. It might be the end for Arnav and anything that concerns itself with love.
I sort of remembered the night Arnav hid Khushi in the haystack - that reminded me of a funeral pyre and him kissing his love goodbye. The pain may be beyond bearable.
To hear Khushi say all she did, and what she heard in return; to see Shyam preparing to divorce Anjali (if he goes for the bait) and the reason is seen to be Khushi – Arnav (poor chap) may end up cursing the day he fell in love with Khushi Kumari Gupta.
I hope he is more confused than pained!
Dark Clouds..? Yes!
So where is the silver lining?
It sounds like the stuff fairy tales are made of - either them, or some of those 'true love' love stories.
If two are to become one, then each has to lose a half - the half that stands against their being one - the wretched 'self'. Becoming one then becomes as it should be - selfless. Love . cannot be unconditional, unless it is first selfless. (Conditions are launched from 'self' – which gives rise to 'selfishness', opposite of 'selflessness'.)
By breaking herself so completely, Khushi has given up every right to herself, her life, her freedom. Khushi will go through whatever she is doing. She is attempting to do all she can and more than she can – only for Arnav. She has no other motive; nothing else drives her except his love.
By giving up herself, Khushi has made herself an inseparable part of Arnav's being. Khushi had even understood the reason of Arnav hurting her in the hut. She did not have to wait for an explanation or an apology (though both came when Arnav called her). She trusted him completely - through knowing him, through knowing who Arnav is.
Arnav is not at this stage as of now.
Arnav is yet to reach a stage where trust for Khushi would come as normally as breathing to him. He's told her that he trusts himself more than he trusts her. He must get to the stage where he may mistrust himself, but not her.
He will get to that stage if he feels he's lost her for good. Then, he might do just about anything and everything to get her back - to the point of giving him-'self' up for her.
When he does, he will have become an inseparable part of Khushi.
Heer has become Ranjha. Would Ranjha stand up and claim Heer as his own?
Not on your own, Khushi!
Khushi is doing what Arnav has warned her not to do - his one constant advice to her – 'Khushi, you cannot do everything on your own.'
I'd been wondering if Khushi kept her past with Shyam and his trickeries from NK, then when the truth is out, NK may find himself on a sticky wicket when it came to standing by Khushi. She has many witnesses and proofs. I was hoping (seriously) that when she made herself the bait for Shyam, NK would be there - thank goodness, he was.
Khushi once again gave herself as bait for Shyam so that she could get past the password protected pen-drive.
She'd pitched herself so deep in the muck that she would not be able to come free on her own. She's stained her own face today.
Back to Pritika's Wedding
Khushi tricked Arnav, who learnt the truth from Bua Ji and went to follow Khushi. He found her trying to fix the gen-set. She failed. However, before she failed, Arnav was on the scene. He saw her get embarrassed and others wondering about her capability. Arnav didn't like Khushi being ashamed when she was only trying to help someone. Arnav took the tools and fixed the gen-set.
The good news (as per foreshadows) is that after she's failed, Arnav would come and save the day. Also, (as per foreshadows), Arnav would have discovered the truth, joined the dots, and followed Khushi to see her deep in trouble too big for her to handle.
What this 'might' (keyword: might) point to, is that Shyam would be alerted to Khushi's trick and thereby Khushi may fail in trying to rid Anjali of Shyam. It might lead to Shyam blurting out his lies and blaming Khushi for getting him to divorce Anjali. Somewhere during this time, Arnav may finally wake up and smell the coffee.
After Arnav fixed the gen-set, he saw stain on Khushi's face and cleaned it.
Arnav may only be able to redeem Khushi from all accusations, after he's done what Khushi was trying to do - get Shyam out of Anjali's life.
Also, going by my logic (keyword: 'my', that is, not necessarily the CVs), Shyam must be ousted from RM and Anjali's life, before Khushi enters RM as the true and proper wife of Arnav Singh Raizada. The right coming together of Arnav and Khushi can only come about when Shyam's had some level of comeuppance and Anjali is free from tears (and tissues).
However, Khushi went away from Arnav after he cleaned her face - totally mistaking his true intent. She again attempted to help the family get the flowers down from a makeshift tent. She went up a shaky ladder and when she got blinded by dupatta in her face. Arnav followed her, warned her, stopped her, went the ladder, unveiled her face – thereby coming face to face with her, and then, they both fell off the ladder (and got showered by petals!)
Khushi may not get Arnav's intent and go away. Arnav may follow her (obviously! Seeing as he can't much live very well without his Khushi watering the plants of his garden). Khushi again went off to help someone, still blinded by (or in) her view. Arnav had to do a lot before he could get Khushi down (including a full on Rabba vey). He unveiled her face – cleared her doubts – he was willing to climb up a shaky ladder just to get Khushi down safely.
What I am waiting for is the coming face-to-face with each other. They have NEVER had this (and I don't mean Rabba vey) coming face to face. Seeing each other as they are, no doubts, no mistaken views, no veils, no hidden agendas, no dirty secrets, no in-between fake reasons and people.
The Uneven Equation
Khushi has gone and messed with something 4 sizes too big for her. This isn't something she can sort out on her own. Shyam may be fooled but he cannot be held in a daze by Khushi for too long.
In fact, Khushi is focused on getting Arnav back, and so she is playing the dangerous game. The moment Arnav is back, Khushi's demeanor for Shyam may change again. If by then Shyam has gone and acted on the Divorce Anjali movement as per Khushi's move for vengeance from Arnav, the heavens save Khushi.
Shyam said a few things in the week gone by that Khushi should NOT – by no means, under no circumstances, absolutely and totally NOT – take for granted or take lightly.
1. We are together in this now.
2. We are together in this for good.
3. I was with you, am with you, and will always be with you.
OUCH! (Who wants a leech stuck on them for eternity!?)
What he means is that he's got enough proofs against Khushi that if she tries to double-cross him, he'd make sure she gets her due. He'd not deny his involvement, but he'd make sure that Khushi looks like the Brain behind it all. Khushi is doing that very well too by asking Shyam to divorce Khushi.
Shyam is likely to make good of Arnav's weakness in Anjali and his lack of trust in Khushi. He knows that when it comes to his sister, Arnav does not compromise. He is likely to push home this advantage. He has too many keys now – a whole bunch – and he won't be hesitant to use them all, if needed. He is likely to use Arnav's emotions against Arnav.
The one thing however that keeps bobbing up in my mind is that – if Shyam blames everything on Khushi - will he overdo it? Will he do it to an extent where it becomes unbelievable that Khushi 'could' do something so cunning and shrewd? Will he be able to prove Khushi as evil as his proofs show her to be? Will not overdoing defeat the purpose?
Anyhow, with the Precap shown - it seems that Khushi has gone WAY beyond what is thought possible for her. She is back to stating what she did on the terrace. Will Arnav see that she is doing exactly what Arnav would have wanted and would have done for Anjali?
It seems - here is it - the twist to undo all twists! Roller-coaster - here it comes!!
The Good Report
1. NK is a proper witness now.
2. The pen-drive can be accessed.
3. Shyam does not know that Khushi knows that he is the kidnapper.
4. NK is out of Shyam's radar.
5. Shyam looks rather interested that Khushi is willing to consider his offer.
What I'd Love to See
After this whole mess is over, I'd love to see Khushi leaving for Australia with NK, and Arnav rushing after her to the airport, pleading her to not go.
Okay, I was just kidding - put your hockey sticks down!!
No, I don't think Khushi is better off with NK (or Shyam) if Arnav mistrusts her. Khushi belongs with Arnav - he is home to her. She would not be Khushi anywhere else.
Precap
Khushi tells Shyam that taking all money away from Arnav would not impact him. His pride would be destroyed if Shyam divorces Anjali.
Shyam seems to consider the idea. Let' see if he falls for it.
