Perhaps it happens. But what I am happy is that filmy or not they are sticking to the essence-ARHI love

Bingo!

I and my sister have been giggling away at this filmy track and BOND mami's antics,Khushi getting abducted along with Arnav, and all the bollywood-ized things they have shown in the past few episodes!

But, since everything seems to be moving on and the essence of IPK is still intact, I have no complaints.

Yay.

lol agreed. I'm used to indian serials going the filmy way but IPK is doing a better job than all of them. Hero protecting heroine by fighting goons, kidnapping, them escaping and what not is veryy filmy but since it's in IPK, no complains! I'm loving this track. It's moving not too fast, not too slow!

True rima...I'm loving it...It is filmy but seems perfect right now...It helped Arshi realise the depth of their love for each other and willingness to do anything for each other...

Arnav's dream sequence was perfect...The smile on his face when he sees khushi and the pain when he realises it a dream...The regret he feels for all the pain he has caused her in FB's...Just perfect...

Can't wait till tomorrow...

I absolutely loved ASR's dream as well as Khushi's. Both dreaming about each other was a treat

I think the current track is utterly filmy. Goons and kidnap and rescue and escape and so much more.

Never thought my class apart IPKKND will take this route.

Initally I was a little apprehensive and kind of not so keen. Call it pseudo intellectual snob behaviour!

But as the track is moving I really like the small things they have brought out in this track...small things that build this love story and keep the essence of IKKND...
Khushi's concern and love and worry and utter devotion to her husband
Arnav missing his wife and longing for her despite his misconceptions
Anjali-Khushi bond
Mami-Khushi bond
Love conquering danger and fear
Love braving all odds
And that's why I[KKND still rocks...filmy style and all...because it still speaks about love and human bonding without being too filmy about them!

So the filmy track is still right on track!

Damn for Mr. Rational I am behaving quite irrationally. I was looking for your post all morning to write stuff about the episodes I saw last night (from the past) and the difference to today's stuff!!! This love affair with IPKKND is awesome and you know you are right on the money again.

Here is why:

1. I was watching the "pre-engagement with Lavanya (right after Deepavali" episodes where Arnav is bullying the girl to "submit" to him and be the first one to express "Love" -- I guess this is the only business where "first mover advantage" is not real for a party -- Women! Woman coming out and expressing love doesnt really work most of the time and the narcissistic guy was pushing that. The reason I explained this is how subtle this was especially in shot where he buys the jewelry that Khushi likes and puts it on Lavanya and says "mien ne tuhmari pasand ki cheez lavanya ko de di hain, I hope tumhe koi farak nahin padta" -- this is typical business power play!! This started around the 70th episode when he knew he wasnt able to shake the thoughts out of his head -- Very nice job by the writers -- brilliance in human emotions was clear here -- could be a very feminine thing that is so damn sentimental but effects all -- very real.

2. With portrayals like these this was a real Movie Material show that ran for over 65 hours till the had the brain fart.

3. Now I think they dont have a way to bring it back other than try these filmy things because they did everything wrong for 2 months, and now they have bring back the two into a tussle at home. So, for that to happen they had to first take him out (more a schedule thing than anything) and then they had to re-inject him into the show. There is quite a bit more stupidity here with the facility storing sensitive material being locked with a single lock blah blah but we all know what they are trying to do -- bring it back home to start showing that "emotional struggle" in the subtle and "pulling" way they did so far.

So, I think we can forgive them for some crap in the middle -- after all they put quite a bit of it up on air for 2 months. A little bit more if it takes us back to the subtle struggle is worth it.

This is the reason I like some of the Amnesia posts! It makes perfect sense -- you cannot have the audience have "collective amnesia" so let us just give the lead pair Amnesia and bring it back to a place where the whole thing can go back to "wooing" -- the strong point of the show where they were wooing each other while maintaining their "PRIDE" -- awesome writing there. Beautifully portrayed as well. See the wooing part is what kept the interest and there is no reason it shouldnt continue especially because they really developed the two characters very well.

So, as always Rima you are right on the money. I guess these guys did not have a choice they had screwed up way too much for the last 60 days.

This is definitely a fun addiction to have.
