I always thought the file had something to do with Khushi, like maybe a financial settlement after the 6 months, which will reveal to Shyam about the 6 month contract.

well before the maha episode we'll see Arnav loosing his money and property and the business and he will be facing financial difficulties (some connection wid the file ;) :P)

well khushi will not leave arnav in his tough times and that will to some extent make arnav realise that he mite me wrong in interpreting khushi...as she will support him in his crisis...
