Hi All ,😊

Two oars rowing the boat of love, boat of life but in opposite direction !! each oar is aware of the actions of the other oar but the mist of confusion keeps them from realizing that they are heading in the opposite direction and that they would reach their objective sooner if they rowed in tandem ..The Oars know that they belong to the boat called love and that each will b incomplete without the other and yet and YET !! ...

The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we're afraid. We fear we will not find love, and when we find it we fear we'll lose it. We fear that if we do not have love we will be unhappy.
~Richard Bach

A young man , who grew up overnight, A young man on whom fate threw the sharpest stones savaging his soul , a young man who appeared to lose faith in all relations , A young Man who grew the hardest outer shell and kept the prying eyes from peeking into his soft, sensitive inner core ... A young man with a strong sense of responsibilities , duty and a man imbued with a deep respect for relationship n on the sanctity of marriage vows , A iron hearted man who is unsparing of detractors , who will without a thought squash any obstacles to secure the happiness of his loved one, A deeply sensitive and compassionate man who willfully appears callous and stony hearted , A amoral go getter !!,A cynic , A man who lives and dies for his near & dear ones ... Such is the make up of Arnav Singh Raizada ...A man who has spent years in perfecting the art of deception, of masking his finest feelings that he himself has begun to believe his illusion!!

Doing what's right is no guarantee against misfortune. ~William McFee

A righteous belle with a well developed sense of right and wrong , A sunshine who beams through the pitch black night and dispels the gloom with an infectious smile , A incurable optimist and a inveterate dreamer , A sensible Madonna who manages to reach into the bleakest heart and warm it with her unconditional affection & warmth , A colleen who lives for her family , its happiness sometimes at the expense of her happiness !! A noble girl who will bear the cross without a sigh or whisper of pain if that ensure the happiness of others .The favoured child of Goddess who believes in doing the greatest good for the greatest number !! She is the the angel named Khushi Kumari Gupta !! ..

By all logic , never the twains should have met , never the twains should have formed a bond ..But They did, They connected and the two souls became one , Their purity fierce, intense and strong !!

Love is like a puzzle. When you're in love, all the pieces fit but when your heart gets broken, it takes a while to get everything back together. ~Author Unknown

But can such bonding go untested, Should not this bond be baptized..Fate decided to throw a curveball , caught in the whiplash of the curveball called mistrust , their bonding is floundering .. mistrust and trust engaged in a deadly duel , heart and mind waging war for supremacy and the sufferer is their loving soul which is writhing in agony, mutely crying out but the calls go unheeded !!

So we come today, to Gupta House , we the mute spectators as we see the two lonely hearts yearning for one another's love, acceptance but lost in the wilderness, searching for the elusive element , their path lit by their will, their desire to stay together as they traverse the rocky road , towards their union, towards truth, towards love !!

The Wedding celebration is on full swing with maama -Maami utilizing the given opportunity to the maximum extent to bring down the Girl's side .. A righteous and upright Khushi can not bear the injustice any longer and decides to take the bull by its horns, while on the other end Arnav has cornered the Bridegroom and is drilling some sense into him ...end result Maami -Maama decide to break the alliance due to the peptalk of Khushi while Ankur the Bridegroom , grows a spine and proceeds with the marriage without any hiccups and taking his relatives on board too...

A contrasting approach by the dil/dimag team [ Khushi & Arnav ] to the same situation.. A situation which impressively underscored that sometimes emotional response and decision will boomerang and it is the pragmatic mind which will resolve the problem ...we again saw the short sighted approach of Khushi, a emotional girl who directly addressed Maama and Maami , appealed to their better instincts and hoped for the best ...not for one second did it cross her mind that the root of the problem lay not with Maama & Maami but with the meek Bridegroom who stood by and allowed his wife to be reviled, taunted by his relatives.. Khushi might shush Maama n Maami with her sweetness but what about the times when other relatives of Ankur pass snide remarks , will she be appealing to them too ..In direct contrast, Arnav went to the root of the matter, he understood that the position of Preeto will always be on shaky grounds unless the spine of her hubby stiffens , Arnav did it by being merciless, direct ..he did not offer bribes nor did he offer any sops he stated a truth and drove home the point with his no nonsense attitude

A long time ago, Arnav Singh raizada had at that very house said that ' Yeh Duniya bahut hi paththar dil and harsh hotha ahi, and u have to brave the hardship, face the stone to achieve ur goals " today we saw how stonyhearted the society can be , when within a sec the Bridegroom side decided to call of the wedding, not for a second did they think of the girl who will be stigmatized for life, whose name will be sullied for no fault of her and all this for what, bec their fragile ego was dented !! today Khushi had first hand witness of that bedard zamana !! she saw how her innocuous speech of her's derailed her friends life .

Again Let me come to Arnav Singh raizada when Anjali started with her rewinding cycle, I had said that chotte will have the answers to Khushi's questions and Chotte will have to heal for Arnav to become whole.. today we are seeing the process beginning .. On that fateful day, Chotte stood by helpless, frustrated, terrified unable to stop the terrible events from running its course but today chotte has Arnav Singh Raizada by his side , A man who has seen the world, knows how it works ..Chotte takes the first step when he controls the issue from sliding any further by apparently catering to the Bridegroom's class , protects the girls life from ignominy by hardening the spine of her husband, Chotte failed on that day but Arnav succeeded today

This again was a interesting segment where Khushi's good intentions wreck the life of an innocent but she is saved by the timely intervention of her husband , A husband who prefers behind the screen moves to the open approach of Khushi and it will be this combination that will ultimately defeat Shyam !!

The Circle of Love ;

This inexplicably reminded me of Holi dance, Khushi dancing joyously in the middle, the bird of paradise , the enchanted hunter drawn towards her , going closer and closer, capturing her but then letting her go , to her freedom , ..On that day it lead to her confused confession, the words of which she did not understand...Today..he stands alone, A permanent thorn stuck on his throbbing heart, Again the bird of paradise dances in front of him but he no longer evinces a keenness to possess her ..but destiny will not allow it, he is again pushed into the circle and he like a homing pigeon makes his way towards her, to her side ..when he stumbles and is immediately supported by the bird whom he freed of his own free will... A sequence which shows that Khushi will not allow him to fall ...but as Thomas Moore puts it ..With what a deep devotedness of woe, Thinking of thee, still thee, till thought grew pain, And memory, like a drop that, night and day,Falls cold and ceaseless, wore my heart away! ..Arnav's mind immediately switches on to the image of this very bird in another man's arms , His heart convulses in heart ache, he leaves her stranded in that circle of love n walks away discarding her, her love and leaving her in a befuddled state !!...What was interesting was that this dance was witnessed by Garima and Buaji ..The twin deities who will guide Arnav and Khushi on their journey of love..

Khushi comes to the kitchen and is in time to overhear that this marriage happend bec of Arnav ..She is flabbergasted by this facet of him...and her mind has finally begun to flicker and she begins to realize that her hubby is a enigma , a prince and a beast ..she is determined to get to the bottom of the issue that has arisen between them..

Now we come to the second layer of this track,Khushi's realization ...The road to Khushi's realization was paved on the day of Holi , but that road is being swept and revisited for conscious realization to take place ...Khushi has begun to understand that there is more to Arnav Singh Raizada than money, arrogance and contempt , but her inexperience is preventing her from understanding him, She has begun to question her own judgement ..She is trying to find a chink that will provide a glimmer on what maketh this man ..Right now , she is groping along , hoping to find a clue forgetting the counsel given by Anjali ..But I am sure pretty son she will be on the track to finding Arnav !!

Ek Pal main inpe ithna Pyaa ... aur doosre pal main inse darr lagtha hai ...There she said it without appreciating the significance of it.. if she only paused to think over she would understand why she loves him and why she is scared of him ..She loves him bec he is her reflection , her mirror image, he is just, trustworthy, straightforward , her anchor, she is scared of him bec she knows that he can be unforgiving, remorseless, hates duplicity and lies . Khushi somewhere in the corner of her mind knows that she has done wrong by hiding facts from him and she is afraid of losing his affection when truth breaks out !! Khushi is afraid of his rejection ..

yeh Aise Kyun hai ??..This will be the question that will lead her to the truth ..I hope she begins in right earnest and does not take any detour !!

It is such a secret place, the land of tears. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Little Prince

Khushi is inside her room , thinking about the recent happening when Garima comes in for a nice heart to heart chat with her daughter, Garima begins to expound about the positive attributes of Arnav to Khushi, Khushi listens in silence , taking it in when she is thrown a unexpected googly, Garima hesitantly almost fearfully implies about the distance between the couple , seeks an assurance from Khushi.. Khushi immediately launches into consoling her mother..

The setting of this scene was quite interesting ..set in front of the mirror with Khushi removing her jewels ...Mirror reflection is sually construed to be the reflection of the soul ..and we see Khushi removing her jewels..jewels are usually associated with vanity ... I remember a scene an after marriage scene , where she has one on one chat with her mother !! the DM ...She angrily informs her Mother that she has failed in protecting her daughter Khushi's life and henceforth she does not need DM's help as she {Khushi} herself will find a way out of the maze but what happened ?? did she find herself out of the maze , far from it she is getting deeply entrenched in it with nary a clue on how to get out ...But today she begins to remove the jewels , her vanity is humbled for a moment after witnessing the scenes in the kitchen ..she is lost in the labyrinth when help comes in the form of her Mother !!

Garima , The person who will decode and who is decrypting Arnav comes to the aid of confused Khushi , She points out the simple fact that unlike Khushi, Arnav does not express much but just like Khushi his heart is pure too !! Shows to Khushi that Arnav has never bothered about status, class and would happily mingle with one and all ..Garima then leads the denuded Khushi to the seat of marital bliss, The bed to continue the discussion ...

For the color code lovers, the color Green is always associated with regeneration , life and balance ... Garima by taking Khushi in her bosom will be restoring the imbalance , giving back her life ...Note this point it happens when Khushi removes her vices and stands there vulnerable .. I also loved the simple fact that on Friday Buaji has a chat with Arnav about Khushi and today Garima has a chat with Khushi about Arnav, each ladies highlighting the attributes and good qualities of their partners ...each playing the role of pigeons who deliver the unspoken messages ...who knows in near future.. Arnav need not go to pigeon tree but the pigeons will make their abode with him..

The mother perhaps gives one of the wisest advice to Khushi when she says 'Farak hai tho tum dono ki jathane ki tarike main '...Khushi who has been bred on Fairy tale romance has not understood that love has many forms and is expressed in many different ways ..Today she is being taught by the same woman who taught her values that Arnav may not be the fairy tale prince who will sweep her off the feet but he will be the hunch back of Notre-dame , the swashbuckling Robin-hood, the dashing D'Artagnan , the angst ridden Edmond Dantes and the broken Erik ..Khushi listens in silence absorbing all this ..in return all Khushi has to do is open her heart and be receptive to him !!

When her Mother expresses her fears, Khushi hides her own troubling thoughts, her own confusion, her own misery and lives up to her name of bringing Happiness to her loved ones, Arnav who had walked in on this conversation listens to Khushi's unspoken desires, hopes , her cry of unhappiness in silence, guilt making him regretful, regret sending a sheen of tears as he listens to the girl whom he torments praises him, smiles for her mother and tries to assuage hr mother's fears

what I liked very much about this scene was that the door was kept ajar hinting at hope, optimism n faith & Arnav heads into the brightness towards his redemption, to emerge as a better man, and to be the 'Duniya ke sabse Achcha Pati '

May the hand of God always be upon u Lucky [ vasiraju]

Updated:-

Tant reality bites eh??? Yup, when I watched the last scene it reminded me of Elton John's Sacrifice - "Two hearts living in two separate worlds". But if Monday's episode reminded me of the difference between "Sand castle and House of Iron and Steel" then today's episode reminded me of Mothers ' both "Biological and Corn". I loved both the episodes and both have very distinct flavors throughout. Sorry Reduxians, I couldn't write yesterday, so today I will club both, at least will try to touch the main parts. Before I start, I should say loved your analysis Tant. It's TANTASTIC. 👏 👏 👏

As I mentioned here that this track is about Class v/s Heart and Arnav v/s Shyam because these two aspects were necessary when the tornado will strike in and it will, as it is definitely is at the door. "Darwaja" - that was mentioned by Groom's Mama and Maami yesterday right??? Yes, "Door". This "Darwaja" is the culprit of everything that is happening in the lives of Khushi and Arnav and will affect the lives of all in some time. When the groom's family entered Gupta House, Nandiniji said - "Madhumatiji ne apne Ghar ke darwaje khol diye". A doorway not only gives you the narrow view of the world but it allows one to enter your world. But to understand the bigger world one must pass through the doorway and then only one can realize that how crude and cruel this world is. When you let anyone enter into your world then it proves the heart that makes you and sometimes it's the weakness of yours that actually helps others to manipulate you. When Arnav and Anjali was thrown out of Sheeshmahal, then then they both have made a world for themselves where these two would be away from the reality and cruelty of the world. Did you ever think why Anjali didn't repair the photo frame for 12 years when it was broken??? Did you ever think why Shyam could enter Madhumatiji's house??? Did you ever realize why Arnav is aggressive yet balanced in his attributes??? Did you ever think why Naani fears that Arnav will walk on his father's footsteps??? Did you ever think why Arnav engages himself in gardening??? Did you ever think why Anjali binds herself with Pujas and her illusive world is filled with love??? Did you ever think why Anjali clings onto Shyam???

I donno but Monday's episode did give me a new perspective to look at all the characters and it reminded me of the play - "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams in the 1940s. The story of Amanda the Mother, Laura the crippled sister and Tom the brother who slaved to feed his family after their Father happily left them years ago. Yes, all these came to my mind when I watched Monday's episode of "Glass v/s Steel". This was the message yesterday and it defined relationships, Arnav, Shyam, Sand castle and house of iron and steel. Everything and it was a perfect episode in every sense.

Why Sand castle when glass was mentioned yesterday??? Because Glass is a piece of nature and the main ingredients to produce glass is "Sand". Glass is transparent, it's water proof and breaks easily, it allows light to pass through it and it's not flexible and not durable. Isn't it??? The glasses are a symbol of society and logical reasoning; Logic is thereby lost when the glasses are crushed exactly like "heart". Isn't it???

Let us check Steel then. Steel is a form of iron mixed with other components, is a younger, more educated metal than it's parent metal iron. Steel still retains iron's aggressive undertones but is balanced with attributes of intelligence and education. An easier way of putting it is that steel is less primal than iron and more refined. Because of steel is advanced form from the older iron, steel also crosses over into more industrial and intellectual endeavors. To work with steel is to work with a metal that is both forceful yet reserved. If iron is the old warrior, steel is the young captain. This is steel. Other characteristics of steel are its great elasticity and its retention of magnetism. Flexibility, durability and strength are the characteristics of steel.

Like Khushi said - "Majbooti". Yup, "Strength" in the human character, strength in the relationships and strength in the house that one resides in. Whereas glass is "Fragile" and it is the same in the human character, no flexibility, fragility in the relationships, the castle will crumble the moment it is shaken and when it will then all the pieces will affect each and every one associated with it. This was the message on Monday - Damaad (Son-in-law) v/s Damaad (Son-in-law), Arnav v/s Shyam. Wasn't it fantastic???

Shyam, exactly made himself available for all the people around him see through him and this is the first reason why Buaji let him enter through her door; like glass provides an attractive blend of elegance and authenticity, Shyam also produced himself as the tactless and a perfect blend of elengance with authenticity to both the Raizadas and the Guptas. But at the end he is "Not Flexible" and that is why when the reality of his true facet came in front of the Guptas and ASR, the myth around him broke down and it's pieces had hurt each and every one of them. The same way it will break the Raizadas and Anjali's "Sand Castle". The people in the Raizada house are exactly like glass and their relationship with each other; hence, when the truth will dawn on each one of the Raizadas they will fall apart and it has to. This is the reason Maamiji said - "Kahin Madhumatiji ka chota sa darwaja khula hua toh nehin milega???" Yes, did you ever think why the Groom had Mama and Mami and not his own parents??? Does it ring a bell??? Yup, it's the future prophecy when the truth will be out then Mama and Mami will come to the Guptas to get Khushi and Payal from this "chota darwaja".

Why Anjali always clings to Puja and Shyam??? Because Anjali is caught into her own loop - her shyness due to crippled nature and insecurity from what she had to face when her Father left them and her Mother committed suicide. Puja is her way of escaping from the reality and love is eternal to her which she never had seen in her Mother's life. She clings to Shyam because of his genuineness as he portrayed and also because Arnav also fell into Shyam's outer elegance and his "tactless" behavior like the glass. She believed her brother. This is also related to "Glass Menagerie"; in the story, Tom finds the groom for his sister Laura but later realized that he was already engaged and when the truth came out he abandoned himself from his sister for the blunder he had with her life and emotions. Now, the "Pujas" are bit more complicated. This not only represents her freedom from reality, but in a much more clearly unusual, perhaps even obsessive, way. The "Silver" plate that the Guptas had gifted is just like her; both are delicate and will blackened if put under any degree of stress. She freaked out when it was lost at the "Teej"because the only thing that silver lacks is it's dark-natured aspect. She believes in a world of illusion and that is why she never repaired the broken photo frame because she had seen her Mother's life never been rectified after her Father left them alone. To her once broken is broken and when the truth will be out then her "Sand castle" will crumble down and she will never try to rebuild it again. But there is always a "silver lining behind every cloud" right??? Because always remember that "Silver is the beacon of light in the darkness". Anjali will be revived and this is why we need "House of Steel" and "Relationship of Steel".

Let us come to the other Damaad. "Arnav Singh Raizada". Do you know that when a bar of steel is struck it gives out a sharp metallic ring??? Yes, a metallic ring. What is ring??? A complete circle. An infinite loop. The circle is a symbol that best represents connectedness, since all regular polygons are embraced by it; since it is without beginning or end it also represents infinity. It is simplest figure and therefore finds representation in numerous cultures. The ring due to its circular nature portrays infinity in the sense of lasting love. Yes, this is another nature of Steel whereas when a bar of glass is struck then it will break into pieces. Isn't it??? This is the difference between Glass and Steel. This is why Guptas have sustained the truth of Shyam and the Raizadas will need Guptas and Arnav to sustain the post-truth trauma. Arnav is basically the slave of the family and he has transformed himself from a wrought iron to steel, much more refined and balanced with attributes of intelligence and education. Arnav felt halted by the situation 12 years back from chasing his dreams, just because of his own good conscience. Did you ever realize why he always goes to the plants and the middle of the road to escape??? Why he gets agitated when Naani says that he is just like his Father??? Because he always wanted to move away from his family, and knew that he could do it, but was somehow obligated to stay for the benefit of people he didn't feel he should be responsible for. This is one reason. Secondly, he needs to prove Naani that he is not like his father and that haunts him day and night. Thirdly, plants give him a sense of adventure and release from his unpleasant reality. He is in greater need for suspension of reality. Fourthly, why middle of the road?? Because it is an "Exit". This shows his desire to escape the burdens that is upon his shoulder and it foreshadows his ultimate decision to do so. His home is at the North. Why??? Because it is the side which lies on the sun's right hand and lies on either side of life; it symbolizes night sky and night wind and is the home of the Moon and the Milky Way. North represents coldness, alienation, and hostility; it is the abode of death. He will return to Khushi always as Khushi's house is in the west as it is the land of evening, old age, and the descending passage of the sun. Arnav's old age is with Khushi and that is why he will return to her heart like the pigeons.

When Arnav came to Guptas he didn't project himself like Shyam and each and everyone knew him the way they need to know him. Like Steel, he didn't represent elegance but his "Mental Strength" and his "Flexibility" is the proof of a "strong relationship". This is why Khushi said - "Majboot Rishta". Like the relationship between Arnav and the Guptas, like the relationship between Arnav and Khushi. Yes, he is aggressive but he is educated and principled and this is why last 2 days we saw how Arnav handled the groom and taught him a lesson on "Human Values".

You know there is another quality of Steel??? It is called "Tempering". If steel has been hardened by being heated and suddenly cooled, it may be softened again by applying a lower degree of heat and again cooling. Indeed, this is why he is not cast iron but steel. Arnav will be softened and once the truth will be out just because he is flexible and he will never break down will definitely come back to shape like the steel. He will hold the Guptas together as this is the house made with steel and any relationship made of steel is always "Durable" for eternity. Now, this is another "Damaad".

If one Son-in-law shows of the fake personality then the other son-in-law shows the real personality.

Monday when he found the wrapper, I was elated to see that. Thank God, the CVs proved us we will be getting to revisit the terrace scene. There was guilt when he entered the room and the moment he saw the wrapper, he was more and more confirmed about the guilt and that he purposefully had to crush a girl's dream which he never wanted to do. He had to as he had no other option. You know what, I felt bad for him yesterday as he constantly is searching for a clue that will relieve him of his guilt but he is been thrown to feel more into it. Here I loved the CVs as they did hint us that Buaji will direct him to the whole truth of Shyam as she is the only elder who knows the whole story like the way she guided him to the file. This reminded me that the "Property" file which Shyam discovered is not the actual file that ASR wanted to hide; he actually brought it with him and I am glad here. So, we are heading for a confrontation where the half-truth will be disclosed and the wrapper did prove that.

Today's episode as I said is all about both the mothers - "Biological and Corn". Since Tant have described Khushi and Arnav here, I will not get into details, but will touch on what I felt watching the episode.

"You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool mom".

When I was watching the last scene where Arnav eavesdropped to the little talk of a Mother and a daughter, I know everyone have sympathized with Khushi and her pains but did anyone think of Arnav there??? Just plain 15 yrs. old Arnav. No. right??? It took me straight to 2 scenes. One, where Arnav and Anjali were discussing about their Mother followed by Khushi - Arnav scene and second, where Arnav said - "Meri koi Maa nehin hain, mar chuki hain meri Maa". Then when Arnav realized that he had hurt Garimaji, he apologized and said - "Actually main kisiko Maa nehin kahein sakta, uss baat ke liye aap ko bura laga tha issliye..." So truthful a Man is, isn't it??? For him there is a sense of void in the word "Mother". He have a long memory of his Mother; for him his Mother was by his side till he was in his teens and when he lost his Mother at that age, how can he just address anyone by that name. He cannot, for whatever he does he owns it and does it with conviction. He is a man of principles that's why when he canceled the engagement with Lavanya he did it because he could never be loyal to her and her feelings. This is ASR and that's why he never shows off "Duplicity".

This scene took me to the day when Anjali and Arnav remembered their Mom. That day, Anjali opened the Jewelry Box and held their Mom's bangles and when she said how they used to fell asleep listening to the "khann khann" of these bangles, Arnav uttered - "inki khanak mein itna sukoon tha, lagta tha jaise saari din ki thakawat utar gayi ho" for as Erich Fromm says - Mother's love is peace. It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved".

The letter written to her daughter-in-law said - "Aap ko ek raaz ki baat batani hain, dhyaan rakhiyega aur sawdhan rahiyega, humare chote ke naak pe bahut saara gussa raheta hain, aur dil mein, dil mein bahut saara pyaar". When Anjali said - "Agar Maa aaj tumhein dekhti toh", instantly Arnav uttered - "Pehchaan bhi nehi paati mujhe". Yes, and he walked out from there for he knows if his Mom would have been alive then he would not turn out like the corn with the husks around and that he never allowed to even get in to the sweet corn on the cob. He "Absolutely Never" allowed any one to enter his heart and get to the real person that is "Arnav". He had shown his two facets to Khushi and whenever Khushi tries to know the real person, fate brings them back to square one. Only a Mother is able to know her child with an instinct whereas for others, they need to be shown or allowed to be known to.

"There is an instinct in a woman to love most her own child - and an instinct to make any child who needs her love, her own" ~ Robert Brault

Today we saw Garimaji as a Mom gathering the vital information whether Khushi is happy in her married life or not. This is a very generic conversation every Mother has with their daughters and so I didn't find any unusual here, but what had strike me was Garimaji's understanding and in depth knowledge in this relationship and the children. Khushi is neither her biological daughter nor Arnav is her biological son but when she talked about both of them the most that touched my heart was when she said - "par pata nehin ek anjaani ankahin khalish (dard) dikhayi deti hain tum dono ke beech". A mother she is indeed and instantly she realized the tension between the newlyweds even though she approves the love between them but the "Pain" in their eyes didn't go unnoticed in her eyes. This scene reminded me of the scene when Arnav asked Khushi about whether Parents become stars after death or if this is true. Khushi then said - "baat sach ya jhoot ki nehin hain, baat yekin ki hain". Yeah, this is of belief that your parents have become stars after their death; that they watch you from high above; this is about your belief and not what the world had set a ground rule to regarding that. Then Arnav cried out for answer from Khushi - "Kya meri Maa mujhe dekh kar khush hain"??? He is not happy within and he knew that his Mom would also not be happy with the way he had turned out. He thrashed a Girl's heart just some days back in Diwali and is about to spoil another one's in some days at that moment. He knew his Mom wouldn't be happy with him because as per him, she is his biological Mom and so, it's only her prerogative that she will understand her son. But, what Arnav doesn't know that there is another lady, who without his knowledge has read him perfectly. When Garimaji said - "ek baat toh pata chal chuki hain, ki woh dil ke bahut saaf hain" proved that why she is a Mother to Khushi and Payal and why she will be the same for Arnav.

Yup, This is why I said this track is also about Arnav v/s Shyam. Arnav can fool anyone but could he fool Garimaji??? No, he couldn't. Neither Garimaji knew that Arnav helped in Preetika's wedding nor Arnav knew that Garimaji read him inside out. This is called Mother's instinct.

Then the scene I loved where Garimaji was talking about her worry which brought tears to my eyes. She said - "humhein bahut chinta thi ki hum marne ke baad upar jaa ke hum tohri Maa ko kya jawab denge, lekin ab woh chinta bhi dur ho gayi". Khushi then uttered - "humari Amma toh aap hain, aap ko kisiko bhi jawab dene ki koi zaroorat nehin hain". This segment may be of Arnav and Khushi but this segment proved to Arnav that Garimaji never ever tried to take the place of Khushi's Mother; rather she always had seen herself as a "Second" Mother or rather "Corn Mother" to Khushi and it was Khushi who had gladly placed her in her biological Mother's place. It was Khushi who had given her the authority to be her Mother and one day it will be Arnav who will prove himself to be the "best husband" to Khushi not because Khushi had desired or tried to keep away the worries from Garimaji, but he will do it for Garimaji's sake; for he would that day want to be in the heart of Garimaji; he would want to be an authentic human being and son and a husband in the eyes of Garimaji; he will prove himself because he needs her love, a Mother's love so that if she is happy then his Mother will also be happy.

Dear Tants,

Can't believe, 2 days in a row I get to be a front page writer ! 😃 I am yet to read your post, and will wait for Doods and others to update, but here's my take on today's episode and IPK in general !

For me, today was all about Garima (I'm sorry I don't know the name of the actor)... the lady portrayed the character brilliantly. The fear in her eyes, if her daughter has chosen a wrong life partner was felt by the viewers. Her doubts, her fears and later her satisfaction were all real.👏 Only a mother can feel what her child is going through... it's instinctive... irrespective of the fact whether she has given birth to her child or not. If she has accepted the child as one of her own, then she is a mother. She may be critical of Khushi, may sound more harsh towards Khushi when compared with Payal... but then, maybe it's because Khushi and Payal are different personalities. Payal is the timid one, and Khushi is a brat... a mother's gotta be stricter with the brat, doesn't she?

Sanaya and Barun again... fantabulous !👏

But today, that 5 minute scene between the mother-daughter was so touching. The fear Garima portrayed was a universal fear of a mother whose daughter has just been married and who wants to know if the new husband and new family is keeping her happy.

Although I love IPK and tend not to miss any episode... but lately I was feeling a little disconnected with it... I mean, I knew where the story is going, why the CVs are showing what they are... but there was something missing.😕 But today, I felt that IPK was back with a bang ! Garima, Khushi and ASR (and later Arnav), were all brilliant. Khushi finally realized what the forum-wasis have been saying since a long time that her hubby darling is Bipolar !😛😉

I started watching the program only for Sanaya... started appreciating Barun much later... I thought, he needed to evolve more as an actor... and boy has he evolved !!! He was good earlier, but the day I became his fan was when he was running after the ambulance, thinking something has happened to Khushi. After that, I was floored... ☺️and have still not been able to get up !😆

To be honest, I love watching American thriller or comedy series... I'm not a Indian soap fan, and I usually get bored with them after 2 weeks. I watch them from a critic's point of view ! Never did I think I would get hooked on to a Hindi Serial, that I would start writing about it !!!😳 But after reading you guys here, I feel like writing ! Thank you all !

Hola people! 🤗

Sathya, Love the title. 😳 "Reality Bites" - completely apt for today's episode - Waiting for your analysis!! 😉

Whatever I do, however much I resist I cannot help but come up with my bak bak! Today I had decided that - "No Anna, no analysis today!" But nahi - when it comes down to thinking about the episode and how brilliantly fabulous it was - I could not help but pen my thoughts down! 😛

First of all I need to congratulate Sathya and Doodhs for this wonderful thread and I say this not because they write wonderful analysis - but because I have started feeling that the PH actually does read it. While watching the episode all I could think was - that we all had written, discussed and wanted this for I don't know when!! And today - every bit of it was present on TV and my eyes were almost out! 😳

Coming to the episode - The Shyam - Khushi and Arnav angle is still where it was and I do not expect it to move when Shyam has been missing from action. Something that I wanted to ask everyone - am I the only one who misses him everyday!? I don't know but I did expect some after reaction from him - on his planning when such a huge thing has fallen on him but no! Please writers give me Shyam back! 😭

"Khushi spoils and Arnav rectifies"

The trend in Arnav Khushi relationship is that Khushi spoils things and Arnav rectifies it. Today with her open mouth, Khushi did not realize that she was actually harming Preetika's relationship. She meant well, no doubt about that - but did she realize that how would it be taken by the Groom's - Ankur's family!? Nope - she did not. She forgot that in middle class families - one does not question the groom or his family and she even thought right and polite, did exactly that. And the result was as expected - the groom's family decided to break off the rishta.

There where Khushi was directly approaching the Groom's family, Arnav Singh Raizada was playing his own game. He awakened the consciousness of the groom - reasoning with him and making him understand where he was wrong. He hit directly at the nail - and that is why at the end moment - it was Arnav Singh Raizada who saved the marriage from being stopped and hence rectified Khushi's mistake

Significance : Khushi kept a secret that was not hers to keep - her intentions honorable and righteous - just like today - yet poor decision. If today she has landed herself in this whole mess - she is to be partly blamed for it - it has to be accepted that had she made a selfish decision that time - she could have saved herself, Payal and Anjali from the upcoming and impending danger.

Now Arnav is at grave fault - no denying that - nevertheless he is rectifying what he thinks and believes that Khushi has messed up. He feels by marrying Khushi - he has helped Anjali. But then again - whatever he is doing is wrong - but when he learns of the whole and complete truth - he will again rectify what he did wrong.

Khushi's monologues

" Hum inhe kabhi samjh nahi payenge"

"Ek insaan ke do chehre - kabhi shaitaan, kabhi rajkumar"

Khushi has seen both the faces of Arnav - not now but before also. She probably knows him better than anyone else as well. But her understanding of him is still in the beginning stages because understanding Arnav is very very difficult. He is a layered character and anyone who has seen both the important layers - would find it difficult to understand him.

If yesterday's episode was about Arnav's confusion between Head and the heart, today was about Khushi's confusion between her head and the heart. She has seen two Arnav's - and both have made disastrous impact on her. One has made a deep space in her heart unknowingly as her Rajkumar and the other resides in her mind - as Shaitaan!

I want Khushi to understand and I know she will - The Rajkumar is not always WHITE and the Shaitaan is not always BLACK - the person she loves is GREY. And the day she accepts that she would have understood in totality who Arnav Singh Raizada is and what makes this man. Today was again the beginning of her confusion - the man who helped another man become a better and a good husband - and the man who himself is not a good husband. The difference so well shown. And that is where I hope her mind pricks and it keeps pricking for her to get that answer from him on why he married her. This time I can hope we stick to this seriousness than shifting to unnecessary comedy.

Also I would mention here - AGAIN - Buaji and Garima have been a witness to Arnav Khushi bonding on the dance floor. This is the second time after the "gol gappa" incident and I am glad that we have 2 ladies from RM - Anjali and Nani and 2 ladies from GH - Garima and Buaji - who have been a witness to the love Arnav and Khushi share. When time comes - the RM ladies and the GH ladies will join hands and bring these two together.

The mother sees the real Arnav Singh Raizada

A mother's heart is the purest on the whole earth. She is capable enough to know what resides in whose heart and how a person is. She sees, she understands and she knows. Today Garima understood who Arnav Singh Raizada is deep inside. She knew he was not very happy coming into GH - she knew he was obviously finding it difficult to adjust - yet she also understood that he however obnoxious he may seem - he did not deliberately try and make life difficult for them - he did not become a pain - he did not complain.

"Woh dil ke bahut saaf hai"

How true. He is very clean from his heart. Not once has he taken out his anger of Kushi on the Gupta ladies - not once did he complain - his heart is clean - and his actions would be cleaner if not for the misunderstanding he was in.

The mother daughter moment

The mother daughter moment started when Garima asked Khushi of whether she was thinking of Arnav - yet for me it started when Garima starts talking about Khushi's happiness!

Time and Again, I have wondered why are the Gupta ladies - Garima or Buaji NOT questioning Khushi!? Why are they not asking her about her married life!? And today it happened. Today finally Garima asked her daughter about her married life. Whether she was happy or not.

"Tum donon ek doosre ki parvah karte ho - par tareeka alag hai dikhane ka"

How true! Nothing misses the eyes of a mother does it!? Garima has noticed both Arnav and Khushi and she has seen both their interactions - and closely and she can see that both of them deep down in their heart love each other - but when it comes to expression of that love - that is different. When Garima will come to know about the conditions in which Khushi had to marry Arnav - she will definitely hate him - but this understanding of him that she has developed now - will help her to see his reasons. She will be a mother to him then when she will also understand his reasons and his insecurities and he will also be her son when he will repent and apologize sincerely for his mistakes.

Garima asking Khushi for her happiness ;

"Hum khushi nahi hain...(seeing the shocked expression on Garima's face) Balki hum bahut Khush hain..."

That is who Khushi is. Khushi manages to hide her pain behind her words and behind her smile and at this moment the only person who could see through them and understand them was only Arnav and Arnav alone for he was the reason of it. Just like when the truth dawns on Khushi - only she will be able to understand him because she will know his reasons.

She hides her pain successfully and lists down everything that she would actually want Arnav to be like and what he is not. And Arnav knows the pain and understands it - he is a witness to the pious mother - daughter moment and he can see through the lies that Khushi tells Garima and more than that - he can again see that he has crashed the heart of the girl he loves into million pieces - he has finished all her hopes of living a happily ever after - he has trampled all her dreams of having a perfect husband and that is what does not let him sleep at night. However much he may want to hate her - he may want to destroy her - he may want to finish her - he cannot help but regret his actions and now he is not even trying to justify that what he has done was right. The reality is seeping in him - he has spoiled her life - and he is guilty.

Pointers :

1) Everyone was perfect today!! Sanaya was Fabulous!

2) Can I please get Shyam!? I so want to see him now!

Favorite Character of the day :

Khushi and Garima! I absolutely loved the mother daughter interaction. It was beautiful and made me cry and when I cry that scene has to be the best! 😆

All in all a FABULOUS Episode!! However much I tried to keep myself from writing anything - I just could not stay away! 😆

Lots of Love :)

She is like my sister in the forum - always wants to me to get married 😆 - I can speak my heart out to her and I absolutely LOVE her poems!!! HAPPY B'DAY LUCKY!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳There is a present waiting for you in your inbox and I hope you like it!!
Love you LOADSS!!!! Muahhh!

Hello ladies... how have you been?

I missed being part of redux... Everytime I watched the episode.. I had so many things to say but just had no time...I couldn;t read everyone's perspective... getting back to work after a hiatus can be hard. Tanthya... reality indeed bites!!!!

For me today the whole episode was based on

"Pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding." Khalil Gibran

Today and yesterday Arnav felt Khushi's pain. But he didn't dwell on it long enough to realize the facts and start questioning himself - every time he found a piece of Shyam and then it was back to square one. Its a good development though...there is a chink in the wall between them - his steadfast refusal to see the actual truth. Facts have always surrounded him in subtle way but he does not want connect the dots just yet. But the chip in the windshield is surely going to grow steadily with their blow hot blow cold behavior with each other. In some way he is beginning to understand Khushi's predicament. He witnessed how she has been living a lie each day for her family when she is not even aware of the reason surrounding her contract marriage. He beginning to feel Khushi's torment and it won't be long before he voices "kya maine theek kiya?" He witnessed how she portrayed her wedding to be a beautiful event when the bitter truth was something else.

Sanaya beautifully potrayed the emotions ... confusion, sadness, longing, desire, suffocation, torment - all surrounding one and only one person. She saw that he understands what a husband should be. Good thing... got her wheels churning in the right direction again. She needs to find out the reason for this marraige. I am glad Arnav witnessed Garima- Khushi's dialog. Khushi tried telling her mom - I am not happy... she immediately recanted and said she was super happy when she saw mom's worried face. To allay her mom's fear, she conveyed what she hoped for - but not facing Garima who would have guessed the truth from her face. After it was mom's keen eyes who saw something was amiss in their relationship. I hope he realized that for K - it is of utmost importance that they don't feel any sadness especially because of her. This would be key to him understanding that she would never ever hurt/betray anyone she holds dear. She has already told him... "Humne apka gussa apke parivar wale pe kabhi nahi nikala aur kabhi bhi nahi nikalenge"

Lately their were lots of rabba vey moments ... although most of them idiotic and totally out of sync. Arnav is feeling the love again - something he has been fighting and quashing down. This I think has happened because of little changes deep down within himself - involuntary changes. ButI don't think love is not happening between them anytime soon. They have to go through the entire cycle of anger, hurt, denial, grief, remorse (oh ya even khushi - coz she has troubled him quiet a bit) and withdrawl. Love that follows will be of the deepest kind... at the level of soul. Cv's please potray this beautifully... just like Khushi's scenes were written today.

And kudos to Khushi (and writers) for asking all those qs to mama and mami and to Arnav for pointing out whats missing in husband's outlook and behavior... very good social message.

I think I will stop my jabber blabber here... before I stop making sense.

One thing CV's .. please give Barun some better fitting shirts... or he has lost weight? THey look ill fitting on him. And no more red or brown. And I absolutely insist ... Barun get a haircut (LOL... who am I?)

PS:
Oh oh.. I have to mention about the precap.. .I don't if I can write again tomm or not. I loved how Arnav was holding Khushi's hand.. not the other way round. It felt protective - Arnav about Khushi; reassuring - I will not let go come what may- Arnav to Khushi; comforting - for Arnav. When Khushi removed her hand he immediately woke up - he was so aware of her absence. Loved loved loved it.

Sathu Jaan GE 😃 reality Bites what a title Superb,, exactly what i thought about ASR today...yes reality Bytes the explanation which he Gave the groom that exactly he is not following.. Kushi and Garima Conversation is the Colour picture to ASR what he is doing with Kushi...😆 😆..guilt Pushing him again and forcing him to spell out the truth on meaningful fight Kushi will get her answers 😃

will wait for your update 😃 ..
Heya everyone 🤗 🤗 🤗

What should i say about the Episode...I am so happy to see the continuation after ages ..should i say if they have chosen this two episodes Monday and Tuesday as ME i would Love to watch it as it is.Simply loved the Continuation ..Yesterday It was total on ASR feelings and His Different shades of emotions than Today it was kushi's Day of realisation .who is this ASR,her feelings for a Husband which she was searching in him from the day one of Hasty marriage.
I should say we are blessed to have a such a talented actor's on televison Industry who playing the charecter's like ASR and Kushi. They are made for each other and sarun are living the charecters with out leaving a stone to criticize about the charecters they are playing.

I am really really happy that Today i saw the kushi where i was missing her these days on regular bases.A gril who can see only happiness and shares the happiness, who used dream about her Raj kumar who is loving.caring and can bring her the star world in her hands,Make her happy ever minute. These are all the things kushi Grown up dreaming and beliving One day her Rajkumar would enter in to her Life and she will be princeses Of his heart .

Cv's are step by step showing the marriage Rituals Customes and traditions that are followed by Middle class families in India.I loved the total marriage Track enough for us How Marriage system in India is and How the changes are taking Place in our marriage system As ASR said in his Dialogue 1960's ,,yeah Times have changed the system ..it was than where their even Groom and bride groom won't see their faces ..Its all depends upon the elders who decide the marriage according to their will and Status, caste ,religion every thing.but recent era its all on the decision of couple who ready to get married.

The Couple interstets,tasets,education..on these bases the marriage are happening.so all about the Couple who respect each other and even will respect their in laws on both sides.I loved loved the Cv's Subtle Hinting on Marriage system is can only be changed by the Couple who are going to get married.they can only change the Views of elders if they stand on their principles and show their parents They will happy with their partners not the gifts are dowry Given by the grils parents.

The episode begins with ASR firing the groom From the job, because he don't want the spine less Man who can't stop his Mamaji and mamiji from insulting the In laws ,and even becouse of this attitude He can spoil the girls life.ASR made him realize his fault ,where as Kushi who is Trying to take with the Grooms relatives with out knowing the result of her talks,it was a heart full try from Kushi's side, but it was mere waste to Talk with such arrogant people.ASR who know's
the outside world very well Handled the situation From the other end. Thus he saved the girls marrage and kushi's self respect.

So why did ASR did all this things even Given lecture to the Groom that be a good Husband and respect her family..when he himself Not following and Mistreating kushi.i think it was ASR who is brother of anjali once in his Childhood he cannot save his Di marriage becouse he was child who cannot handle the situation, may be who was expecting the groom to handle situation make his parents to stop humiliating ASR family..but nothing happned in such a way..so now he sees Anajli face in Bride groom face,Than on that day he can't do anything but today he is pwerfull young Man who can handle the situation who save a girls Life though the gril and her family are nothing to him still the Arnav in him made him to do all those things..But he totally failed as Kush's Husband. He didn't realised till now how as a husband he didn't do anything for her.

I really loved the way Cv's Showed us how ASR thoughts and words back fire To him badly.Toady he was happy that he saved a girls marriage and dreams..but what he failed in his own life.
Kushi's monolouge and her confusion are increasing day by day..she can't realate the preson who is good to outside world ,Find happiness and fill happiness in other's life but when it comes to her he behaves like rajkumar sometimes and Shaithan other times...Sanaya Was fabulous thought out episode today..again she reached at conclusion that something Big happened so that ASR reacted widly and married her forcibly.i really hope she will continue to think in the same way and find the answers for her question from ASR.

Kushi and garima conversation and ASR listening to it fabuloulsy Done ...ASR FB's and kushi's Pain in her eyes..her views on husband which are exactly done oppositely by ASR..and again ASR Cornered with guilt and pain whatever he did to kushi.

On the whole the episode was Beatifully done.Excellent.👏 👏👍🏼

Precap:loved it can't wait for tomorrow episode.Arnav was totally smashed by seeing kushi's feeling his guilt is heavy on him that he can't sleep at all..somewhere he was scared that he might be loosing kushi soon..God he is suffereing a lot and suffering her with his ego..Cv's i can't see them in such pain set them free from this pain..😳

Anna: Don't worry Anna i am really missing Him these day's the Story is stagnant from shyam side and i wanted to mention it but forgot😆 😆...
he got File its been already a week and still we don't know where he is sleeping with file..🤣 🤣

@Tanthya, amazing redux, agree about "Reality Bites", for both Arnav and Khushi.

@Dood, brilliant loved you take on Arnav the 15 year old boy who still lives inside.

@Anna, Loved your analysis and agree with all the points.

@Others, amazing job at analyzing.

@Sea Nymph, agree with you about Khushi who needs to understand her own feelings and life before trying to understand who Arnav Singh Raizada is. I have been saying for a long time Khushi does not understand Arnav but only knows his habits, she confirmed it from her own mouth.

MY ANALYSIS.

In the beginning of the episode and from day before yesterday's, Arnav struck right at the heart of the matter the Groom.

If you look at the other way, what does a Upper and educated middle class Man and his parents desire, is that he gets a good job with benefits and good salary, in the future a good position.

This is where Arnav struck, the boys family pride in having a good job and salary. So he took the groom's job away to teach him a lesson of how will it feel to him if his position in life is shaken and to make him see the repercussion of not standing up to the girl and her family.

Khushi took the emotional route which did not sit well with groom's family and they were ready to break the marriage because of Khushi. Khushi needs to learn that there are people in the world who do not understand the emotional talk. There are times when you have to be cool, calm and collected in crisis.

I felt bad for both, but Arnav was the one who pulled my heart strings because when he saw the exchange between Khushi and her mother, I saw that with pain and guilt there was also yearning for his mother.

Before I did not like Garimaji's attitude with Khushi, but now I understood how difficult this must be for her to raise Khushi as she is her own sister's daughter. That was she was a little hard with Khushi, because of Khushi's childish nature and she was worried how will this girl become a mature woman when her time comes for marriage.

👏👏👏 What a Lovely episode today if yesterday was a dedication to Arnav, Than today was a Dedication to Khushi & Kudos to SI for potraying the heart wrenching emotions, it left me with Tears sliding from my eyes. It is picking the momentum agn One which we all hv been waiting, dunt know will it reach to crescendo this time or not but for today I loved it.😃
With the clean crisp Arnav hitting again the groom on the rightness and when he did so nicely beautifully that no one would hv realised he was at work, the way he fixed the whole situation was appluadable.,,, A few correct words & the perfectiohn, once evrything settles he feels for his Khushi he gets closer, he is so at peace looking her happy dancing agn, a bitter remembrance & he isnt sure what is reality. the tug at heart & the punch at mind was brilliantly bought by BS.
Here when he lost his footing by the push, Khushi holds him, made me remember the words once she had told him, "App girne se dariyega mat, Hum hamesha aapko sambhalenge"
I also loved the fact that he slowly & unsurely inches towards the dancing Khushi but once he was there he copies her action, reminding me that he knows on this turf he is immature & yet Khushi is pro, wish this same knowledge helps him with Khushi.
Khushi Agn when she listens to him talking to the groom, is confused between the two sides of his persona, after a long time we get a monologue for her, she is desperate to unravel the engima called her husband, she knows now something is there which isnt clear yet which pushes him like a oscillating pendulum between two extremes, the pain the agony were wonderful here, her confusion her inability to be with the one who she loves was troubling her. She cant reach him, something holds him to be with her & vice versa,
& than came the things which agn made the most impact, the lovely talk between the mother & daughter, A mother knows her the pulse of her child, that what they say in my native. Garimaji beautifully says "ek anjani si ankahi khalish dikhati hai tum dono ke beech," when I googled the term Khalish, i found the answer pain or prick but for me this Khalish holds a greater meaning, For me its the obstacle, the inability to reach out, pain , a complain all in one & when her daughter replies, how beautifully she opens her most beautiful dream woven in the words to her mothers heart that the mother doesnt hv a option not to believe her, the fb's here made us see the confusion, guilt & weigh Arnav carries on his soul, uneasy lies the soul which carries the burden of mistrust. the next line stole my heart, Garimaji says " Hume bahut chinta thi ki hum marane ke baad upar jaake tumhari amma ko kya jawab denge, the next from khushi Hamari amma to aap hai aapko kissi ko bhi jawab dene ki koi jarurat nahi hai" how she breathes & lives for her realtion, nothing could hv shown us better than this, A heart of Gold & A soul which shines with Love & only Love was the only thing which defined Khushi here.
She could just said the words I am happy and would satisified her mother, but she knows her mother & the unease which pricks her mother. so she builds the symphony of words which will reach to her mothers heart & finally the sleep, he is uneasy with what he heard he knows there is no boundations for her here to carry the facade which he forces her at RM , yet she hasnt ever uttered a wrong word abt him to anyone, Love his confusion his unease.
How well Garimaji potrayed Arnav from ASR, clean hearted, man of few words and distant Yet in the end has won their hearts.
⭐️⭐️Highlight of the day for me was the expression from buaji & garimaji when they saw both of them dancing together.⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tere Bina Zingadi se Koi Shikwa to Nahi Shikwa nahi...
Edited: When the GH track had been included we all had hopes of the pace of the things to increase & boy how beautifully they hv eveolved in last 8-10 episode, I was wondering was it bcz at RM Arnav & Khushi never spent more than moments in each others company, yet here in GH they are together most of the day or here it is bcz the totality of the situation is working.?

Dil ke armaan aasuon main beh gayye... This song has been stuck in my head ever since I saw the episode. Today saw not only Khushi releasing the long pent up tears, but also found me unable to stop those tears from trickling down my face. Kuch zyaada hi emotional it made me... Poorane IPKKKND episodes yaad aa gaye - the intensity of the moment, the pain striking notes, the raw emotions, the clear conversations, the dynamic duo (Sanaya and Barun) performing so naturally that you could almost feel the pain that Khushi and Arnav are going through!

Hmmm, now that I've let out a bit, let's get going with the update. I think, it's going to be a pretty lengthy one today, will break it up into sections so that it's easier on your eyes.

A GLIMPSE INTO EACH OTHER'S REAL SELF

Today, Khushi and Arnav, both got convincing insights into each other's true characters. Khushi saw Arnav having a major hand in establishing someone's happiness along with teaching someone to stand up for the right causes courageously, while Arnav saw a heart-broken Khushi covering up her intense pain with lies about a happy married life.

Khushi sees Arnav as a person who ensures other people's happiness.
She knows that he is angry about something, and yet here he is helping out in joining two families in the holy sacrament of marriage - an institution he has repeatedly said that he doesn't believe in. Not only has he done this, but he has also driven a high sense of value in the groom's head regarding the happiness of a wife. A person, who doesn't seem to apply these very elements in his own marriage cares enough to tell another person about it. 'CLANG!' goes the resounding bell of 'reasoning' in Khushi's head. Why would a person like Arnav do such a thing, or even go to such an extent for someone else?

Arnav is a first-hand witness to the emotionally-wrecked Khushi-Garimaji scene, and to Khushi sacrificing her pain for her mother's happiness. Khushi's once-upon-a-time-dreams about her Rajkumar surfaces in her conversation with Garima, while Arnav is the silent spectator emoting only with his eyes (which convey heart-piercing dialogues of their own!). He listens as Khushi talks about her husband always being there for her, taking care of the little things that matter to her, doing anything and everything to bring a smile to her face, giving her the things she desires before she even wishes for them, and being the "duniya ke sabse accha pati".

Arnav is ridden with enormous guilt for all that he has done to Khushi so far. Each dream of hers uttered drove a guilt-tipped nail to his heart. Each tear that fell as she strove to project her happy married life pricked him in the softest corners of his heart. Every line, every wish, every dream and every word that Khushi spoke hurtled toward his conscience and burst within him like a million bombs. He sees her as a young girl, whose dreams of a fairy-tale wedding, and prince have been massacred and yet she puts on a strong face, a happy face, a face that masks her carefully hidden pain in order to bring happiness in other people's lives, and to stand up for him even when she thinks he's not there.

KAUN HAI YEH?

Like before in the episode where Arnav gets his voice back after drinking the kaadha prepared by Khushi, Khushi asks yet again "Kaun hai yeh?" Indeed, who is this man, who doesn't implement the values of marriage that he spouts to another in his own marriage? (Of course, Khushi misses the point that this is 'not a real marriage' but to her it is a real marriage, even if it is for 6 months).

Khushi till now has come to 'know' about Arnav, but she hasn't 'understood' him yet. She knows that he decides his own fate, she knows that he will do anything for his sister, she knows that he won't deign to respond to her questions, she knows that he is ASR. But when it comes to understanding him, understanding the reasons behind Arnav being who he is, and understanding where all his anger stems from - she is thoroughly lagging behind here. She hasn't yet got down to the 'root' of ASR's character. She says it herself in today's episode "Hum inhe kabhi nahi samajh payenge."

PYAAR AUR DARR

"Ek pal mein inse itna pyaa... aur doosre pal mein inse itna darr." Khushi's sub-conscious mind recognizes that it is 'Love' that she harbors for Arnav, but her conscious mind is confused. Note, how she says 'Pyaa...' then pauses as a confused expression crosses her face as if puzzled how the word 'pyaar' ever came into her conscience.

Khushi works on a very sub-conscious level - her instinct tells her to do something and she does it without following up with 'why' exactly her 'instinct' propels her to do things
. So, when she says the above dialogue, it is her instinct, her gut, her heart speaking. She is scared, scared of the truth - that she has fallen for Arnav. As she works only on her instinct, she does not allow this instinct to surface into her 'conscious' mind therefore keeping her conscious mind in the dark about her true feelings for Arnav.

This is also why her instinct tells her that she is scared, but she is unable to pinpoint what exactly scares her about him. If you ask me, before getting to the 'root' of Arnav's behaviour, this girl needs a serious follow up into her own behaviour - if she can't understand herself, how is she going to understand Arnav?

YEH AISA KYUN HAIN?

Enveloped in pain, focussing on the current moment and repressing her feelings of hurt are not helping Khushi in any way to get her answers. All she can think of is the two sides to a person. Shaitan ya Rajkumar?
For the life of her, Khushi is harangued by the constant mood swings and the different faces of the man she married.Khushi has had enough of MR.ASR and Arnav, and has now decided to get to the reason behind all of Arnav's actions toward her so far - it remains to be seen how the CV's follow this track - please no OTT comedy, maintain the seriousness and intensity.

MOTHER-WIFE-HUSBAND

I love the portrayal of Garimaji as a 'mother' in every sense of the word! She may have adopted Khushi, but that doesn't stop her from seeing that there is something in the way of Khushi-Arnav's relationship. Yes, she did see them dancing together earlier that evening, but one sight doesn't fool her eyes, her mind and her heart.

She will be the one, definitely, to show Arnav's true character to Khushi when the repentance track is on. She has already laid it down for Khushi - "Arnavji ka dil bilkul saaf hai." Note, how this statement is registered by Khushi - she looks up instantly into the mirror at her mother. This statement will remain in her mind for a long time, and will help later on.

The bed - there is some significance around it - as the first time too when Garima spoke to Payal and Khushi, it was about being married to a person and growing to love that person as time went by. This time too, she takes Khushi there and asks her if she and Arnav are happy as she has noticed that there is a 'khalish' between them even though they care for one another in their own ways.

Khushi at first says that she is not happy, but one look at Garima's scared face makes her add 'main bahut khush hoon' thereby bringing relief to Garima's concern for her daughter.

Arnav enters at this point to hear Khushi speak about the good qualities of her husband, each good quality by Khushi about him stamps itself on his mind with the opposite qualities he resorted to as he goes into flashbacks.

This scene is beautiful as it takes into account the feelings of a mother, a wife and a husband. The mother is concerned about her naughty daughter, she is on tenterhooks when it comes to this prankster and is scared that Khushi might do something to enrage Arnav. Besides this, is a mother who deeply longs to see her daughter happy in marriage - marriage is a sacred bond in their family and there are high values attached to it. She is the one who provides understanding and insight into Arnav's character - Khushi should listen to her more often if she wants to decode ASR/Arnav.

The wife is an ordinary girl, who dreams about having a husband who cares, protects and loves her. Sadly, her dreams have been ground to a mash, and she has no idea why! But, her mother's feelings are important to her, more important than the heavy weight of tears burdening her young heart. A girl, who won't let her husband down, even if he hasn't disclosed the reason behind their hasty marriage to her, convinces her mother that she has the best pati in the world by her side.

Standing by the door, on the fringe of an endearing relationship between mother and daughter is the husband. Not a word is spoken by him verbally, but his eyes do all the talking silently and effectively. The guilt passes through his face, only to be followed by remorse, which is then covered by pain (not his own, but of his wife's), this is soon followed by confusion, incomprehension and finally defeat (of putting his wife through such a ordeal that he has fallen in his own eyes). A while back he was the one telling the groom about respecting one's wife, about having a spine, about standing up for what is right. And here, his wife's words that hint toward her dreams cross out every word he uttered to that groom. All his points lay cancelled as his wife's hurt, pain, dejection, sacrifice and tears hit his conscience.

RANKLED CONSCIENCE

"Now conscience wakes despair
That slumber'd,
wakes the bitter memory
Of what he was, what is, and what must be Worse;
of worse deeds worse sufferings must ensue!"~ John Milton (Paradise Lost)

Arnav is struck by Khushi's ability to hide her pain and to convince her mother that he, Arnav. is a good husband. Even more than this, is why she is doing it! He thinks that she is in love with someone else, he knows that he has put her through hard times (his recent FB's show us that), and he now he has seen her masking her pain twice - first, in front of her friends when they ask about her marriage day, and the second, convincing her mother that all is well between them.

Khushi's selflessness here strikes Arnav as odd - so odd, that he is unable to face her true character anymore as it just shows him how wrong his 'mind' has been about her. At night, her words rankle his conscience, he remembers the words 'duniya ke sabse accha pati' and wakes up thoroughly shaken up, only to see an innocent, guilt-free, clear conscience Khushi sleeping peacefully.

=============
DHOL RV DANCE

I left this for last, as I felt that it wouldn't fit the flow above. The 'Dhol' RV dance showed Arnav forgetting his earlier comment to Khushi to stay out of his sight. He is yet again in unfamiliar territory, and he inches toward the only familiar person known to him - Khushi. That's where his heart resides, and she is there to support him if he trips, just like she did once before. Sadly, the 'terrace scene' impedes this moment and Arnav snaps back into ASR leaving a bewildered Kushi there.

Loved the episode... brilliant performances by everyone, especially Sanaya and Barun!! 👏 It was nice of them to put across the message of grooms taking a stand against disrespect toward the bride's family, and it also portrayed the worries of a mother about her daughter's married life. It's nice to see important matters/issues like this being linked into the storyline. Keep it going!!
