Khushi once again fails to understand the cunningness of shyam in her desperation

Shyam is not the one who gives it a easy go'quickly changes the papers'khushi gets the signatures only to use it as a bait for shyam' the smart shyam decides to show the extent he can go' he never had intentions of telling the truth to arnav in the first place'why he will do the mistake of loosing the trump card.'he may create compromised situation. he has two trump cards here'before it was anjali , now arnav and anjali'plays from both the sides'

Whilst I eagerly await all the fabulous analysis from the rest of our Redux regulars, let me just share what I loved about today's episode!

I knew it would be an intense episode, but I wasn't expecting it to be gracefully intense! The CVs did great in allowing for actions to speak louder than words, resulting in quite a calm level of intensity. The pacing of it was also incredible and they did it without spoiling the flow of the entire episode; probably due to the fact that the focus was kept on four of the main players - Shyam, Anjali, Khushi and Arnav. And boy am I glad they left out all the riff raff, because it definitely left us with a more sharp and cutting episode.

Okay, so initially, I was a bit weary about Khushi, simply because of some of the comments people were making with regards to how she handled the papers and her way of getting Arnav to sign them. But now having watched it, I can honestly say that I was worried over nothing! I think given the circumstances, her way of dealing with both Shyam and Arnav was just superb, and so in line with her character! Bar the fact that we were assured in true Khushi fashion that she does indeed have a brain and has every intention of using it, the one thing that I really liked about this sequence was her ability to use her 'dimaag' alongside her 'heart'. In today's episode, we saw her striking a balance between the two! After all, why should it have to be one or the other!? She made this clear in an effort to challenge Shyam; and he definitely felt threatened by it, because it forced him to take further action!

It's also another facet of character which clearly sets her apart from Arnav, the fact that she's able to handle and accept the various shades of grey, both emotionally and intellectually; whereas Arnav is still very much stuck between black and white, unable to strike a balance between the two. And part of that reason is to do with his inability to share his pain, the pain of his past, and his present self - a piece of information which was beautifully passed on from Anjali to Khushi. Loved Daljeet in today's episode; she portrays sisterly affection really well!

It was interesting to note that even though she understands her Chote really well and can sense his pain, it is Khushi who undergoes the realisation of just how deep his pain runs. And rather than avoid this pain, she wishes for him to confront in, wanting for him to heal whereas, his family have obviously gone for the former approach, which is to avoid dealing with it, lest his pain increases even more. The difference is in approach, between being passive and active, and hence the battle between mind and heart. I guess this is how Khushi will end up treating Arnav, through her ability to strike a balance, and by adopting the principles of both families, not in isolation of each other, but in complete harmony.

Rather than choose between Arnav and his family, she's treading carefully so as to protect them both, for when she does reach out to him, she will do so using both her mind and heart. For this reason, I was able to accept her decision to seek out Shyam to help clear the misunderstanding, for she too needs witness the full reality of his identity and for that it is important she gets to the crux of the matter - which is Shyam himself. Remember, there's still a part of him which is still unknown to both Khushi and her family; except her Babuji, who has already been exposed to his evil ways.

Today we also got to see just how selfless Khushi is. Ever since she found out the reasons behinds Arnav's hatred, she's determined to prove herself, for her sake and for his. Her anger towards him would be completely justified, yet, it is her love for him which compels her to lay a protective hand over him. In the same way his love compels him to protect her! But again, we see a difference in approach. Khushi seeks to protect him despite his lack of faith in her, whereas he turns to protect her, all the while doubting her intentions. I must say, there was a very clever use of flashbacks today, because it enabled us to see Khushi the way he sees her; the Khushi who is sincere, playful yet also pretentious. Which side of Khushi should he believe? His vision of Khushi is still fragmented, as is her vision of him. But they're both are going to have to work at it together in order to complete each other. And it's going to be damn beautiful when it happens!

I'm going to end with the final 'rabba ve' moment, uff, what brilliance in acting, from both Sanaya and Barun! Khushi's heartbreak, her determination, her resounding faith, her restlessness and her love were all evident today in that final moment. And she unmasked all those emotions without any fear or deliberation! In that same moment we witnessed a series of conflicting emotions in Arnav, his fear, his anguish, his pain, his frustrations, his helplessness and his desperation. He so desperately wanted to reach out for her, but his inner turmoil prevents him from doing so. His conflicting state was clearly reflected in his going back and forth when facing Khushi. He is one confused soul, and Barun captured this confusion exceptionally well! The moment he goes to face Khushi, you can see how hard he tries to mask whatever feelings he has, unlike Khushi, who doesn't hesitate to unmask herself. It's this emotional side of him he's not yet willing to share, which then forces him to put on his ASR mask - loved it, every time he hardened his face, it was clear he wanted to keep hidden, and he was making every damn effort to make sure Khushi doesn't see this side of him. And this is where I agree with you completely Anna, he'll need to confront his own demons and forgive himself, before he can repent and seek Khushi's forgiveness.

It was so nice to see a hopeful Arnav in that split moment, almost as if he's waiting for someone to reach out for him. He longs for that someone to hold onto him. Of course that person is none other than Khushi. But it also highlights how his family have got it wrong. It seems they haven't quite grasped what he needs the most. When Anjali points out that he chooses to isolate himself even on such a day, it is Khushi who differentiates between what he wants and what he needs. Khushi finds it difficult to comprehend how he could be left alone when it is clear he needs someone by him, to comfort him, to share his pain and sorrows. Ultimately, it is his insecurities which makes him such a complex character.

And can I just say, Arnav's kidnapping was executed so well! They kept it reel real - without it being filmy or overly dramatic. All in all, a beautifully intense episode, one that the IPK team can be really proud of, great going guys!
