I am rendered speechless by the sheer destruction of what promised to be an amazing plot. I normally see the Arnav and Khushi love scenes on youtube but over the weekend, I decided to watch the actual episodes starting at number 17. It was the episode where Khushi signs the 1 Lakh agreement with Arnav and he says, 'Aaj yeh office hai, kal se tumhare liye narak hoga.'
I went through 23 after that and believe you me I had an amazing time. Yet, there was a nagging sense of loss and despair as episodes went past. I know what is happening in the current track and I could not relate to what was happening then to what is happening now. The comedy was minimal only limited to Mami's langauge and Khushi's self talks. It was situational and not forced. The characters were complex but real.
Today, all the characters have collectively hit their head against something and have got amnesia. In the past:
- Then, Anjali used to be able to understand her Chote by looking at his eyes and used to reprimand him when he was wrong. Now, it is mindless tears.
- Then, Khushi used to feel restless with or without Arnav. Now, she has him so close to him and I cannot feel the attraction nor the love nor the tension. Am I watching a different show?
- Then, there was a constant reference to Chote being like his father and repeating his mistakes. Now, it's as if Arnav and Anjali's parents did not exist. The flashback from Anjali's wedding has not been shown in ages.
- Then, Anjali used to refer to how Shyam took her hand is extraordinary circumstances. Now, nobody is even referrring to the past. Maybe, because the CV's dont have a past in mind. Probably they want that the death and loss of the parents of the main leads to be comical tooš¤
- Then, Khushi and Arnav had conversations and had brains. Now, they have lost their brains and in turn their ability to converse like adults. Only petty and kiddish fights all the time!!!
- Then, you felt Khushi and Arnav loved each other but were torn. Now, the love story is just not believable. Love is beyond bare torsos, forced Rabba Ve's, silent conversations and hot leads. It is about trust, understanding and unconditonal acceptance of the good with the bad. I dont see any of this here. I saw the development till end of 2011 and then the CV's went to the Bermuda Triangle and lost their minds!!! š”
This PH has the bad habit of leaving loops open so long that they forget to close them. They are doing the same thing now.
IPK is a brand name and has a loyal audience. The only reason the TRP's are up is because the viewers are not giving up hope and love Barun and Sanaya to bits.
That is the reason we are enduring mindless comedy from the creatives who had promised a pathbreaking love story.
Don't take your audience for granted... Since the people who took the TRP's up will be the same people who bring it down.
