Tell you what... I stay away from doctors and anything related to science 😉 but even as a layman I thought she'd go in for a DNA rather than blood group test ! All she needed was his hair or tooth brush along with the swab.

I agree with you, wet blood is more valuable than dry blood when it comes to blood type determination. Even though it is harder, its not impossible. But I will say that DNA testing becomes more sensible at that point and the way to go at that point. And for the blood type, it requires proper lab equipment and chemicals and they should be able to determine it. And also, I have no idea what she swabbed it on, so I won't say anything about that :D
