I will have to disagree with you

What more CAN he say about the show? As we all know, the script is probably written a few days before shooting, so no one really knows where the storyline is going! So how can he comment on it? Plus he's not allowed to talk about the storyline, even if he does know!

I think us fans have a pretty good insight into what happens behind the scenes, especially due to SBS/SBB segments so is it really necessary to bring up the same things over and over again?

Lets not forget that this was just a short interview to clear up rumours, it wasn't a whole "Barun is here for an hour" type interview. He came to talk about his future career plans e.t.c as he had already done a generic interview just a month ago!

Even still, in the interview he answered fan's questions- as many as he could in the limited time that he had. Fan's asked him about him cooking and his wife's dishes e.t.c.

But seriously guys, how much can he talk about IPK???

the interview was about his future plans..not ASR!! look at it from this point of view n the interview is justifiable! ofc any1 would be excited, debut film, bollywoood..wouldn't u? and noreeen asked questions related to his movie lie what's the character n release date etc and like 1 question regarding IPK..how long is he gone for n if he's coming back after 4 weeks! that is it!

and its 28 days

Barun said wat he had to clear... N dat everyone knws. He wil b back in d show. He is in d middle of shooting, not at his home to give a long intvw pacifying all. NK was asking more about his movie, not abt IPK. Then about visiting London... He again was honest. 'ya..sure' was a better lie anyday. Bt, he was honest. He knws, he wil b busy with IPK n film.. Bt, later wen he gets time, he might come as his movie promotion requires it... See, this guy had just 1 day off for his marriage. N resumd shooting 4 BHPH. Does dat mean, he didnt want time for his personal life. Bt his career needs keep him busy. Now, you can agree or disagree... If anyone is hell bent on proving one guilty, then so be it.. We Barun Fans simply dont care.

Why do I get the feeling that Barun was kind of miffed/bored with the current IPKKND story track and SP's sponsored Sanaya's visit to London - so he is going after greener areas (e.g. movie etc.).

For the last couple of months - Barun has been in many news interviews - creating buzz - which has increased his ranking to #1 too. Plus in the latest NK show - Barun said he will visit London to promote the movie which is not even made yet vs. IPKKND which gave him all his awards. SAD to see this from Barun -- who appears selfish -- even in SPA 2012 awards - he never thanked his IPKKND team and Sanaya -- and I have sensed Sanaya has helped him be a good actor - compared to his first scenes in IPKKND.

He wants to perhaps show Star Plus and 4Lions that he has all this fan following and his absence can hurt IPKKND and its trps and show he is indispensable. He probably thinks SP will now sponsor his London trip and 4Lions will probably pay him more when he re-signs the contract for 1 more year perhaps. It has not been professional of Barun to let fans find out through spoilers that he is gone for 11, then 40 then now 28 days!!!

Even though I don't want to compare - Sanaya has been an excellent steady consistent actress - who has never pulled any such gimmicks - a true professional!

All said - - Sanaya Irani is a real trooper - KUDOS to you and hope Barun gets over his excitement of landing a movie and remains grounded and professional!

Still love Sanaya, Barun and IPKKND and will keep watching it.

I AGREE THE INTERVIEW WAS HIGHLY DISSAPOINTING AR FIRST I THOUGHT HE MUST BE TIRED

I started viewing this serial for the character ASR that was enacted by a good actor. Today's interview taught me something more, if the storyline is good view it.

I decided that irrespective who the lead is - I will view the serial until the day it is aired.

I agree he was vague about returning to IPKKND but as an ardent Barun/ASR fan I want to give him the benefit of doubt, may be PH is keeping it secret. But as for talking about his movie, Noureen was asking him more about his movie than IPKKND

Hmmm you know what? I actually did find him a bit detached and cold today but maybe because he is over worked. I have seen him talking in this manner in previous interviews (there was one in which he looked super tired and super miffed, a little cranky and actually was less than friendly with the interviewer)

Judging from all the interviews I ve seen of him and I ve seen all of them many times (Im a closet BISS fan you see) he doesnt come off as a scheming, self obsessed guy. He's actually pretty honest because wehn he's cranky he shows it. When he's in a goofy mood he shows that too. When he's annoyed or delighted or embarassed you can tell it in a second. He never covers anything up. He's unable to cover things up.

I dont knw if this is a good thing or a bad thing when it come to his carreer especially now he's venturing in to B world and you need to be thick skinned and hell of a lot pretencious with a fake smile plastred on your face at all times to go anywhere in this field.

Maybe he's changing. You nevr know. But one thing is for sure. He was a little cranky and he showed it today. So Barun is still Barun

So im going to go with him being tired and wasn't overly particular about what he was saying.

I guess he'll need to be more careful next time especially now that he's in a dangorous waters and he should thread on his popularity with more sensitivity.
