I don't know, I never believed Shyam and his lust. Shyam himself has clarified it. Khushi is his pyar and anjali is his money. Since Shyam met Khushi, there is a battle of his obsession for khushi and his greed for money. He decided to keep both and his entire villain-ism emanates from that decision. His love for khushi is not strong enough to get rid of anjali and her money to get the love. His love for khushi is not weak enough to let it go. This balance is the key to his villain-ism. I liked this since beginning.😊. The moment the balance topples, there is no villain.

And if it is lust factor, there is no choice to be made or there is no balance needed. While staying as PG, he had enough chances to make use of that situations! He did not. He was hell bend on marrying her. It is about making khushi his forever. After arhi marriage, he did not act untill he got the truth from khushi on holi. If it is lust, the 'why' of arhi marriage should not have made any effect on Shyam.

Somehow Khushi's confusion about arnavis plays a big role in Shyam-Khushi equation. Khushi was never sure about the her heart and that vibes do reach Shyam. If on holi day, khushi had declared her love for arnav to shyam, then I believe the story would have been different, may be. He is not a mere skirt chaser yaar, he is a well cut out villain and my fav 😉.
