Ok the good, nope the best. Arnav tells Khushi he faked the whole thing, Khushi reaction ….DISBELIEVE!!! Beautifully executed by Barun (brimming confidence, and smugness) and Sanaya (shocked, bewildered, completely not understanding). But what really got me here was the beauty with which Khushi's utter shock was demonstrated the tray in her hand slacked. BEAUTIFUL!!! I got just how unaware Khushi was about what was coming out of Arnav's mouth. This an example of the treatment done right.
Now for the bad, Khushi falls asleep standing up and starts snoring…. REALLY??? Who thought this was funny? Are we going after the under 10 segment again because I assure you even they will expect more sophistication. Couldn't you show her making the tea and dozing off and Anjali walking in with Payal??? Why must you do this to her? Now I just think you guys are misusing Sanaya and her talent.
I cannot believe these two scenes occurred in the same show. Iss pagalpan kya naam doon??
And for the, can't believe this is happening: Khushi believes Arnav's lies and starts the Swami drama again.

A few days ago Arnav lost his voice and Khushi heard him call out to her in absolute silence. Yesterday, she instinctively knew he hadn't taken his medication. DIL KA KONNECTION you say, but she cannot tell when he is lying to her? Kya hua, line vaist hai kya??? (lines are busy)
He has lied to her before, after the Diwali almost kiss comes to mind (many others but this one especially). Here he tells her he feels nothing for her. This lie involves two parties HIM and HER. His feelings not those of his family, not the emotions of his pregnant, freaks out easily, must be protected at all times DI. See what I'm getting at. The last time he fainted he told Khushi please don't tell Di she worry. And this time he fainted to punish Khushi and got his whole family worried about him???
Point 2: the might ASR would not show weakness for a second, he likes to intimidate his opponents not submit to them. Even if he did want his pound of flesh from you his scheme would involve making you helpless not himself, NEVER HIMSELF!!! At least not to the extent that Akash had to help him.
So we have her talking to her planning partner Laxmi( don't even get me started here), we get a monologue of Khushi talking to herself. But instead of analyzing everything she takes Arnav words at face value. WHY!!! If anything she should know by now that Arnav has more layers than an onion. And instead on concentrating on this one action she should be concentrating on the big picture. Why is she not connecting the dots, and I hope the reason is better than IPL.
What she realizes is that her pativrata act is mighty successful, so she has decided to continue it. (HUH, did you feel that, hell just froze)
Ok I'm just going to come out and say it. Khushi knows or knew Arnav felt something for her, and her for him. Did she or did she not pick the sari that he wanted instead of that that NK liked, she knew what she was doing? Next Beauty and the Beast, she knows that the Beast and the Prince is one and the same person, so why does she not want to investigate Arnav's bipolar nature??? Why did the love suddenly change to so much hate. Because the love was there, in the teri meri sequence they went over each of their significant meetings understanding where they came from and where they were going. So I'll ask you again why the short term memory loss every single day.
Here is why it is important for me to identify with Khushi, she is supposed to be relatable. She works hard, but she isn't anyone's slave, she has honour, self-respect and knows how to earn the love of the people around her. (Remember Shuklaji, her dubba business partner). But I do not understand her anymore. This purposeful amnesia is butchering Khushi for me.
Now I'll shift to what I loved:
Anjali and Arnav:
How I loved this scene. Anjali saw right through his act. In fact, he himself was kind of shocked of what he had done because he wanted to spare Khushi's feelings. He knew she would feel terribly guilty and hurt herself trying to make up for it. And he wanted to save her for that pain. Anjali, beautifully pointed out to him, she sees his love. He know he loves Khushi inspite of the MU. We heard the lines that came out of his mouth in the Ranja scene didn't we. But it was nice for Arnav to know his Di also knows that there is love in his heart for Khushi. So Arnav knows he still loves Khushi, no more proof needed after today. Loved how the past was brought up and linked to the present. Yes the siblings have a past, it was a good reminder that there is this sub-plot that will come out when the MU settles.
OMG did I see SHYAM!!! (Jumps up and down)
If anyone is only reading the thread and have never seen the show before they would think Shyam was the hero. Who knew I would rejoice to see the villain. Oh a week later and he still trying to get the key and the file. Arnav could not have moved it to a more secure location???
Also, I would love to know why Shyam hasn't reacted to Khushi's dubba business and tuition classes. He would have definitely not liked the idea tried to stop it even. Look at me, I sound like a Shyam fan, what have you done to me CV's
Akash, Payal, & Miss B:
I have always liked Akash and Payal equations. Where Arnav and Khushi are like a wild sea raging in a storm, Akash and Payal are like still water, both beautiful in their own way. I love the contrast between the couples often shown when they have scenes together.
The right use of RABBA VEY:
Man when this tune is used correctly like it was today it tugs right at your heart. Beautiful haunting melody that is totally Arnav and Khushi.
And Finally,
Advice for the CV's
1. The elephant in the room, or the sword hanging over everyone's head or the misunderstanding, whatever you want to call it. I know you are building a track for Arnav's repentance, but the misunderstand right now is the building block of this relationship, Arnav knows about Shyam and Khushi, and Khushi has no idea about why Arnav changed so swiftly, there should be a mention of this in every episode. Yes I said every episode! You should be able to build whatever story around it.
2. GET A GRIP ON KHUSHI'S CHARACTER: Why is she doing what she is doing? Why I she not sitting down and looking at the whole picture? What made Arnav who himself apologize to Payal for breaking her wedding, now threaten her marriage twice. Why only 6 mths marriage to Khushi? Why is she annoying Arnav? What does she thinks she will achieve? Yes I know Khushi needs to understand that she still loves Arnav but please do not take the annoying route. PLEASE!!!
3. Shyam (Seriously I'm not a fan of the character): He is a very important piece of the puzzle, why hasn't he used the information he got on Holi? And more importantly, how is he going to use the information to get to Khushi? Arnav? The guptas? Who? What are his plans? Before we saw him lay out elaborate plans? Now we don't see him doing the same (actually we don't see him period)? Well, we started to, he told Arnav he is changing and then we saw him holding Khushi's hand in front of Arnav? So what are his plans again? Does he want to abandon Anjali and her baby but how can he if he is dependent on Arnav financially?
4. STYLIST now for Barun and Sanaya, though Sanaya in a red garbage bag would look fantastic, she needs new clothes not just the same outfit in 4 colours. And Barun, what is up with that hair??? Please look at the Diwali look and get that hair cut. PLEASE!!!
5. Ok the last piece of advice and the most important. I come to this REDUX thread to understand the underlying layers of the episode, I should not have to!!! At this junction, I watch an episode which I think is ok, come to this thread and realize all that was implied and think OMG it was a damn good episode. Now how many of your viewers will invest in coming on IF or other sites to discuss episodes??? What can you do about it……more monologues is just one thing (without Laxmi would be nice), so we better understand what is going on in the heads of the characters, yes you have a fantastic cast, but you have a tangled web of lies and sometimes (more than necessary) I have no idea what is motivating these characters to act in a certain way.
@Doods: Wow, after reading your analysis it is like we are talking about two different episodes all together. Like you said yesterday, I am not a very creative person, I don't or never have analyzed a layered show like this one. I prefer detective shows where you are concentrating on finding the guilty party. Therefore from my analysis you could understand that I am not happy with Khushi's portrayal, but after reading your post I understand what is going on a little more. But like I said yesterday, I have this thread others will be frustrated and leave. And finally you should be called Guru Doods from now on.

@Anna: I am kind of upset that they are taking the juvenile route of pativrataness for Khushi, but I guess it is important for her to mistrust Arnav and for him to understand where she is coming from. Again they are going to be opposite sides of the spectrum. Here to I did not get it until I read this thread. Thank you
REDUXIANS it was absolutely lovely writing here. A place to better understand what the hell was going on in the show, enlightenment from the guru's here (Doods, Tant, Anna, Pam, sea.nymh and the rest) and the various points of view. I loved it all. However, I have decided to take a break from the show, no I am not giving up on IPKKND, I know I'll catch up again, but for now it is au revoir, I had the best time here.
