While I love the romance, many married and family-dwelling people don't, and many people cannot watch it on their laptops or phones, like we can. They have to watch it in a family audience.

So CVs can take story ideas from us, but with the last minute story-lines, bloopers, inconsistencies (like not making sure BD had similar ring and string as Arnav does in his hands in today's epi) aren't doing much for TRPs. The fact that the show is shot only 2-3 days before its shown really makes it an edge-of-the-seat storyline.

Did I read somewhere that due to some reason (perhaps Barun's most misunderstood interview for his movie PH) the ILU episode was shown on Tuesday, as opposed to Wednesday. Talk about living on the edge. If the cast is working 12 hours, the crew, CVs and producers must be working 16 hours a day !!!!

Is it...? The ILU was scheduled for wed? I did not know! Forget about all external factors and trust the story you have. That's all i say. When you have such an awesome story why fear!😕

I remember in previous interviews with different CV's that their plot lines change very quickly and this forum is apart of that reason because its virtually the only place to give feedback to the show. But what they forget - and I guess some of us do too - is that the majority of us are not in India and most of us don't contribute to the TRPs. Whether its because of age (thus limited access to tv), online viewing only, etc. We're not the majority of the TRP audience. And as such, our ideas/objections/complaints/praises for the show, while we think may benefit the show, may actually do harm because in the end, TRPs decide whether the show stays alive or not.

Honestly, I just like to go with the flow of the story. I didn't mind the forced marriage track, I didn't mind the hatred track - I think because Sarun are such great actors, they brought out the characters feelings quite well and it was still enjoyable for me.

The CVs set out to try for a unique story and I think they were on the right track - they can still get back to it - if they just stick with their original ideas. The show didn't become popular from all of our opinions (not that I'm saying its wrong to have them - I just hope CVs aren't really always listening) but from their original plot line, the original promos, etc. That was all them, and I think if they can figure out a way back to that, all will be well.

I for one think its still salvageable granted they stop all the abrupt story line endings and switching of plots.

And, as others have said, quick plot changes makes everyone - cast & crew - work harder and results in sloppy work. Which ends up affecting the audience/TRPs too. I wish they would just calm down and pace themselves without dragging out one plot and then making it up by quickening the pace of the next.

Well said 👏. thanks for commenting. Quick plot changes! - Post marriage OTT khushi was the perfect example of emotional discontinuity and quick plot changes. All of sudden one monday morning we get to see a khushi, who is running all over RM and swearing revenge against Arnav! What? So where was the heart break of forceful marriage? 😕 In a way they lightened the marriage ritual as such and made it as a gimmick.Khushi was least bothered about her marriage and 6 month contract. I think thats one of the factors which alienated viewers post holi.

But this week the story gained momentum i hope it will bring some change in the trps. Nw my disagreement.. I will never want this shw to b smthg that convince middle aged ladies.. Wel if u culd notice BV's trp went high with the entry of a new guy who is supposed to b the female lead's luv interest. So cant say old ladies hate romance.;) I think the PH should move the story which shld b logical (to many flaws at times) n pls dont drag the story like the one that they did before.

Hi geethu...I am not saying that they should convert this show into a family drama. My whole point is the post holi arhi we had,(we had almost 15 minutes of pure arhi in most of the episodes), alienated viewers. Housewives like romance but they look for the story as well. Well Did we had any story post holi as such? No!
By romance i meant unnecessary rabba vey's and falling in each others hand acts. Thos are not sufficient to retain TRP. Story Story Story thats tha mantra IMO.
btw r u from kerala?😉

Irony of the post. I am asking them not to listen to us. If they decided not to listen to us then they are actually listening to the post 🤣. Brain twister😆

@bold 👏 well said
Sometimes, I do get serious...😉. Miss B was a nice idea gone wrong midway IMO. Instead of rectifying it, they scrapped the deal! We hated bad miss B. but I wish we would get more of good miss B.

Sree👏 I doff me hat to you for having gone where angels fear to tread and we are definitely not the right example for a TRP barometer. We bring in our cultural diversity we bring in our liberal interpretation we bring in our hormones we bring in our need to impose our values and ideas on how the story should go forward and quite frankly for the most part it would be only Arhi moments so yes the TRP has fallen because there were no other character sub plots to fall back on.

From what I gather every serial worth its salt has to have innumerable characters peppered with a 1001 interwoven plots and ideas.

Here once La left the raison detre of the serial slowly started folding up and the downward spiral started. It also has not helped that other characters popped in and out without rhyme or reason and no decent closure

I also feel the changing demography in the age of the viewing audience has in a great deal contributed to the dilution of the intensity of this story. Sometimes I do speculate whether the show would do extremely well if shifted to say Channel V or Pogo where the target audience is the TRP generator there unlike here. Yesterdays pre cap seemed very much on target to appeal to that segment😕

What might have worked KKG Shyam and Anjali slimey scenes like that oil massage scene, a shyam buaji scene A father reflecting/ confronting Shyam and his journey to recovery scenes, Anjali slowly getting suspicious some payal KKG discussions and please I don't want to start on that MU I am quite ashamed that despite having such a dedicated team as MR GH pointed out rather belligerently in his post that they actually could come up with the most illogical track that questioned her moral principles his intelligence and our patience and gullibility Now we have NK coming back and just when we thought things might be looking back rumors of her kidnap has surfaced. Last June I was hooked but now I am wondering when to start activating my own doomsday clock to start the count downto stop watching this show.

Frankly even with BS coming back I doubt the TRP will make a resilient comeback unless they end this MU bring back romance bring in suspenseful twists throw in the sort of family drama that appeal to the TRP clout viewers and go with their own flow just like they did the first 6 months of the serial when the principle of the story was being narrated and the cult of personality had still not started eroding the intrinsic nature of the very love story which gave root to the worship

P.S. Pleased as a punch this post is there as a reply to mine😃 Adds to the reading quotient

WEll this makes sense; I wanna add up to this. TRP also depends upon show promotion. Cv's have been very week on it since a long time. Can we believe that the Khushi suicide promo which have seen was the promo aired for this show after almost 45 days.!! I think they learnt their lesson here but the actual promotion blooper lies with the starplus. I feel we are some how neglected because of the lack of "Nayin soch". Cv's now have a very good chance to use the Khushi against Shyam in a powerful way and promote this as nayin soch aspect...They could actually make Shyam more obsessed physco and khushi finding ways to protect herself. it will also earn most of the house wifes audience...

You are correct!

Barun cannot be blamed at all for low TRP. He just took few days leave to finish his project and will come back. Useless comedy, irritating husband with 101 ways were all reason of low TRP. Bubbly track too was pretty irritating. Hope now the actual intense story will start. Leads are kept separated mentally for so long, this is also effecting TRP. WE want ARHI love track, romance, passion..TRP will break all records. NO more hate track.
