Great analysis everyone. Doodles love what you said about Shyam never letting them into his terroritory but Arnav did the opposite, so true! I just loved this scene, it really showed behind his tough exterior is someone who does have a good heart. I am glad Bua and Garima are seeing this side of him, they too will have a better understanding of him when all is said and done.

@Doods: Wonderful writing yet again!
I havent seen last night's episode, but reading your analysis is enough for me to enjoy and appreciate it.
Read somewhere that the precap, shows that Arnav will spill the beans on why he doesn't want to call Garima ji amma and the first thing which struck me was that a few days back, you predicted that Arnav will come to know how Garima has been a mother to Khushi & Payal inspite of not being their biological mother and Arnav will realise the importance of "dil ke rishtey" which he has missed in his life.
The way you have foreseen the track with absolute precision is simply mind blowing!

Tanthya, I hope to see your update soon. I have to go to college and then I would miss it. Please update soon 😭

Doodhs, Anna and Pam wonderful analysis as usual. Doodhs loved your take on the Pyramid thing , Anna loved the significances you put in and I agree that Barun needs to stop stripping now, its indeed difficult to watch. Love the positive tone in your analysis. Pam loved your description of Khushi and Arnav. Khushi has definitely towed the line this time and Arnav will soon blast her off and maybe then we can see the truth coming out.
Ankifan, loved your pointers as well. Great scoop into the episode you guys!

Doods! 🤗 Fantastic analysis as always. Loved loved how you compared today's dining table scene with the past scene of Shyam bringing chaat for the family. Brilliant comparison depicting the perfect dissimilarities between Arnav and Shyam. Trust you to make that connection...😃 Thank you for explaining the difference between symbolism and metaphor so wonderfully. Couldn't agree with you more. I personally feel that symbolism so derived from a scene or dialogue is more subjective in nature rather than being objective and at the end of the day they are based on one's perception, which may or may not necessarily be what is being depicted. A lot of times these symbolism seem unrealistic in the sense that I cannot fathom that much excessive amount of thought process put into a scene/dialogue by the CVs.

Tanthya, will be waiting to read your analysis...😊

ClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClap Congrats!!!!

Now, the most debatable topic ever - Metaphor v/s Symbolism.

[NOQUOTE]

Thanks for explaining this to me Doods... I get confused when you mention Metaphor but not symbolism...
until you mentioned I never realised that we were relating to symbolism in the wrong way... Isnt symbolism all about symbols.. (I was reminded of Dan Brown's novels- the only boks I read about symbolisms) probably what we are seeing and relating to in the show can be termed as hints?
I loved your analysis.. I havent seen the earlier episodes... So I could'nt relate to where shyam got them chat... But yeah... going by your thoughts.. Shyam tried to please them.. ASR whereas didnt try to please them, He let them discover his world, where they have never ventured into. Whether they were pleased or not, they were definetely moved by this gesture!

I remember he only took into consideration the likes of Khushi and not others, especially Payal. That day he said - "Hum aap ki pasand jaan te hain Khuhiji". As I mentioned earlier he had the charms to please everyone and one therapy that to please one he takes into consideration their likings and disliking; their comfort zone. He wanted to please them in their way and not his way. He entered in to their territory but didn't bring them into his territory.

The exact opposite was ASR today. ASR didn't forcefully want to enter into the Guptas' territory but he allowed them to enter into his "TERRITORY". We witnessed how ASR took into consideration the likes of each family member into account while ordering the food. Healthy soup for Bauji, Spicy pasta for Khushi, macaroni with mild sauce (yup, white sauce is generally mild; it's either Bchamel or Alfredo or Mac n cheese) for Buaji and Fusili for Garimaji. Yeah these foods were new to them but that is what ASR all about. He never purposefully tries to please anyone and also expects if anyone wants to love him or accept him, then they have to first understand him like the way he never forced Khushi to change for him or he purposefully entered Khushi's territory before loving her. He reminded me of the above dialogue from Mohabbatein and here lies the difference between ASR and Shyaam.

This scene was subtle and it showed the "Big Heart" that the Guptas have and also at the same time it forwarded a step ahead in the direction of Shyaam v/s ASR and the Guptas got a glimpse of what exactly ASR is made of. I have always mentioned he has a presence of mind and opportunist but at the same time his heart is "Pure". Just that Khushi and the Guptas' need to figure out and which is going to happen at the end of the track.

very nicely put.. doods...brilliant.

Class...And mass……….

Is arnav so much of conscious of class?

This thing was nagging in the back of mind ever since khushi's expedition to GH begin. So thought of writing on this.

1. If, yes he wud not have loved khushi

2. He would not have allowed akash marriage to payal

3. He would not have sympathized with the small girl in the temple.

4. He would not have been modest to Guptas.

His standard of living is different than khushi's. Khushi has to go a long way to understand arnav.

That one scene at the dining table is enough to show the difference in his level of maturity and her level of understanding…amazingly done….he was always respectful towards elders, modest with all except khushi…of course why not? given the credit to her ways of barging into his life…. So he talks of class to her…. Does it justify her actions?…..nooo…

though khushi's act was annoying, bathing scene I liked for one reason…the goodness in the middleclass neighbourhood …simple, loving...there for each other….how nicely it is put by the invitation given by the neighbor for the breakfast.

Damn ..network is getting failed to connect…..

Doodhs 🤗
Wonderful analysis as usual! Just brilliant! 👏 👏 Loved the Arnav ordering food and Shyam and Khushi's chaat scene and its metaphoric explanation. Also I loved the explanation of the water scene and how - Harvard was mentioned and not IIM and that Arnav needs to realize the difference between the Indian culture and the Western culture.
Also I finally got to know why you do not go into Symolisms but into metaphoric analysis 😛 Agree on each and every word here. Symbolisms are an individuals own perception of what they would like to see and how they percieve what a scene is. They do not make sense most of the time (which I myself wonder when I write my analysis and think - Did the writers think like this 😆) Nevertheless, they do give a ray of hope if nothing else.😛
Pam 🤗
Finally got your analysis! Have missed you! Loved your analysis and the hope and fear part. Both Arnav and Khushi have been so well explained that I do not think I should say anything. Just FAB! 👏 👏
