-UpdatedAm I the only one who wasn't crazy about today?I think the only scene that I actually enjoyed was the one in the green room. It was the only one where I felt that Arnav and Khushi's actions were following the current track.I'm just going to put my gripes in point notation. Today's episode didn't really inspire me much.- I have a major complaint against the direction. First of all, where was Abhaas today? His reactions during the Heer-Ranjha act stuck out like a sore thumb. For a man who is insanely infatuated with Khushi, he seemed almost bored. When he should have been angry he seemed disinterested. When he should have been annoyed he seemed bored. Seriously, was the director asleep when he was shooting these scenes? At least mammaji stayed true to form as when one of the hecklers had made a comment you see him making an attempt to move towards him - as if trying to signal his disapproval.- As much as I enjoy the IPKKND title track, it felt oddly placed during the Heer Ranjha dialogues. What should have been a serious scene, felt almost hokey with the cheery music in the background. The editors really need to take note of the scene that is being portrayed prior to choosing the corresponding music for it.- Tanthya - I am in complete agreement with you about BS' acting during the opening Ranjha scene and the dialogues. I know that Arnav and Khushi were supposed to voice their true feelings for each other during this scenario, but I just couldn't follow along with what was being portrayed on screen.I felt as if BS should have been more annoyed to be on stage when he first approaches Khushi. Even if I read Arnav's characterization incorrectly, and the CV's wanted to portray him as eager to help Khushi - the way he walks to the side when Khushi starts speaking as Heer was just odd. It made me lose the intensity of the dialogues.Onto the dialogues, I just felt they were weak overall. Yes, Arnav had some good lines, and for him I thought that Arnav was truly voicing his feelings. But seriously, what made Arnav voice his feelings? Did he really feel as if he had lost Khushi? I don't know - I didn't really connect with Khushi's dialogue so Arnav's reaction felt a bit forced. As for Khushi, as I said her dialogue just seemed too saccharine for my liking.I may be a lone party here but I actually enjoyed her sarcastic comment about her dying. I hated the music in the background. I felt the dialogue should have been portrayed as intense. Khushi truly believes that Arnav doesn't care about her...and that's why she felt he would celebrate her demise. They always say that there is truth to sarcasm. My favourite part of the scenes was Khushi's lone tear when she was wearing Arnav speak initially. It was almost as if she was crying because she felt that she would never get that kind of love from him. She was crying for her own broken heart...for her own unrequited love. Additionally, having SI's eyes moving under her lashes was a brilliant touch by the director as it showed that she was absorbing Arnav's words and trying to understand if he was speaking to the audience or her. Loved it.Similarly, I loved how it was Arnav that broke the eye contact with Khushi at this time. When their eyes opened after the performance, and Khushi was trying to read Arnav's thoughts through his eyes you can see Arnav break eye contact. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul - and Arnav is scared to death that Khushi will realize that she has become ingrained into every part of his. These both run at every moment they feel that the other is going to become aware of their true feelings. Neither is aware of how the other feels, and both are afraid of putting their hearts on the line and getting it broken as a result. Now onto the part which I loved the most...and what I felt was most in character for Arnav and Khushi at this time - the green room scene. I won't go into too much analysis of the scene as it really does speak for itself, but here are a few points that I loved.- When Khushi gently caresses Arnav's hand in order to open his grasp on her earring. It is a featherlight touch that shows her unsureness of his feelings. It is almost as if she is trying to caress that elusive butterfly which she has been trying to catch, and the moment she goes to touch it - to see that it really has rested on her hand...it flies away. The entire dialogue reminded me of the Diwali scenes as again Khushi was confronting Arnav about his feelings, and again Arnav was running scared.Khushi has truly embraced her role as Arnav's wife. She has begun to make demands on her husband, as just like he gets angry when she walks away - the same applies to him. What's good for the goose is goose is good for the gander. Her frustration is palpable as she is sick and tired of Arnav being unable to voice his feelings while expecting her to keep her heart on her sleeve. In terms of the pre-cap. I am going to wait and see how it plays out, as it may just be editing which causes Khushi to voice those lines. But then again, this is Khushi. She knows exactly how to rile Arnav up, and nothing works better than reverse psychology. He said it was an act? Fine. Let it be an act.I'm more excited about tomorrow than I was about today. For me, the last scene was the only saving grace for the episode. The majority of today felt too saccharine for the point that we are at in the storyline right now. The CV's really need to work on building the proper foundation for character perspectives. It is becoming painfully evident that they really do write on a day to day basis.I've felt this way only once - when Arnav suddenly dropped the "koi farak nahin pardta" after his engagement was announced. I had no idea what Arnav was thinking up until NK arrived, because aside from a few random scenes I just couldn't understand how he went from being so incredibly angry to being seemingly okay with Khushi's engagement. But that's a complaint for another day.I really hope the CV's pick up their bootstraps and start focusing on writing this story LONG-TERM, because I am sick and tired of watching stories on a day to day basis. I should be able to understand character POV's based on events on weeks passed. That is good storytelling, and that is what is severely missing.I have always wondered if Khushi remembered the Holi confession. If you watch Sanaya closely during those scenes, the moment Arnav said he doesn't remember - Khushi immediately denies remembering as well. But she doesn't make eye contact while doing so. I know logically it wouldn't make sense for Khushi to remember the confession but not telling Shyam the truth - but I've stopped expecting logic from these CV's lol.
I also didn't enjoy today's episode except the last part of the Heer-Ranjha act and the green room scene. Honestly, my first mental reaction after the episode ended was "ab kisi cheez ka koi matlab nahin hain" and I just wanted to jump out of the window out of sheer frustration.
First, Heer's portion of the act lacked conviction and when she started "jiski bansuri ki dhun se hume jawan hone ka eksaas hua", for a second I thought ASR would think that she is referring to Shyam. Don't know whether to thank CVs for that or not! At least if he would have misunderstood, there would have been some reaction from him. ASR looked quite blank in the initial part of the act (though may have been intentional since he had no clue about what to do).
Second, didn't understand why Shyam was conspicuously not shown when the camera was repeatedly zooming on Anjali, Mamaji and Akash's reaction during Ranjha's dialogues? The only times he was shown, he clearly seemed disinterested in what was happening on the stage. I remember during Teri-Meri and the chudiyaan scenes, there were many close shots which showed his frustration and anger at the blossoming attraction between the leads. Is he no longer interested in Khushi and the only thing which matters is Anjali's wealth?

Tant, wonderful explanation on this "regular" yet "memorable" episode. Yeah, today's episode didn't have any spectacular progress in the storyline but yet it touched us. Barun Sobti was not in form at all but yet he managed to deliver the dialogues only and there was no traits of ASR except in the green room. The other characters were present and seemed they had not much power in them yet we liked the episode. An episode, that made me realize why in the first place I am sticking to watch the show till now. As usual I loved your analysis and as usual it's TANTASTIC. 👏 👏 👏
"No weapon formed against us can prosper" ~ Biblical Verse
Now you must be wondering how come I am back. As you all are aware of by now that I wanted to take a sabbatical but I guess my destiny has something else planned. I don't know what that is then again something very serious news came in last night that made me continue to analyze. First and foremost, we came to know that mine and Tant's analysis are getting copied outside IF and been published in other websites. At this juncture I want to clarify that we DO NOTpublish our analysis elsewhere apart from IF and if anyone copies our analysis and pastes in their websites, then we demand be informed beforehand and give us the credits. One more thing that came to my notice is that fans are using my theories and analysis and presenting as their own. The "Triangle" theory, various loops opening and closing, future tracks, 5 elements with metaphoric connection and some more that I designed through my analysis from investing and speculating on a 20min episode daily are being plagiarized. As I give credit to the due authors and movie makers whenever I use their quotes or story, I need you all whoever is using it to prove their analysis to give me and others the due credit. Hence I request, to all the readers and participants of IP Redux, if you see any such incidence then please do inform us or can take corrective measures yourselves. It really hurts when we see that our hard work is being used in this manner. We generally invest around 4 hrs on average daily to analyze each episode - decoding, speculating, building new theories and making connections past and present and then look the future ahead. I know it's tough to control internet plagiarism but if we all come together then we can at least lower the chances of getting plagiarized. So, let's be together and fight this unwanted system.
Since I have not analyzed yesterday, I will club both the episodes in today's analysis. Let me talk to 4 Lions A-gain. You thought you were saved yesterday, right??? Tant was so kindhearted to you but I won't be. I didn't analyze yesterday and that CANNOT stop me from showing you the true picture. The two main important characters that irked me on Monday were Naani and Shyaam. Can you justify why A-gain Naani's character is degrading??? I already mentined she is one of the most important characters in the show and today what Madame Jayashree T could have delivered, she didn't. Why??? It's not that she is not a good actor??? We all know she is good then why the director cannot bring out the best of her??? From the beginning till the end, she was unconvincing and it was purely written on her face that it's a ploy of her to get Arnav and Khushi play Heer-Ranjha. There was no suspense in that or you wanted to show it that way??? Either way, she was not convincing or the direction was PATHETIC. Asking Arnav gimme your keys - I mean grow up CVs??? Do you ever do any research study on the IQ of your demographics??? I never watched any Ekta show but I know that she had the caliber to change the vision the way people used to watch tele series in the 90's. I like your storytelling always but sometimes you just damage your own creation. Now, have you any idea that IPL is knocking at the door??? Oh yeah, I guess you know now. Right??? That's why the sudden rush in the story with the hotch potch of scenes. Am I right??? That's why I always say always "Think Ahead". If you have thought ahead then on the 3rd week of March we wouldn't have witnessed Khushi's OTT acting with "Dhoop Suhana la la la".How Pathetic??? Now you realize that how you have wasted the entire week of Mar 19th -23rd. Next week, after that the first 3 days you took just to correct the damage. This week again you are pressured with IPL knocking on the door and there is no track in place to keep the audience glued to the idiot box. Right??? So, what to do??? Yes, opportunity came in the form of promoting other shows hence let's use that to rush the story line. Wow. I should Bow down my head in front of you.
Look at the work of your main gates here??? Do you have any idea that people pass down the inside information and leak the upcoming story to the hungry janta??? Of course not??? How would you know??? That your people leak the news and after a couple of days they become true as they are aired. Great naa??? You are just saved because 90% of the TRP generating audience has no idea that the news of the serial is leaked through a "VIRUS" called "INTERNET". So, you are good, right??? Now let me show you the other side of the coin on your knowledge deficiency. When the same audience who has no idea of the "Spoilers" will they have any idea of a term called "TRP"??? Hmmm??? Do you ever try to educate them that the TRP is generated in the "first 3mins" of the episode aired and after that it doesn't count??? Ok. That's risky. But on the other hand if they start watching after 3 mins the episode started airing then the TRP doesn't count at all??? Why didn't you use any research agency like "AC Neilson" if you had no idea that in India the ownerships for TV sets ranges within 78-147 per 1000 population??? Majority of the households don't keep multiple TV sets so IPL will be preferred over IPKKND during those days, believe it or not. Even if people won't go to the stadiums they will watch it on TV and discuss everywhere. Have you realized that during IPL the timings of the evening matches will clash with IPK timing??? I guess NO. Otherwise we would not have seen Khushi's "Suhana la la la" song and the pathetic OTT drama combined with the declining story line. Stop thinking thru idiotic scenes and get down to business and start portraying it intelligently. Since when was track on the fancy dress competition been started??? Alongside Khushi "Dabba service" right??? And we get to see that when??? after 2 weeks. WOW. Keep it up. You have no time now at all. So think logically and act accordingly. I don't need to tell you that it's not easy to make a film or a series otherwise every Tom, Dick and Harry would have made a "Masterpiece". It needs proactive thinking and complete dedication.
"I like villains because there's something so attractive about a committed person - they have a plan, an ideology, no matter how twisted. They're motivated" ~ Russell Crowe
Now, coming to my second issue, the character named - "Shyaam Manohar Jha". I am asking 4 Lions directly - What is Villain??? What is the purpose of a Villain??? Why a Villain in necessary in the storyline??? Because Villains are like "Salt" without which the food becomes tasteless. Villains are those gray characters that will help the Hero look more honest, more intelligent, more powerful and more successful. Fortunately you have a villain who is connected to the hero, they together have that emotional effect and they bonded together well in the first face off in Arnav's room. Do you still remember this or completely forgot that by now??? How can any production house just forget that they have only ONE villain and if that villain becomes nonfunctional then how will the story move forward??? Where is the screen space that Shyaam should have??? Just a minute second where he have a monologue that "Wallet kahan rahan hain"??? Doesn't he know that when people go out of the house they take their wallets with them??? This is where you have brought down Shyaam Manohar Jha??? Brain Dead??? I want that Shyaam Manohar Jha who said to Bauji - "Rani Sahiba humari daulat hain aur Khushiji humari pyaar - Hum kisiko nehin chodenge". What happened??? Did you forget your own creation??? No Wonders. You people are so lucky that you have an actor who loves to play a negative character and I am irritated that how in the world you have not yet considered to use this opportunity. Luckily both the villains in IPK are an "Opportunist" and your writers have completely forgotten that??? How convenient??? How can any PH be so unserious? I guess everyone knows who Heath Ledger is. Yes, the "Joker" in "The Dark Knight". That is called a "villain". Today people watch the movie to see Joker and not batman. I will pick an example from today's episode. Gabbar was more famous in Sholay than Thakur right??? That's how a villain is designed and we see our villain gets a micro second to the story that his "Sacred Dhaaga" got stuck in the handle of the closet. WOW. What a scripting??? Where were the expressions of our villain when Arnav and Khushi were playing the skit??? You think I will notice only the skit and not the story??? Am I that predictable like your story??? Where was Shyaam's irritation when Khushi and Arnav were together??? Where was the mental fight between Arnav and Shyaam on Monday's episode??? Where was Shyaam's gloating that he is there for Khushi's performance leaving ASR more and more confused? Then the story would make sense after the Heer-Ranjha skit when Arnav would get contradictory vibes from both Khushi and Shyaam. Where was that Shyaam Manohar Jha whom we saw on wedding night??? Arnav - Shyaam faceoff yesterday, villain is one aspect who steers up the process and brings out the best in the opponent; where is the villain??? I want that Shyaam. Period.
Now let me start with today's episode. When the first time I watched the episode, veils_of_roses asked me how it was; is it "namkeen/meetha/rukhasukha"??? I said "not namkeen/not meetha/not rukhasukha" but it left me thinking with galaxy of loops and options that I had gathered in my brains. Then when I started to pen down the thoughts as usual I watched the episode again and I was trying to make a connection between the loops and options; and my analytic views changed and took a 360 degree turn. The story will move forward tomorrow, but today, it was a "RECAP" of entire 10 months of "Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon" journey in a nutshell. Yes, it was a dedication to the 222 episodes (whatta magical number) till date and Doods is damn happy with 4 Lions. Am I psychotic??? No. I am still angry but this concept I liked though Barun Sobti was not at all in form today except in the green room scene with Khushi. There he was for a micro moment. I guess he is unwell and needs rest so give him that. Sanaya was good though.
Want to see how the entire skit "Heer Ranjha" is been planned and how they have intelligently dedicated the journey of Arnav-Khushi in just 15mins??? Well read me on. All the loops that were open since then, how they all are connected together and weaved into this beautiful skit and the episode. Arnav says "Mujhe ek bhi lines nehin aati hain" and she said "hum shuru karenge aur aap khatam karna". It was spectacular. Beautiful declaration, the future will be Arnav fulfilling it. Well let's see how they started the journey and how it will go on in the future. That was the skit all about. Arnav-Khushi then and Arnav Khushi now.
It was that day when to help Buaji, Khushi entered Raizada Mansion to deliver the sarees by accident and she stumbled at the main door. She stepped in RM with her "right foot" first, which is considered auspicious in Hindu culture. Here also, she was forced to step in to the stage, when the backstage controller pushed her. It was Naani and Anjali for the first who had grown the affection towards this small town honest and innocent girl and because of them time and again Khushi always landed up to Raizada Mansion. When she had quit her job at RM, it was Anjali's idea that Naani supported when she intended to bring Khushi as Lavanya's Trainer. Again, later on after Diwali, it was Naani and Anjali who brought Khushi back to RM. Today also, it was Naani and Anjali's cumulative idea that Khushi and Arnav be Heer and Ranjha in the skit to erase the bitterness between them. Their journey of falling in love started that day with separations and togetherness one after the other and after today also they will walk their journey with separations and togetherness one after the other.
Note:- I cannot post all the pictures for proof so have mentioned the scenes which you all can go back and refer to. 😊
The skit started with Khushi all alone puzzled and frightened on the stage and people mocking her helplessness like the first episode in the fashion show. Khushi remembered DM like she did the first day to save her from humiliation. That day Arnav was with the crowd and humiliated her and today Naani said "did your wife have no importance in your life"??? She bowed down his head with shame as he only knows what he feels and Naani gave him his "running away" option that he is a master of, but he chose to stay back and help. Remember the episode after Anjali-Shyaam's Wedding Anniversary party??? That day Lavanya asked one question to Arnav??? "ASR, aapke ke liye kaun important hain"??? He answered "Di - agar Di khush hain toh sab thik hain aur agar Di khush nehin toh kuch thik nehin". Then Lavanya asked ' "Aur kaun"??? expecting she would hear her name. But, ASR closed his eyes and remembered Khushi and the moment he opened his eyes answered "Nehin, aur koi nehin hain". Today, we saw that, that "Koi nehin" has become "Khushi". Was he vocal again today??? No. But his actions did.
The skit started and Arnav came to help Khushi confirming that Naani wanted so he came. Remember when he brought Khushi back upon Anjali's insistence the same way like today he confirmed Khushi that it's 'coz of Naani and she obliged like the way she understood when Anjali was found in the temple??? Then she started her falling in love with her mirror refection, Arnav like the way Heer sees Ranjha. It was their whole journey with how they bring out the best in eachother. Aren't they the mirror reflection of each other???
This entire segment which I am going to describe is connected with Khushi's engagement to Farak padta hain track to Arnav's realization and Lavanya-Arnav breakup to Arnav's realization about his love for Khushi. Then comes the moment he says ' "Khushi bata dena kab aaya hoga". Then she says - "Aap ke Zindagi ki sabse aachi ghari aayegi, hum mar jayenge". Remember Anajli's dialgoues to Arnav??? "Jab woh tumse dur chale jayenge toh tum jee nehin paoge"??? That moment Arnav remembered Khushi's loud and bold declaration ' "Aap khush ho jaiyee ' hum Lukhnow jaa rahein hain humseha ke liye". Then Anjali said to Arnav ' "agar who tumhein naa mili toh tumhare saanse tuk jayenge". Now, after this Khushi fell down on the ground and Arnav realized for the micro second that he lost her. No, it was not Ranjha but it was ASR. It was then when Arnav realized that he is losing her when he learnt about her engagement and he almost declared that how "it matters to him" and then the ambulance accident scene where he almost lost Khushi. He realized on the middle of the road that how she always existed for him. That's why said '"tumhare bina mera koi wajood nehin hain". Remember his apology to Lavanya where he mistaken her as Khushi ' the same dialogue he repeated here. Then his dialogue ' "I can't live without you proving Anjali's words right' "tumhare bina meri saanse ruk jayengi" and also it resembled the moment he realized that his dhadkan is "Khushi". This moment he almost confessed that he had loves her always like he was about to declare at the terrace. They both had consumed the poison like they did during the wedding and still living it.
Then cometh the last scene. The green room scene and here I won't be angry with 4 Lions as they have redone the same scene earlier but I am glad they changed the treatment. This scene was depicted the same way post Diwali scene was. Exactly. The same. When he picked up the Payal after the Anniversary party, he was falling in love and it was after that scene he realized that Khushi is also important in his life like Anjali. Today he picked up the earring like the Payal and placed it at the same eye level trying to analyze the heartbeats that he is feeling like he did that day. When he returned the "Payal" to Khushi, he adorned it on her "Ankle" that day and today when he placed the earring it became like Khushi's "Maangtika" as today she is his "Wife". What a beautiful capture.
Now cometh the scene at GH post Diwali where upon Khushi questioning he said - "It doesn't mean a thing". Today at the green room he said ' "Don't believe in everything you see" - yeh sab maine naani ke liye kiya". Yes, on the Diwali day he was in trance when he almost laid his heart and then came his reverse psychology and today again when he laid his heart in the stage and upon caught red handed came his reverse psychology.
But the story and the equation moved 10 months ahead and this time Khushi will not be quiet like she did post Diwali and crashed in her comfort zone. Today she threw the earring in frustration for Arnav always run away but the equation has progressed and we are heading towards the truth pretty soon.
As I said the journey of soulmates is not easy and they help each other grow. They don't need any one but eachother. One clue from Khushi will help him connecting the dots and one clue from Arnav will help her connecting the dots, the way Arnav gave her the clue today and she started working towards it. Remember Lavanya said - "tum samajh jaogi...chahe ASR samjhe ya na samjhe".
For as someone said ~ "Soul mates aren't perfect people. They can come into your life and provide polar emotional experiences from intense pain to intense love. Growth comes from both. And a soul mate helps you grow. It isn't just "...and they lived happily ever after" BUT "...and they lived."
PLEASE DO NOT COPY THIS ANALYSIS AND PASTE IT TO OTHER SITES.
@Doods: Absolutely amazing analysis as always! Hopefully, the clues will come soon enough, because patience is running out.Originally posted by: doodleberry
