Is arnav so much of conscious of class?
This thing was nagging in the back of mind ever since khushi's expedition to GH begin. So thought of writing on this.
1. If, yes he wud not have loved khushi
2. He would not have allowed akash marriage to payal
3. He would not have sympathized with the small girl in the temple.
4. He would not have been modest to Guptas.
His standard of living is different than khushi's. Khushi has to go a long way to understand arnav.
That one scene at the dining table is enough to show the difference in his level of maturity and her level of understanding'amazingly done'.he was always respectful towards elders, modest with all except khushi'of course why not? given the credit to her ways of barging into his life'. So he talks of class to her'. Does it justify her actions?'..nooo'
though khushi's act was annoying, bathing scene I liked for one reason'the goodness in the middleclass neighbourhood 'simple, loving...there for each other'.how nicely it is put by the invitation given by the neighbor for the breakfast.

Payasa, you are right in the points but what you are not thinking here is there is a difference in "Humanity" or rather "not bothered" of some class v/s "living like one".
Understand in all the above pints you mentioned, ASR didn't consider him to be in that position as he didn't feel the urge to or need to. As a sake of humanity / understanding he didn't interfere in anything... to him being poor is not a sin and also poor people are not bad. what he never liked i "Nosey" Khushi and he never tried to figure out why she is nosey as it was not needed at all.
But when he actually is getting to live this life, he will understand the hurdles these people are going thru. Until and unless he lives their life how will he be good judge here??? He cannot.
Always get this, a Boss of a company helps his subordinates but tell him/her to actually be a one among them, they will HESITATE. Here is the psychological difference.
