OK - now we're talking!

Yes, you're back!! And I welcome you with open arms! This episode was SPECTACULAR from beginning to end - and for that reason, I'm willing to overlook the fiasco of the previous episode. Interesting how certain loopholes are headed towards closure by way of returning to their original roots - Bravo!

Anna and Doods, absolutely LOVED your take on this episode!

There's not much for me to say as Tanthya, Doods, Sea.Nymph (aka Nia.D?) and all the other regulars at IP Redux have already nailed each and every point with their keen analysis and eye for detail; kudos to you all, it definitely provided much food for thought and was an absolute pleasure to read.

But since I already made the intention of posting, I will simply express my delight at having watched such a fabulous episode!

Both Sanaya and Barun rocked this episode - but I was absolutely blown away by Sanaya's performance and her display of emotions. She was so expressive with her eyes, especially during the mid-road confrontation. And her bubbly veneer, rather than coming across as crass and juvenile, was depicted with utmost intensity. Today, her carefree attitude and lively persona held a great deal of significance, and was not executed just for the sole purpose of annoying Arnav.

And how captivating was the rooftop scene!? It completely erased all my memories of the previous scenes when Khushi was hell bent on jumping off the building. Not only was it beautifully shot, but Sanaya did full justice to her role as Khushi, the tears she shed in isolation were heartbreaking – it felt as if she was sharing all her pain with the audience, and only the audience. And I think Doods said it really well, the fact that her show of happiness is a way of closing herself off from Arnav. That fact that she's chosen to shut down any emotions of pain, especially in front of Arnav, speaks volumes about her current relationship with Arnav. And it is this barrier which will piss Arnav off, lol and how I enjoy watching an aggravated Arnav. It's clear that her silence frustrates him, as does her constant chatter!

It was great how she brought this to Garima's attention, because not only does it highlight his growing frustrations, but also the fact that he's losing control of the very relationship he once held reign of. The fact that she refuses to open up her innermost feelings to him means the ball is in her court, and ultimately his 6^th month marriage with Khushi is not only a farce but also devoid of the real Khushi. His frustrations stem from his inability to understand Khushi, and a part of him knows this, which is why he questions "Kis mitti se bani hein yein".

Much kudos to the CVs/writers for giving such intense filled dialogues; each and every one of them was significant, and laden with emotions. And of course, it was the delivery of dialogue which created most impact, and how I loved it! The current tandem between Arnav and Khushi is phenomenal. Dialogues which one normally hopes to hear from our distraught heroines were actually voiced out loud by Khushi and with full effect! Her "ghatiya soch" line really hit home where it hurt, and rightfully so! And the guilt/pain/confusion/trepidation which was made visible for a split second in Arnav's eyes made it even more epic. In his case, the truth is going to hurt, especially when it comes back to bite him in the a**!

And what made the episode that extra bit special was the way in which both Arnav and Khushi portrayed their emotions. It really seemed as if they had returned to their former selves, a pair of confused souls growing in love and affection, prior to the misunderstanding. In that respect, this episode seemed like a continuation of the episode when the MU first started. What should have been said, was said now, and that's the beauty of this revelation. I so felt Arnav's love and desperation when he uttered "mujhe batana zaroori nahi samjha" – in that moment, it seemed as if he was clinging onto his love, which circumstances prevented him from doing when the MU started. And I guess a lot of that is to do with the conflicting relationship between heart and mind, which again, Doods has wonderfully analysed!
