Wonderful analysis, as usual, ladies.👏
Well, we are firmly on our Route to Resolution, no doubt of that.
First, Arnav realizes what kind of dreams of a fairytale wedding Khushi had and how he brutally shattered them. He regrets it from the bottom of his pure heart, but not for long as the ugly reason rears its head again and he steels himself, hating her as well as himself, for his helpless and hopeless love for her, reassuring himself that what he did was right and therefore justifiable, no matter what the cost.
And, no matter what kind of tortured state his mind may be in, ASR is intrinsically an honest, straightforward, fearless, fair, upright and just man, who will do what he feels and knows to be right, whatever what the place and circumstances. He used his influence on the groom in brute effect to teach him some valuable lessons on handling family pressure and supporting your wife. We realize that subconsciously, Arnav strongly believes in all this and in the importance and responsibilities of marriage. So, its no wonder that Khushi overhearing all this thinks about their own rocky and unstable relationship, thinks him to be uncomprehendible, an enigma too big for her.
Then, Arnav get a chance to hear what kind of dreams Khushi had about her husband, that is , him, and how diametrically opposed his behavior is towards her in comparision to those fairytale, romantic notions of hers. Once again, inspite of his bitterness for her, he feels guilty of being so harsh on her, for his cruelty on her. He, who was teaching others on supporting your wife, has never done so for his own. Not surprisingly enough, her words come back to haunt him, and shake his conscious.
Lets see how the cvs take us on this painful Route to Resolution. IMO, it would run this kind of course:
