Very well said. I posted a message on Zee_News post on NK coming back last night telling her to pass on the message to CVs to resume the story telling they had set out for in June 2011, then everything including TRPs will be back on track. This random yo-yoing based on phan gurls requests will get them nowhere!

I agree - I have said in several posts that the CVs need to develop additional characters' plots in the show. While I love the romance, many married and family-dwelling people don't, and many people cannot watch it on their laptops or phones, like we can. They have to watch it in a family audience.

So CVs can take story ideas from us, but with the last minute story-lines, bloopers, inconsistencies (like not making sure BD had similar ring and string as Arnav does in his hands in today's epi) aren't doing much for TRPs. The fact that the show is shot only 2-3 days before its shown really makes it an edge-of-the-seat storyline.

Did I read somewhere that due to some reason (perhaps Barun's most misunderstood interview for his movie PH) the ILU episode was shown on Tuesday, as opposed to Wednesday. Talk about living on the edge. If the cast is working 12 hours, the crew, CVs and producers must be working 16 hours a day !!!!

Ditto !
Barun is NOT responsible for the TRP. It started sliding south after Diwali and never quite gained lost ground. When it did, it was shaky and temporary.
IF has been complaining for months and months. There has been posts dissecting and analyzing the show and where it is heading and how to prevent it.
Were THEY listening ?? NOO. This was inevitable. We can only hope it can recover fast and CV's and PH start using their brains.

I am so glad you made this post - to me it makes PERFECT sense. I remember in previous interviews with different CV's that their plot lines change very quickly and this forum is apart of that reason because its virtually the only place to give feedback to the show. But what they forget - and I guess some of us do too - is that the majority of us are not in India and most of us don't contribute to the TRPs. Whether its because of age (thus limited access to tv), online viewing only, etc. We're not the majority of the TRP audience. And as such, our ideas/objections/complaints/praises for the show, while we think may benefit the show, may actually do harm because in the end, TRPs decide whether the show stays alive or not.

Honestly, I just like to go with the flow of the story. I didn't mind the forced marriage track, I didn't mind the hatred track - I think because Sarun are such great actors, they brought out the characters feelings quite well and it was still enjoyable for me.

The CVs set out to try for a unique story and I think they were on the right track - they can still get back to it - if they just stick with their original ideas. The show didn't become popular from all of our opinions (not that I'm saying its wrong to have them - I just hope CVs aren't really always listening) but from their original plot line, the original promos, etc. That was all them, and I think if they can figure out a way back to that, all will be well.

I for one think its still salvageable granted they stop all the abrupt story line endings and switching of plots.

And, as others have said, quick plot changes makes everyone - cast & crew - work harder and results in sloppy work. Which ends up affecting the audience/TRPs too. I wish they would just calm down and pace themselves without dragging out one plot and then making it up by quickening the pace of the next.

I agree with u to an extend. The storyline should be moved rather than too many rabba ves, n flashbacks. wat i noticed las week is 10 mins flashback, 10 weeping khushi ;(.. N it continued for the whole week. Khushi has every reason to cry.. Bt it continued whole week which sounded boring. But this week the story gained momentum i hope it will bring some change in the trps. Nw my disagreement.. I will never want this shw to b smthg that convince middle aged ladies.. Wel if u culd notice BV's trp went high with the entry of a new guy who is supposed to b the female lead's luv interest. So cant say old ladies hate romance.;) I think the PH should move the story which shld b logical (to many flaws at times) n pls dont drag the story like the one that they did before.

I do enjoy the fact that the CV's are taking into consideration the online community since its SO huge!

However they did introduce random characters to serve a certain purpose however when we didn't see the purpose of the character being served we became irritated.

I mean NK's character would have helped the story move along in a different direction by possibly giving khushi some outside support, but that never happened and he just up and left.
Bubblys characters job was supposedly to bring Arnav and Khushi together but the audience never saw that happening so we became annoyed because she wasn't helping the story moving forward so what the point of her being there...
And now theres mamis brother hes still new so we still have to see his purpose of being on the show.

I mean if the CVs show us some progress in the story with the new characters we will whole heartedly accept them, but not if they are just there doing nothing and creating an external story, which honestly none of the viewers really care about.

Im not saying we need more romantic scenes, personally Im quite content with the show without those scenes occasionally is fine. The story really is everything in a show, this is the first indian serial Im watching and I really hope when they start a story line they actually follow through with it and not stop it dead in the middle, and start a new one randomly.

Well, what im trying to say is that I agree with you when you say there needs to be a consistent story.

But maybe the trp ratings need to begin to consider this online community, and the popularity of the show on here! :)

what you said very true
The Indian audience watching the show wants the drama to be element in the show following romance with a good storyline. Some where trying to show the romance the drama went missing since LA's departure..than the Hate Marriage track was supposed to be their master stroke as every mom/woman/teen wanted to see how Khushi fights for her marriage and win Arnav's love back but they destroyed that with OTT comedy..
Hate to say this still the majority of the TV audience still likes a Crying Bahu who is taunted by her MIL every other day.. who is shown Strong at times and do lot of Poojas..they gain lot of sympathy..Khushi indeed is very strong even more strong than any other Bahu but the Crying factor went missing some where..which could be brought back with her talks with Devi Maiya, her father,Payal etc..
The reason for which the extras are brought in for is still unknown..
NK,Bubbly,Masala Mama three new characters they introduced but they were not connected to the show properly they just randomly come and go..Even the secondary characters are not used properly be it Nani,Anjali,Akash,Payal the whole Gupta Family
We want to Rabba Ves heck we need Rabba Ves but with a good storyline
