I think I know who you all are talking about.

When I read her work for the first time, I seriously had doubts with the language she had used in her FF's. I mean it sounded like some professional writer. I immediately went and checked her profile and I remember her mentioning that she's still in school. And I was like OH! A school going kid has such good language and vocab.😆

I actually felt ashamed of myself.😆

But then I got suspicious and immediately stopped reading her work.😆

Gah!!!! it makes me want to scream! i have defriended the person in question and am fearful of what she "may" have copied of mine! This is serious! it's not just a "sweet sharing" of someone else's work...this is PLAGARISM! Forgery! Stealing! and a whole heap of other 'ISMs' that i can't think of!

I know right??!! The language she used would be so. . . . How do I put it??? Polished!! 😛

She didn't have one single rough edge!! And I used to think kids are so good these days!! 😕

exactly.. if she has copied someone's work here she can always copy our work elsewhere... n we wont even know about it

i am in support of the writers the one who stayed up for hours thinking spacing dreaming creating and living their stories plagiarizer hurt it take a person work from them it takes away their creativity so lyra asumi and harsh add me to your list one of my friends wrote a beautifully ff on abhay and pia and her story was ripped of and paste as arnav and khushi and after the reading it i myself reported it and my fried was very hurt so i do not support

I cannot agree more with what everyone has said.

Writing takes time, effort, energy and is occasionalyl emotionally draining. So when you copy somebody else's work and claim it as your own you're hurting them on so many levels.

Seirously, how can you derive pleasure from stolen work though? Where's the sense of satisfaction in reading nice comments about somebody else's work?

Apparently this is nothing new:

Beautiful Stranger was also copied from Dark Dove's Scars of Love and then closed for plagiarism.

sorry dear this is totally out of topic of sorts for me coz am not a writer. but recenetly i am reading many writers complaining abt the issue. that there writings are being posted in other forums. or copy from other forums and post it here..

how pathetic of those ppl. only so that ppl can give them recognition they are trying to steal someone else's individuality.

i suggest if u find anything that is plagiarized just report to the mods so that the particular member will be banned from that forum.

Its shocking and at the same time shameful act. M nt following these FFs but if u r copying that story frm smwhere else then do mention it, that doest mean copy is good:D
my point is u shud give proper credit to that person
yesterday only i got one pm, its frm one newbie who joined IF seeing its popuarity but afrt reading sm copied work she told me frm where these r copied, and asked me that is this a reason u ppl loves IF.that person is frm other forum. And i cudnt give proper answer:(
i still rember shuhedas work was copied to another forum and how much hurt she was. I think same goes with that original writers.:)

to ppl who try to copy stories , if u cant write of ur own then b a reader and encourage and appriciate others work.

Dear me! This is the first time I checked out that plagiarism thread...and found there were so many people out there copying stuff. Well, people have said what needs to be said about plagiarism on this thread. I don't want to heap more coals of fire on anyone's head. On IF, the consequences of plagiarism are minimal because the gains are minimal too...no money involved. In the real world, this is serious business. There are consequences. Not the least of which is the public shaming you will be subjected to.

Also, it is very easy to carry forward this kind of blase attitude into other walks of life as well. If you can plagiarize a story on an online forum (like seriously, why?) then you are more than likely to make such mistakes in your career as well. It's just bad practice, and it can effectively destroy your career.

So, really...it's a no-win situation. Don't do it. It hurts others, and (since you are obviously slightly self-obsessed!), it will come back to hurt you as well!
