Redressal Configuration : CVs vs Forum - Page 8

First & foremost - GH & Sanchita have given me the 2 shows in the history of Indian soaps that I have loved and followed. They gave me Love Ne Mila Di Jod (& PriDa) and they gave me Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Duin and Arnav & Khushi. Arshad who is the director now of Iss Pyar Ko and was incidentally the director of the previous show I loved.

I love their creativity and their ability to sketch characters with faults and yet keep them real, relatable and lovable. I try my best to be cognizant of all aspects of putting together the perfect show, script, direction, music, editing within my limited capacity & even lesser grey cells.

I have immense respect for GH as a writer, love his ability to bring in subtle symbolisms, drawing out an elaborate puzzle while keeping the story in limelight. It was the story and the characterization that drew me to this show too.

Yet I feel, at best ambivalent, towards GH's post. Was it required from GH? It makes him appear a little needy and I dont like THAT part. If you see the page, there are just rants right now and members quoting each other and fighting on the page. It would be impractical to expect any other response - its like opening a pandora's box.

As a creator of a product - you dont question the consumer. You stick to your main product believing in its quality, promote it and hope that you attract the consumers that you targetted in the 1st place. You review the feedback given to you, filter and take up what makes sense to your output and focus on improving or course correct if you so believe. Reject it if you think it deserves rejection.. Questioning the feedback cannot be the answer in my opinion.

The note just makes him defensive... and I as a viewer know that he DOES NOT need to do that! The show is good... Nay... Its GREAT. Focus on that storyline that generated you the revenues in the 1st place and it will garner you the respect you deserve. ( You said that so beautifully in your comment & crooner Priya... I know mine just sounds scrambled)

I love GH & Sachita as creatives... and all the more a reason why I feel they didnt need to take this route and open themselves to further bashing.

I dont know if it makes sense to comment on the FB post anymore... will check when the furor has subsided a little maybe. I know for the life of me.. I cant but not appreciate the CVs for what they have given me.. 2 mesmerizing charatcers and an beautifully etched story. They need our support and I will provide it whole heartedly.

But Crooner is a place I can share my candid opinion.. and I still wish GH hadnt made the post and subjected the CV's to further bashing . It's crazy how nasty it has got there!!

Agree with you. SJ said it really well and so did many others. we love the show, we love them, so we hate them when they mess up, else we would not care. and he and his team needs to get their act together. some stuff they have come out with is unbelievable - to the point where I am beginning to wonder if the problem is 1) they dont have good managers to do a better job of their logistics, only creatives, 2) whether any of them have been in a relationship beyond the unrequited stage. is that why they hash it so badly?
