Ah! The headache is back a bit, but what the hey! Lemme get some coffee and get going. What would not get done today, it'll get done tomorrow.
Progress Points
1. Arnav gets the first taste of his in-laws; though as yet he is not seeing how hard they are trying to please him; he's too overwhelmed
2. Arnav-Khushi: trust and bond
3. Shyam gets the soap back; he's back in business apparently
Favorite Scene
The First Few Steps
1. Arnav is having a series of divine ('Holy --!') moments after reaching GH.
I doubt the poor chap thought this far when he pulled Khushi off the Payash wedding and married her in a matter of 2 seconds, that implication would be as life-altering as it is turning out to be.
It was more a matter of keeping Khushi in check rather than getting himself checked into his newly found Sasuraal.
2. The Rangoli Hop was cute. Khushi showed him the way and Arnav trusted enough to follow, even though he got taken for a 'dance'!
3. LOVED Arnav's expression when Buaji attempted to hug him.
4. Khushi Arnav was receiving the prasad from someone other than his Di and Nani for a change. But no.. Diabetes! LOVED the way she took it away from him and had the whole sweet in one go herself.
Her motto seems clear - Arnav gets only tricks, no treats!
5. LOVED that when Garima blessed the two for a happy life, Arnav received the blessings with thanks.
Fandom: Wow, Arnav! You looking forward to a happy life with Khushi, are you!
6. I had been wondering if Arnav would be able to see a mother in Garima, it seems it'll take time for him to call her Amma. He misses his mom and the only other person equivalent to mom is Di. So, MIL does not yet feature as Amma, she is Aunty.
Though, on a side note, 'Aunty' sounds funny coming from Arnav. The proper ASR might've called her Mrs. Gupta.
7. LOVED the concern the Guptas showered at the Jamaai Babu.
If Arnav hadn't been so overwhelmed, he's a good enough kid to appreciate things done in his honor.
8. LOVED how Arnav asked about Khushi's Dad.
The poor chap looking caught in an alien planet tried to make small talks.
Arnav: Me Arnav. You okay?
Alien Dad: *Nods*
Arnav: *thinks* That went well. Didn't get too far though!
9. LOVED the Guptas. How excited they were and so concerned for Arnav's comfort.
LOVED the cooler episode. If the cooler can't come, we'd drag the dining table. The ladies moved the earth, and the men looked on helplessly.
When Buaji presented her idea, Khushi was ALL for it. She SO knew this would make Arnav even more uncomfortable.
10. Then, came the hiccups.
Run around, get water, but don't give it to him till someone rushes to get some sugar.
He manages to drink some water, but no relief.
Then comes a list of names who may be missing Arnav, and it starts from Nani and ends with her pet.
LOVED how Khushi went: Who's missing you? I'm right here.
LOVED Arnav's expression: Yeah, right!
Usually, the person suffering from hiccups needs to be shocked for it to stop.
Poor Arnav! It must have been a shock - the very thought of Laxmi missing him. It worked. Hiccups stopped.
Returning the Favor
In a way, Khushi is returning the favor albeit in a much smaller dose.
Arnav restricted Khushi to RM for 6 months.
Khushi has restricted Arnav to GH for 8 days.
Arnav limited Khushi's liberty by a set of rules he defined.
Arnav is now himself limited by bounds of Khushi's ploy.
Khushi was to live a life according to Arnav's household.
Arnav is now living according to Khushi's household.
Khushi had to dance around to Arnav's will; he actually told her that she'd do exactly as he would say.
Arnav literally danced to Khushi's directions.
Khushi was dependant on Arnav for everything she needed.
Arnav is going to be dependent on Khushi for even basic things, like getting across to the family.
The Rangoli Hop
It was a matter of a hop 'n a skip for Khushi to jump across the Rangoli. For Arnav, it was a balancing act.
1. Arnav Giving In
Arnav could have easily walked across the Rangoli, of course, destroying it in the process. If he was to keep it as it was, Arnav would need to carefully follow Khushi's direction. Actually, Arnav at a different time, may have actually either walked across it, or gone back to RM. No one can make him do things he does not willingly give in to. For some reason, he is allowing this.
What was interesting was that Arnav realizes that this is a new and unfamiliar environment for him and he is relying on Khushi to show him the way.
2. Khushi Getting Out
Khushi got out the problem before Arnav even began. She just didn't go out herself and leave him stranded to make a fool of himself. She showed him the way out. Arnav had to follow Khushi's direction to get out of the mess.
3. Balancing the Burden
Khushi was going to get the bags from the car, but Arnav took over the heavier ones.
Khushi does not mind burdens, but Arnav takes it upon himself willingly to help his loved ones.
Khushi carried her light weight and jumped across the Rangoli pattern. Arnav had heavy bags, the steps were uncertain, and getting across was a balancing act. Because his bags were heavy, the few steps were harder than might have been had he been empty handed.
Khushi's way to resolve even complex issues is simple. She sees the way out and goes at it. Arnav likes to deliberate, be sure and strategize his way out of a problem. He doesn't mind advice and follows it too where he is not an expert. [Something that was shown in his office too in the episode on 16th April, 2012, he told the people in the meeting that he had a strategy, but he'd like their inputs.]
3. Note to CVs
The CVs have done a great job of showing small instances where Arnav had begun to trust Khushi while they were still in RM. This paved the way for Arnav to come to GH, where he would need to trust Khushi. The cement is holding the bricks together. If it had not been for those small moments of budding trust, Arnav in GH itself would be a laughable concept.
The two promos showed in-between the last few weeks though Khushi's thought process for her current actions – One, regarding the change in her tactics, and two, regarding Khushi not letting Arnav force her to play the marriage act.
For those of the Fandom who question every move the CVs make, this is a nice little lesson. Trust 'em! They are not called 'Creatives' without a reason. Even if everything may not 'look' usable at the moment, most of the stuff is not junk (though, some of it might be, but then which household is clutter-free!). It is a proverb of and for the wise - Do not despise the day of small beginnings.
4. Bonding Deeper
Even though, consciously Khushi is operating from her desire to irk Arnav (as shown in the promos); she cannot but help care for him on a deeper, sub-conscious level.
Again, interestingly even though on a superficial level, Arnav is getting irritated, he is not missing the deeper vibes his wife is sending his way.
The two have always felt something connecting them far deeper than they care to acknowledge. Their bonding is not from outside-inwards, but from inside out - these bonds are usually way stronger than they seem; they are almost unbreakable.
5. Trust and Bond
Khushi gives Arnav the best directions, mostly, to help him across and save the pretty picture; but then on one occasion, she used to opportunity to make him dance as well. Arnav followed Khushi to a T, understanding that he needs to get across and not mess the Rangoli for the sake of the family who made it in his honor, and in the process got slightly duped. Though, again he let it go.
Khushi is also mostly tagging along with Arnav's need to have her with him, helping him do whatever he needs to do. Slowly she has gained enough trust that Arnav has started believing her. She loved the fact that he listened to her, and followed her even if he did not immediately see the relevance of her words.
Arnav's Bond:
Though Arnav has started believing her, in the process, he knows he would sometimes get tricked, but he is letting that go. This is deeper than it looks. Does it mean that Arnav, sub-consciously, feels that if Khushi ever tricks anyone, it cannot be a life-threatening situation; it'd be something mild and naughty, worth a laugh. It is on the same lines as trusting Khushi that she won't steal money from him, even though outwardly, he's always called her a gold-digger.
It seems state that though Arnav talks of her as a gold-digger and currently thinks of her as a cheat and a house-breaker, somewhere, he does not really believe her to be so. His mind and his heart have begun to clash. It was clearly visible on Holi what he actually thought of Khushi - his heart beats for her. Had he actually believed all that he speaks and even thinks of her, the first thing out of his mouth after the Bhang incident would have been that he hated her and she wasn't worth love and trust at all. But it wasn't - what he said was that in his eyes, she was beautiful!
6. Two steps more of following Khushi's advice and Khushi offers him help. Arnav receives.
Ah, the joy of knowing you can trust someone. Even though Arnav was tricked just one step back, he didn't take minute to accept her offer of taking her hand to clear through to the door.
Arnav had two bags - his own and Khushi's - in one hand and the other hand he reached out to Khushi.
Khushi's Bond:
Khushi held onto his hand with both her hands. She kept him from falling, which he would have done at that crucial stage when he was in-between steps. He still did not have a solid foothold, his burdens were still on him, had he fallen it would be way embarrassing. Khushi did not let his hand go.
This makes one question Khushi's motives. Had she really wanted to look him down, she had a great chance. What is she aiming at? Does she really believe he is a monster? Doesn't look like it. Though she has been through a deep deep hurt that he caused her, she does not really think he is a beast. She calls him a beast, but in her heart he is the prince.
Her true feelings were known on the Holi day after the Bhang episode. Had she been really been believing along the lines of being married to a beast, she'd hardly have questioned him about her heartbeat. Khushi is aware of the two aspects of Arnav - the one her mind believes, and the one her heart yearns for.
7. Every Road Leads to Rabba-vey
It may be a smooth drive or jumping act - they still end up with the Rabba-vey.
They still end up together hand-in-hand - confused about their feelings.
This is one of the few moments when Rabba-vey began with Khushi - she felt it first, Arnav caught on when she looked a lost (in the traditional Rabba-vey fashion).
I loved that Arnav did not look away from Khushi, but kept on looking at her even when she felt uncomfortable. Usually, he suffers the Rabba-vey longer than she does, but this time his expression wasn't exactly as though he was lost in the moment. Perhaps, it was just me.
Even though, to begin with, he skipped a heartbeat and the wind blew his hair, but later it seemed as though he was trying to see her thru, as though to gauge her - was her concern real, was she really doing this just to irk him, what was it that he saw in her eyes.
We're Back in Business
Ah! So the creep tricks the child to get his soapy soap back. The child adamant at first, believes the creep and gets tricked.
Others
1. HP needs to take some solid vitamins. I mean the child was there only moments before and he had to think hard to recollect.
2. Payal needs to stop giving help where not asked. First it was Mami Jaan and now it's Bubbly.
3. LOVED the Guptas.
4. Shashi looks better than before. And it seems as if he's slowly turning his radar on Arnav Singh Raizada, who is yet unaware of the 007 traits of his Father-in-law. The man has almost upset Shyam's plans before he fell prey.
Precap
Unnatural fear has come upon Arnav's MILs. These are the first MILs who are scared of their son-in-law. Usually, sons-in-law are held in sway by the MILs.
