Marry Me

It had been two weeks since Khushi had saved Arnav...two weeks Arnav since their families had found out the truth about their relationship...two weeks since Khushi's family had taken her away...two weeks since he hadn't seen her...two weeks he had suffered in his misery.

He hated himself for what he had done. He deserved this misery afterall he had brought it on himself. Why could he not have believed her? Why did he not talk to her? Why did he not trust her? He had always seen the love shine in those doe eyes, but he had thought it a lie. His own insecurities had caused him to lose her. Just then nani called his name bringing him out of his self-hatred.

"Yes di," arnav said. "Chotte, I wanted to...," nani stopped talking as soon as she looked up at him. He knew what she must have seen. He tried to hide the pain but he knew he could not hide much from his nani.

"Chotte this is enough. Go get her right now," nani said in a scolding tone. "Nani you know I cant. After everything I have done...I can't even look her in the eye. I took her love and threw it on her face," arnav said.

"For the last two weeks you have worked yourself to death. And the rest of the time you sit here and think about her," nani's voice turned softer as she said, "we both know you love her, more than anything. You made a mistake chotte, everyone makes mistakes."

"No what I did was a sin. I took all her happiness from her...never gave her anything besides pain and misery."

"Chotte if you were the one to gave her pain then be the one to give her happiness. If you sinned then repent. Give her everything...give her all the world's happiness chotte. Never let a tear spill from her eyes. That will be your punishment chotte...that is how you can make things right. Plus do you think she is happy right now. You and I both know that her parent's took her away from here, but she did not want to go. Her eyes were screaming for you to stop her. But you didn't chotte. You should have. Despite everything you have done, she still loves you...only you. And you love her too, so go and get her chotte. Right now," nani said.

"But nani I don't deserve her," arnav said with misty eyes.

Nani looked at him with love, "then change...be the man who does deserve her..."

Arnav looked up at nani and realized she was right. He could not live without her; he had tried for the last two weeks. He needed her. He would never let anything happen to her, he would spend the rest of his life making it up to her, he would give her everything, he would love her more than anything. Nani's version of punishment sounded more like heaven.

"Go arnav right now," and Arnav ran out his bedroom, down the stairs. He got in his car thinking of her. He would beg if he had to, he would do everything he had to. He would beg parents as well.

He reached Khushi's house and got out of the car. He knew her parents would not let him see her right now so he called her. "Khushi, can you please come outside. I just want to talk to you for a minute,"

Khushi looked out of the window then and moonlight illuminated her face. God he loved her so much.

"Arnav ji...aap. I will be out in a minute."

While arnav was waiting for her it started raining. He would stay out in the rain all night if that meant he could talk to her for just a minute.

"Arnav ji what are you doing here? What if amma, babuji, buaji saw you..." Khushi said as she came out of her house.

"Khushi...," he would brave through her parents hatred for her later. But right now he needed to tell her. He needed her to know what she meant to him.

"Khushi ek baat thi joh mane kabhi tumhe nahi batiyi," arnav said as the rain poured down.

"I love you..." Arnav's voice broke slightly. "I am sorry is not enough. I know that. My whole lifetime repenting is still not enough for what I have done to you, but will you please give me the chance. There was a time when I stood in his rain and taunted you...called you names but today I promise I will always keep you happy. I promise I will give you everything. I promise I will be with you until our hair turns grey, but please..." Arnav got down on his knees and said "give me one chance, marry me Khushi," arnav said.

Khushi looked down at him with love filled eyes and said "I was never angry with you arnav ji. I could never be angry at you because mujhe farak padta hai arnav ji. I love you. I will marry you even if you don't make all these promises."

"Khushi," arnav said as he got up off his knees and hugged her.

His whole world was in his arms. He had everything now.

Happy Birthday HIRU. I made a thread yesterday, but wanted to give you a gift. 😃 I would gift you shoes and cute cuddlies 😆 but unfortunately you live too far away. So this will have to do. Plus I will update the thin line and bundle of joy tomorrow too. Btw, is it cute enough madam??
