@ red:

1. moderation is always the key swinging between the extremes never has the spot on effect in its entirety unless every thing is perfect to the T and IPKKND fell into the trap.

2. The journey always makes the destination more memorable but on the soap assembly line it is quantity over quality. Difficult to achieve quality after the initial phase...as profit economics only allows it till the product differentiation is created in the mind of the consumer and not beyond.

Go watch the episode where he laughs for the first time... I noticed them there for the first time, there are few more close up scenes like the ones where he lost his voice where they were like in your face (which is why I hated those scenes lol!)

Just see the number of pages that the hangout runs to within an hour of opening, and you get a pretty good idea 😛

sunshine: it was a pretty good epi --- esp by recent standards, but it had the potential to be great - hence the regret. we've all waited so long for the unraveling and it felt like it didn't get the focus and time it needed.

On the daily soap limitations: i'm sure you're right, but i don't watch any other and again it feels like this show has the raw material (cast and writers!) to achieve quality more consistently. it must be the dreamer in me. 😍
