I personally think SI is actually a better actor than BS (flinches from brickbats) !
Seriously she is just superb but does not get her due just because people in gen seem to appreciate long suffering female characters more. There we absolutely no reason for her to miss out on that award when she enacts a far more complex character than the other female leads
She has had to do emote so many really difficult scene in a brilliant mannerI. It is so hard to do innocent strong wild crazy mad and principled all at the same time without looking unbelievable and a complete fool.
Without her, BS would definitely not have been as outstanding. I absolutely adore BS. He is the kind of young man I would love my son to grow up into and he is brilliantly talented. But to ignore her is criminal

Now to next rant- I don't get these posts that glorify each humiliating act KKG has to enact. Someone came out with all the roles a wife plays from our ancient Hindu texts..to justify everything...last I checked we were in 2012! Could not see any text on husbands role in wifes life! I don't have a problem with ASR behaving badly with her since that is in character but for gods sake don't glorify it and say oh how cute or how loving!!!! He is being a jerk that's all.. It scares me, the kind of convulated justification I see here of the most antiquated orthodox anti humanist values being propounded.If you are traditional and orthodox at least admit it honestly and state your convictions.. There is honour and respect in that .

I loved IPK because it reinforced positive values in tradition.. Now it's just gone.

Darcyfan, you are so right.. There is so much substance to the intial set up they could easily have used those for their extended serial- the past of so many are to be explored

I guess hopes die hard. I am still willing to beguiled just refuse to be held hostage... I would rather get some good nights sleep and catch up on weekends - works great for me
