Keeping Mum!

Arnav and Khushi - Khushi and Arnav -

Just when Khushi thought that all the doors closed on her in search of Arnav, Devi Maiyya opened up a new door for her...

Today saw the close game of search and proof... today saw Khushi's impulsiveness lead her into an unknown territory...

Khushi goes to give the prashad to Shyam when the chunri.. scarf from the pooja thali falls on floor. close to Shyam's feet.. Anjali and Khushi both rush to pick it from the floor, but Shyam asks Anjali to hold off.. Khushi grabs the chunri from the floor but as she does, her eyes catch the sight of blood stains on Shyam's shoes... Thinking wheels start churning through Khushi's mind..She gets up.. looks at Shyam with unsettled gaze.. Shyam looks at her trying to fathom what's on her mind... just then his phone goes off.. Khushi ends up not giving prashad to Shyam... She looks at Devi Maiyya's chunri.. and her mind takes swirls deep down the think tank... Shyam moves away to answer his phone. Anjali asks Khushi with a very happy smile, "Khushi ji, how are these?" showing her cute pink baby socks... Khushi unable to reciprocate her joy, answers in a half enthusiastic tone, "These are very nice, Di! I will be back!" and she takes leave...

NK and Aakash have cute exchange of information.. NK tells Aakash about his date and accepts Aakash's advise.

Khushi... paces by poolside.. her mind restless.. deep in her thoughts.. trying to solve the puzzle of what she just witnessed...she wonders if it was blood on his shoe.."But.. it does not seem like Shyam ji is hurt anywhere.. Why do I feel like this all is related somewhere .. somehow... to Arnav ji?... " Khuhsi's eye catches the sight of Devi Maiyya's chunri..."I asked for help to Devi Maiyya... Is it possible that she pointed me in that specific direction? ... But..Can Shyam ji do this?.. " Khushi wonders. It always has bothered me that Khushi has trouble believing the depths of badness Shyam can reach.. she always gives him benefit of doubt...Not this time, Khushi! Khushi starts pacing restlessly again, "What should I do now? How would I know if that's blood.." all of a sudden something dawns upon Khushi.. she stops in her track. Her eyes go wide.. her jaw drops open.. and she rushes in excitedly...She pulls the closet door open... takes out her keepsake box and pulls out a small diary.. quickly calls someone on her phone..

As soon as Shyam leaves for lunch, Khushi sneaks in his room. Now, Khushi that is quite dangerous... did you plan to give me a heart attack? Also, these people in RM, they never lock their rooms... so trustworthy of each other... In the room upstairs, Khushi spots Shyam's shoes in his closet. Making sure no one is around, she pulls the closet door open. Pulls out one pair of shoes after another.. finally finds the one with blood dried on top. She quickly proceeds .. On the way to dining table, Shyam gets down the stairs..when he realizes that he forgot to bring his phone with him. He speculates going back upstairs to get his phone when Anjali calls for him again and he abandons the thought... Khushi obtains a sample on an ear bud from the stain on shoe.

Just then Shyam's phone goes off breaking Khuhsi's dazed state. Khushi quickly picks up the sample in the plastic bag.. and places the shoes back in the closet. Shyam hears to telephone.. he turns around and heads back up stairs.. Khushi hurries up.. As she comes dashing out of Shyam's room, she runs straight into Shyam! Surprised, Shyam asks, "Khushi ji?" Khushi all dishelved.. luckily the phone rings again distracting Shyam. Khushi grabs this opportunity to be aggressive and says in a firm voice, "What?.. Your phone is ringing.. go and get it!" She tries to leave.. but it's Shyam she is dealing with.. he calls for her, "Khushi ji!" Khushi stops in her track...he walks authoritatively towards her and in a demanding voice asks, "Tell me the truth, Khushi ji! What were you doing in my room?... And why did you become so nervous as soon as you saw me?" Shyam asks all the right questions. Khushi should have prepared herself for these.. but, it's Khushi.. As Arnav says, her plans are never quite sound..Somehow Khushi collects herself, takes a deep breath and turns to Shyam with a determination... looks him in the eye and says, "I thought you understood by now.. that .. I do not like being around you at all!" She leaves Shyam behind. Shyam goes inside and answers the phone.. his eyes take a close look at the room.. his eyes change and his face surprised.. worried... he reaches the closet.. and closes the door...

Khushi at the lab.. confirms that the sample was blood indeed... she asks them to find out the blood group... After a long wait, she comes to know, it is O positive. Back home, she finds Anjali in the kitchen fixing milk for herself. Khushi says why did she not ask for help from someone else.. to which Anjali responds by saying that Khushi is talking like Arnav and Shyam now! I loved that comment from Anjali! I do not care about Shyam - he is phony.. his concerns are not real; but to say that her sis-in-law is exactly reciprocating her bro- none other than the mighty ASR's concerns.. Oh, Khushi, you made me so proud! Khushi for once, acts very calculative.. conducts a conversation completely for her own purpose... "Di, is the baby alright?" "Yes, dear, why do you ask that?" "No, I heard that sometimes..if the parents' blood groups do not match.. there could be problems.." "What's the matter, Khushi ji? Why are you asking me all this? " "No, I heard there could be problems.." " Well, such problems only arise when mom is negative and baby is positive.." Khushi finally asks the most important question, "What is your blood group?" "AB positive.." "Jijaji?" "AB poistive... That's why, no problem with the baby.." Now Khushi plays dumb.."Then Arnav ji must be AB positive too.. since he is your brother.." Anjali corrects her.."No, it's not like that.. he is O negative!" Anjali's words hammer on Khushi's head! Her face immediately changes.. worries surface.. Anjali asks her, "What's the matter?" Khushi pretends that everything is OK. You take care now and drink your milk before it cools down!" Anjali affectionately says, "See, didn't I say that you are becoming like Chhotey and your Jijaji.. now!"

Khushi keeps speculating..." Arnav is O negative.. the blood on Shyam's shoe was O negative too.. does that mean...? No, No, how can Shyam ji.. . " Gradually Khushi's mind recollects all the mean things Shyam said in Arnav's abscence... Iniially forcing her to get the papers signed by Arnav.. then showing up in their bathroom.. saying that he is filling up the void left by Arnav.. teasing her why she needs the phone.. does she even expect Arnav to call her!.. Khushi concludes that Shyam is the master mind behind all of this...

Khushi is Khushi... Impulsively she enters the room and says to the person with their back in front of her, "I know everything! It's you who is behind all of this! And I know that you took the papers... You kidnapped Arnav ji! And don't even think that you will be saved.. because, there is blood on your shoes.. and I have the proof! So, don't you dare..." Khushi grabs the guy.. expecting Shyam, by shoulder. The guy turns around.. Khushi's eyes wide.. face pale.. shocked. she looks at NK..who is equally shocked... Khushi immediately leaves the room..

Khushi paces by poolside.. regrets.."I can't believe that told Nanhe ji everything!" A hand rests on her shoulder.. it is Nk.. asks, 'What was that Khushi ji? Tell me!" "What were you doing in Shyam ji's room?' "I went to borrow this outfit!" But.. wait a minute! That's not the point! All that you said about Nannav... is that the truth? I heard everything you said!... How is that possible?" Khushi immediately tries to rectify, 'Yes, that's what I am saying too.." Straight forward, NK says to Khsuhi, 'Khushi ji! I have known you for some time now. I know that whatever you do, you do well! But.. one thing you cannot do is that you cannot lie! .. Khushi ji.. You said something about Nannav's kidnapping.. what is all that about?" Khushi tries to make excuses... Nk persists... Khushi unable to meet the eye of NK.. . He finally says, "Don't change the topic!.. What has happened to Nannav?.. Where is he? .. tell me the truth,.. otherwise.. right now I will..." Khushi starts talking, "I am telling you the truth!.. Arnav ji has been kidnapped!" NK is shocked! Khushi says that Shyam ji is behind all of this.. NK firmly disagrees.. "No way! Jijaji.. impossible! He is such a good guy!" "No, he is not a good guy!" Khushi disputes, "He is the worse! I know why he is doing this!" Then she tells NK all about the will papers.. how Shyam asked her to get those papers signed by Arnav.. how she got him to sign the papers and then how she tried to hide those..NK asks a valid question, "Why did you do all of this for him? Why did you get Nannav's signs.. why?" Khushi goes to say something then stops.. says, "That's not important.. I was helpless.. What is important is that I did not give those papers to Shyam... but somehow he got hold of those papers.." Then Khushi narrates all to NK.. how she followed Shyam...then how she met with Arnav.. how an attempt on her and Mami's life was made.. then those two repeated warnings on phone..she also tells him all about the blood on Shyam's shoes... Suddenly she notices NK's shoes.."These shoes.." "I borrowed those from Jijaji, "says NK. Khushi tells him that those shoes have blood stains. NK takes off the shoe.. Khushi tells NK that the blood group of the bloodstain and Arnav match.." NK sits Khushi down.. calms her down and says that he will accept everything she says but he cannot accept that Shyam is the person behind all of this! Khushi angrily says that she knows that Shyam is a deceptive person. he has been all along... she knows him well ! NK asks her how can she be so sure in accusing him. Khushi just asks him to accept what she says... Then she says to him, "You said yourself that I cannot lie! Then trust me.. I am telling you the truth! You do not believe me because you do not know your brother-in-law the way I do.. You still feel that I am lying then.." "No Khushi ji, it is not like this,.." Then Khushi says, "Then do one thing.." and starts talking to NK.. Khushi I am not sure that you should have blurted everything out by poolside.. to NK... just like that.. you do not even know if you can trust him to that level! I sure hope it does not backfire! First you need to learn to recognize your enemies and friends clearly...

Untold Emotions:



The contrast that struck me today was immense.. Khushi has difficult time even thinking that Shyam can do more harm than she thinks..she is easily swayed to give him benefit of doubt. Khushi impulsively enters Shyam's room and blurts out everything without even confirming who she is talking to.. and what if it was really Shyam? Did she forget that Arnav was still under his hold and could be killed at her haste..? How many times do I have to tell Khushi to not alert her enemy? Shyam is already one step ahead in the game .. on top if Khushi tells him all about her thinking... he can plan better.. something Khushi lacks big time! Arnav is right, Khushi does not make perfect plans! Khushi easily trusts Shyam.. easily trusts NK.. but Khushi did not trust the person she should have.. she never attempted telling the truth to Arnav on so many occasions... My heart cried today for Arnav... even if ruthless at times, Arnav has been always there for Khushi in her difficult times... Khushi should have tried to trust Arnav with all these details she provided to Nk now..

Luckily. chances are that NK is a good guy and will keep her secrets, but how can Khushi just go and trust him with everything? How come she finds it important to convince NK of Shyam's bad personality but not to Arnav? Well, when danger surrounds one, one should trust no one.. eye everyone as if they are enemy before one passes them the test of friendship!

Khushi needs to learn to be not hasty.. not impulsive.. call for help when necessary.. she did not seek Mami out today..someone who has already proven to be her ally and protector..

Khushi you almost gave me a heart attack today! I sure hope that NK turns out to be a better person. I wish, you had included Payal and Aakash.. but you do not stop to amaze me... learn to recognize people around you better Khushi. my heart goes out to you and Arnav.. No wonder he is sooo worried about you so far..away from you...Keeping mum when necessary and not keeping mum when unnecessary is a skill Khushi needs to master..appropriate circumstances are necessary to reveal the truth..

Khushi, you did impress me with your detective work but then failed miserably when it came to executing the plan.. Wait a minute.. looks like you just never had a plan!.. alas...
It bothered me immensely to have such a sensitive conversation by poolside.. where we have seen that everyone can walk in and also listen to while walking by...My heart was racing and was stuck in my throat all that time!

Hey Lovely, great post.. I liked the pace of yesterday's episode.. Things are moving along very nicely.. Trust Khushi to blurt things out to people.. :) But thank God it was only NK who heard her accusations.. I'm glad she told him everything.. She badly needs a friend, someone who will support her.. I hope NK will be that pillar for her.. :)
