It would be great to see him back! Arshad may be good in directing single scenes and episodes but I am not sure how he can handle an entire track which so far was below average. Yes, he definitely can not help the script but there are certainly things that directors can incorporate with in the given script and bring sense and intensity into the characters. Right now, one major change observed is lack of any monologues or introspection.
We all remember that famous picture on LM's FB where he was directing Barun looking at his palm after the guest house scene. Imagine all that track w/o any of ASR's that day's flashbacks and his silent suffering in his bed room. How much intensity did it add to the whole guest house track that even today we refer to it as one of the the gold standard for IPK! Thats the magic a director can weave .. he is the one who makes us tour the inner turmoils of the character! Where are those today? What does Arnav think after his MU of Khushi? Does he think he is wrong as we see him holding her hand and sleeping? Yes we can use our brains and try to understand whats going on in their heads but why should we assume? Can they not show?
I seriously want LM back for what ever he was/ was not doing!!
