IP REDUX : Awakening !!

Before I begin the Episode review ...I would like to say something off episode but I feel relevant... I have been asked by many of my friends whether I don't feel the discontinuity, don't I get that the episodes are disjointed ..To this poser, I will say , YES !! I can see the discontinuity , the patch up job , the use of BD's. I have only one reason for not remarking on this aspect. .. The Production house is young n a tyro ..As such they are cash strapped ...They cannot afford the luxury of re shooting an entire track ... Now Imagine this, PH having already shot for the future episodes when suddenly out of the blues they face a backlash for what they are airing currently ...Unlike other PH, this one quickly swings into damage control mode...The tracks are overhauled and sobered up , new scenes more in keeping with viewer's expectations are created but they don't want to junk the already canned scenes [ production costs aren't cheap] so they begin to use it creatively a few scenes here and there interspersed with new segments but overall keeping in sync with the MU track and if in the process some scenes appear disjointed or a feeling of discontinuity persists ..Then I am willing to turn a blind eye ... * Phew** There I am done with my speech. 😊



How was the Episode..Phenomenal , fantastic no, it was not but I enjoyed it bec Almost all were in character ...

The first scene between Shyam and Anjali ..Shyam caught with his hands in the proverbial til and who is the catcher , his own cuckoo wife Anjali ... Shyam has no room for escape but does that faze him no he creates few extra space and tries to pass off his presence by saying he is conducting an expedition into Arnav's closet in search of the evavsive Blue Kurtha , whe the look of suspicion persists on Anjali's face, he stops evading and says baldly that he was searching for a paper , A paper of ownership..Anjali is taken aback and shocked ..Shyam tries to pass it off as a joke but Wifey is not amused, mutters never to joke around like that again walks away ...



The Keyword in this scene was Anjali's word ' CHANGE " ... Yes, Finally things will be changing ..Anjali it is who is bringing in the change in Arnav Khushi's life [ by means of bedsheets , The old soiled one is removed and fresh one is put on suggesting the second innings of Arnav-Khuhsi's life ] but This change will lead to a negative fall out in Shyam's life, his bluster will not be successful...For the first time we saw Anjali not buying into Shyam's explanations and has begun to nurse lively suspicion ...

It was interesting to see too Anjali's reaction when Shyam says that he was looking for the deeds of ownership ... So far we had been thinking that Anjali had her head in the clouds but her shocked reaction makes me think that not only is she manipulative , in a quirky way she is also quite astute , she knows that wealth in her name is a magnet and the paaramparic [ traditional] naari is in no hurry to divest herself of it and give everything to her Pati , Anjali understands the power and danger of wealth ..Does she realize subconsciously that Shyam is only there for her Money ..Somehow there was a hint in todays episode that she might know but does not want to acknowledge consciously ...


Arnav and Khushi make into the office in one piece without strangling one another ... There were two instances I liked here before Arnav reaches the cabin ...The first was when Shuklaji calls Khushi Bhabhi ...Arnav who would be walking up ahead , lost in his own thoughts immediately pauses , turns and glares at Shuaklaji , who catching it instantly corrects it to ' Ma'am ' !!...


Wasn't this the same Arnav who used to bully & insult Khushi with taunts of Middle class mentality, low status ..one who would be comfortable with peons, Guards, servants now by quietly insisting on the formal Ma'am instead of allowing any informal Bhabhi hinting at equality, he has accepted Khushi is his equal and above the rest and he expects his staff not to cross the boundary ..

The second Instance was when he speaks to his uncomprehending PA , He turns and looks down where Khushi is waiting silently & openly seeking her help , Gazelle footed she immediately climbs the stairs reaches his position and helps him...An augury that Khushi might reach the same level of success perhaps but what struck me most was for the first time in the entire show, Arnav voluntarily and without feeling inferior openly sought Khushi's help..A monumental achievement for he was a man who prided on his ability to take care of everything himself, who did take care of everything himself , who hated weakness , who would not expose his chinks but there he was doing all the things he abhors why bec his inner self has accepted her ,loves her and he is not ashamed to show his weakness to her cuz he knows that she is strong enuf for both of them..



The Lawyer Mystery ..Arnav snatching the phone from Khushi and not talking in front of Khushi and the immediate shift of scene does imply that the issue is tied up with Anjali/Shyam and Arnav has taken certain steps that will be damaging to shyam if he were to contemplate dumping Anjali ..So Arnav has begun to tighten the noose but will Shyam oblige Arnav by hanging meekly or will he fight back using the cunning skills held in his repertoire ..I am plumping for latter ...

This could also be the first step for Khushi to get direct hint about Arnav's Chot & truth ...Khushi is puzzled and with her penchant for dramatics ..She may think Arnav is planning to disturb PAYASH combo , she may become interested to see the contents of the papers and when she learns , she may begin to connect the closely strewn dots



Loved the scene of S&S's arrival ...Khushi getting nervous and when she becomes nervous her mouth begins to do a marathon which is what she begun to do today ..The establishment of her nervousness was nicely done and it was properly married to her flair for dramatics as she begun to be puzzled by the duo wearing shades inside the office ...I also loved the touch of phone call which would get her outside just when the con artists decided to go out to get the file ** very nice touch and helping us to know how Khushi will know the truth and why she has to go out at that juncture**

The dialogue of Khushi ' All will turn out to be good" ..A assurance to viewers and also hint on the upcoming events about the track makes me happy !!


The CON'S in CONFERENCE ;


This was a segment that had me in splits ..Barun and SI were in top form .. it is not easy to remain quiet and yet mark his presence in the scene esp when ur co actor has been given witty lines and comedy being her forte, yet Barun managed to make his presence felt strongly...be it the initial baffled look on seeing the almost identical caricatures and his reservations and his outrage & Chagrin when Khushi babbles about onion .. ** Brilliant ** SI's Posture throughout the interaction..just lovved it man 😆..Baruns reaction when Khushi goes 5 paise deals was applause worthy .. suffice to say the conference became Desi Rachel's cookery show !! who conned whom is a moot point here 😉... Well Khushi manages to pack off S&S but Akash intrudes and the Raizada brothers move in for damage control .. They almost fall in to the trap set by the Con brothers when Police arrive in nick of time expose the frauds for what they are and elevate Khushi to SP Super heroine rank and depart .


An hilarious segment which just makes u forget the stress of the day...Yes It does appear strange to see Khushi figuring out the petty thieves but one has to remember that she did not use her intelligence or brilliance to realize they were thieves , she witnessed their plans and heard their plotting...The other thing one has to remember is that Khushi has a presence of mind and also the ability to enact noutanki at the drop of the hat ...She did the same when Kanya Pooja was going on and she used her lively mind to stop Arnav from leaving in the dhabba scene ...This was all in a days work for Khushi Kumari Gupta- Singh Raizada ...

Questions may arise that this was done at the cost of cutting down on Arnav's brilliance ... there might be some truth there but not the entire truth ...This was Akash's affairs, Akash had the details on his finger tips and not Arnav ..

Did u girls notice the anger of Akash, unlike Arnav he did not explode , he merely clenched his hands into a fist and with a steely look and firm voice said that Khushi did wrong ..he did not waste his time in spending his anger in recriminations he immediately began to move towards salvaging whatever he could from the mess...He will be an valuable ally !!


Now coming to the tail end of the episode... we were hit by 4 nuggets of gold...

One when Akash says that " Whatever Khushi does there will be a reason behind it "

A statement that when the time comes and when Arnav might not be amenable to reason, it might be Akash or Khushi i herself who might remind Arnav that she had a reason for her silence .



Khushi chirpy " Sometimes we do it just for fun and anyone can commit a mistake " a message and an indirect apology for the viewer's ..


Khushi again " when People are honest and telling the truth , they look u in the eye and never look away " and all the time Arnav looking her straight in the eye and Khuhsi too looking him in the eye only for it to shy away for a split second as she is hiding a truth from him..


Khushi again " Kisi se bhi galathi hosakthi hai, Aap se bhi"

A hint that Arnav is going to know the truth soon , will be realizing his mistake but will he accept it and say Thanks for keeping quiet or Sorry for doubting you ...


The truth has begun to awaken from its slumber ...


The next scene that I would mention briefly is that of Maami, Nani and Payal's scene ...i am loving the changing equation of this troika... Maami who hates the guts of the Gupta sisters now almost calls out their name with love ...Nani who used to bring out Maami's status in front of the younger generation and thereby lowering the status of Maami and at the same time demeaning herself now merely contends herself with a look which is understood by Maami who in a trice coos out her Bahu's names .. Respect has begun to creep into this relationship and I am loving it ..

Tant, I liked the speech in the beginning and since 4 Lions have started to understand their mistake, we should turn a blind eye and I am doing that since this Monday. I liked today's episode and it was pretty informative about the future track as most of the audiences already know. I even loved Khushi, she was not OTT today and was in character; this is the actual Khushi. I liked her even in the announcement scene, which was an old idea but it was done nicely by 4 Lions. Now, she had a purpose to keep on playing as she needed to buy time for the cops to arrive. On a lighter note, I so want ASR to fund Khushi's catering company later on' She is A-mazing. Some of the dialogues, of Khushi's today and her actions are pretty evident that we are moving towards the truth; I already sensed yesterday that it's Khushi's time now to enter the battlefield and the creative team has already started the track. Above all, I must say today you are at full form and back with a bang. So, let me chant my daily mantra, it's TANTASTIC. 👏 👏 👏

See the irony here??? Yesterday, Tant was in no mood to decode the episode and today I am not.😆 Actually, I was pretty tied up since morning and I am really mentally exhausted to do an analysis. But my brain still is occupied with the message that today's episode wanted to depict. So, here I am with them. I will just talk about them as it's clouding my head since morning and even you didn't touch them. Hence, a BIG Thank you 🤗 for not touching them. The "4 nuggets, aka the 4 dialogues" that you have described, I won't touch base on them as you did justice in explaining them. But only add that, those 4 nuggets were a confirmation to us as well as to the characters that the "Truth Revelation" is nearby and we are a step closer in strengthening "Arnav-Khushi Equation"; the most important reasoning to prove why Khushi will forgive Arnav and why Arnav will understand Khushi and vice-versa.

Before I start with the serious analysis on the message the episode sent us, I would just thank 4 Lions for listening to the reason on why it is required for the older generation to behave in a proper manner in front of younger generations. I guess to the regular readers on IP Redux, I don't need to explain this but for the uninitiated, I would just say please refer to my Friday, 23^rd Mar analysis here at IP Redux. That analysis and today's episode is self-explanatory.

Now another character I loved is Aakash, because he is always determined in what he puts his hands on. Be it work or be it his values and judgments. I won't describe as Tant said that but will mainatain my logic that when the truth will be out then Aakash will support the Raizadas and not Payal; Don't know why but I am remembering my own statement here where I had cited the difference between Arnav-Khushi and Payal-Aakash relationship. I remember saying, for Arnav-Khushi it's the tribulations and trials that's building the trut between them where as in Aakash-Payal it is the love between them that built the trust. There is indeed a vacuum inside and it can only be revived with trials and tribulations and without that Love can never be strong.

I think in Mar 2^nd analysis I mentioned - When the Shyaam revelation will happen, then Aakash - Payal separation is inevitable; physical or mental I don't know because that's the CVs job, not mine. But, there will be separation and this where the innuendo of Payal - "Tum mujhe iss ghar se nikalwa do" fits in. He won't even spare Arnav here, for heaven's sake why he??? Anjali is his Di also. Because of Khushi, Payal came into this home and it will be AGAIN 'coz of her, Payal will be out of this home. When Shyaam's revelation will occur, Aakash will support his Mom and Anjali because Anjali is the apple of everyone's eye and like the other day he was quiet before the wedding when Payal's first marriage issue came up, this day also he will be quiet. Because Shyaam 's character issue is a big problem and Aakash will never support Gupta's on this. The loop that opened long back with Aakash's "main aapse koi baat nehin chupaoonga" will close with Payal's temporary departure.

Let me start with my analysis. I don't know about you all, but today's episode I liked just because of two scenes - Anjali-Shyaam and the Sethi brothers' talk, yup the Con talk in the parking lot.

"We walk by faith and not by sight" - Biblical verse

The above verse is one of my favourite verses from any Holy Book. All the Holy books carry their own versions, so it can be referred to any of them. Yes, we walk by faith and not by sight. It's true to the "T" for all, even for Anjali and for Shyaam and even for Hari Prakash. Wondering HariPrakash??? Yes, HP. Read me on.

You already know that in any investigations it's the clue that matters but one wants it or not, when one planas a crime, she/he always leaves a clue for the Almighty watches everything from heaven above and it's the Superpower that controls our every move. I liked the CVs didn't forget it while designing Anjali -Shyaam scene. This scene reminded me immediately, of the scene when Shyaam was freshly engaged to Khushi. He came home that night and upon seeing Anjali he said - "hum chahe kahin bhi jaaye ya kuch bhi karein, humhein laut ke toh aaphi ke paas aana hain". The next morning he was about to lose the ring and when he started to search he recalled it must have gone for laundry. He rushed down the stairs and managed to get it back; but Anjali had a doubt and upon her quesry he teased her exactly like today - "Haan hum aapse chupake doosri shaadi kar rahe hain". Anjali took that as a "Joke" where as what Shyaam meant is "Reality". He then replied, if I would have told you the actual truth also you wouldn't believe; Anjali's query was that he is hiding something about the ring and Shyaam's answer was the truth only. All this was watched by HP that day. We do walk by faith and not by sight.*Sigh*

The same thing happened today. Shyaam came in search of some evidence suspecting of Arnav's next move so that he prepares himself for his defense and plan his move simultaneously. When Anjali came instructing HP to change the soiled bedsheet he caught Shyaam redhanded like she did in November, last time. Today, when questioned Shyaam made up an "Excuse" of acquiring her entire wealth where as Anjali took it as the crude truth of her "Reality". Shyaam married Anjali with the intention of acquiring her entire wealth but he knows that she is his "Ace". He has worked on this case since a long time at the same time deep down Anjali believes that Shyaam might have married her because of her wealth and there was every reason to believe that; she was a lucrative offer to Shyaam despite her physical restriction. But in this situation, Shyaam's main priority is to save himself from the entire mess that he's been involved in as he knows the golgen goose is always in her control. One intelligent move and the entire property will be his. 4 years of companionship and his effort will pay him back, that's his idea. That day, Anjali took the truth as a joke and today she took the excuse as a truth. Whtta IRONY. Anjali's entire belief in Shyaam is he loves her deeply and would never leave her so what if that "Love" is founded on "Wealth". With today's incident she realized her deepest fear that justifies her inclination towards "Puja", because according to her, her faith in God will pay off one day; that this "Sand Castle" of her belief will never crumble and she will never have a chance to face ths crude reality of her fear. Today also all this was witnessed by non other than HP. But what she doesn't know that one day she will be saved for "When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in".

I liked that the Creative team have over-recorded Shyaam's dialogue here. His confirmation "Aap aur humari honewali rajkumari hi toh humari puri jaaydad hain" was added later on. Nice correction because Anjali's deliusion is still needed for the story to move forward and keeps Shyaam character intact. That's why he confirmed again on the property thing with Anjali and I loved that the CVs have also confirmed that whatever it is Shyaam will never leave Anjali till he acquires the wealth and Arnav's recent conversation proves that the legal papers are indeed to keep Anjali-Shyaam together by hook or crook.

Now, today I want to talk about that one dialogue which made it worth watching the episode. The one dialogue that defines ASR to the "T"; the one dialogue that Khushi overheard and still didn't pick up but she will one day upon required. Yes, I always mention every episode says something and we need to pick them up as it will be always hidden and it will be something that the story will walk along the path ahead. The first part of the dialogue was for Khushi to ponder over later on and the second part about talent and back ground check was their defense of ASR and Aakash's fault in not doing proper BG Check. No, it's not the 4 nuggets, they are the hints of the future track but the message will always be the one that defines the reason on which solution and justification will be based on. It's the dialogue by the Con brothers.

"Waise Arnav Singh Raizada shahed par makkhi ki tarah aaram se baithne walan hain"

Yes, defines ASR to the core. No, not in a negative way. ASR is an opportunist and he grabs the first opportunity. Remember I always define ASR as a person who never sits and cries over spilt milk; once I defined his character with the quote of Ayn Rand - "All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - WALK". While doing that in business or be it in personal life, Arnav Singh Raizada always GRABS the OPPORTUNITY at first and he just walks the road ahead; good or bad that time has always told him and will always will. Khushi heard that today but this attribute of Arnav Singh Raziada will help her understand him. I loved this small parking lot scene and what Khushi witnessed was necessary for her to reason out Arnav's behavior on how easily Arnav jumps to conclusion.

"I would rather be an opportunist and float than go to the bottom with my principles around my neck" by Baldwin.

Yes, today also I want to recall the Diwali episode. That day he almost had confessed and the moment he came out of the trance he realized his mistake; he realized what he was about to put himself into; No, he didn't runaway from her but he wanted to save himself from him; He went to the hallway and grabbed the first opportunity and decided to walk on that path. Did he repent??? Yes of course he did but he still was firm in his ground. He did do any BG Check, aka, any reasoning with her??? No. Did he go to the bottom with his principles??? No. The same way he did at when he realized the truth. What he did??? He grabbed the first opportunity when Aaakash said "bhai nehin hain toh varmala nehin hogi". Yes, that was the moment he realized if he can use this wedding as bait, then he can save Anjali's life. He dragged Khushi to the Pool side and made the deal. Did he think of his principles??? No. He didn't??? Did he think of the consequences??? No, he didn't. This time also he used the first opportunity that came his way and decided to float along. He gave a damn about the family values, he gave a damn about Khushi's feelings, he gave a damn about all the accusations but what he did is - "shahed par makkhi ki tarah aaram se baithke aage ke raashte mein chalta gaya". He saw the road ahead and just walked.

This one dialogue will help Khushi to understand ASR in future on what he did and why did. This one dialogue will help her to forgive him as he never thinks before acting and he always grabs the first opportunity that comes his way. Today, I loved the script writer for this one sentence and the Creative Team for making Khushi to overhear it.

I liked the first part of the office bit - Khushi-Shukla-ji, Khushi's announcement and then her monologue as they wait for the Sethi brothers.

Hi, Brilliant analysis as usual 👏 today was about laying some groundwork 4doubt, Anjali 4 Shayam, and Arnav 4 Khushi. I agree not the best episode.



I'm glad that Anjali did not fully believe Shayams excuse and she was still a bit suspicious, it is a daily soap so it will take some time it to change from suspicion to somethin concrete , but she is hopefully on the right path.

Yes Akash said it was his fault 4not doin a background check as the deal was to good but that shud have made him more suspicious. thou it was said that the sethi brothers varies small to mid size companies and I thou AR Design was a large company. It has been said that AR nearly bein duped does not go wit ASRs character and that is true. however if u look at his expression wen they he first net them and especially wen
they were downstairs in the office and the brothers were sayin 4 50% advance they wud set up the factory he was not convinced, wen Akash was closing the deal by shaking hands his expressions conveyed that he thou somethin was wrong, who knows if he had his voice wat he may have said! but before he can doin anything Khushi said that they wud not be doin any deal and he went back to bein angry.

The episode had some good dialogues which you have explained beautifully so won't go into.

I missed hearing his voice but he carried of the whole episode without a word 👏 👏

Today's episode was a bit of a filler in the sense that nothing major happened, but nevertheless it got me excited...the reason for my excitement I will expound on later.

If l overlook the discontinuity the episode was amusing and quite enjoyable.. !!

Let me start with what I found a bit strange.. I accept ASR trusts his loved ones to do their best.. and the prospect of this deal was in Akash's hands yet I fail to accept the man that has been portrayed as a control freak did not look into the details.. he has stated repeatedly everything is under his control things go the way he would like them to.. fine individuals make mistakes and he's only human but they are established businessmen for them to make such a grave mistake simply to portray the importance K has in his life seemed unnecessary to me.. the message was acceptable but I simply fail to accept it could not have been brought about another way..

Now for what I thoroughly enjoyed.. the gradual progression in ArHi's marriage their acceptance of one another was a treat to watch.. ASR demands his wife be given her due respect with one look he silenced his employees and commands she be treated as his equal.. hence somewhere in his heart the hope lives on that this marriage will last his expectations will be proven incorrect.. and K will remain where he has always wanted to see her by his side.. another one of my personal favorites had to be the conversation in the car.. K's proclamation that she enjoying talking business mainly because she was KKGSR and she could say whatever she wanted...no hesitation.. no shame.. simply stating a fact.. she has not only accepted his name but the duties.. perks...everything that goes with it.. similar to her hubby she is quite comfortable in her new avatar.. and is in no hurry to let go of the individual she cares for..

The car sequence came across so naturally that it was a treat to watch.. ASR's expression.. be it anger, concern... amusement.. or that smirk when she said she saved his company .. were all perfect..K telling him to speak.. not with words but with actions was too cute..she finds comfort even in his anger.. because she knows his anger is far better then his silence.. but more importantly it was just nice to see them actually have a decent conversation.. even if one could only express..it was more then enough for her to decipher his denotations..

I understand the need for K to save ASR but truly for con artists to discuss their plans in the parking lot that bit was difficult to digest.. irrespective of their intentions...!!

K was adorable in the office sequence true to her nature she begins to rattle on when nervous did you notice that raise of his eyebrow when she said she would handle everything.. it was not disbelief but realization that she was not about to stop. I found him simply sitting there allowing her to get everything out adorable... he has become so accustomed to her antics that nothing surprises him anymore..😆

The meeting was enjoyable more so because ASR's expressions were priceless.. bemused.. as she babbled on about her new business.. irritation.. grasping her hand to ask What the hell she was doing.. more importantly though I enjoyed the scenes that followed.. ASR has been keenly observing his active wife's concern.. refusal to give in irrespective of the situation.. and the need to fix things on her own.. hopefully he will keep this in mind when the truth is revealed.. because even though she lowered her eyes for a mere second she lifted them up once again portraying she may have hid something but her intentions have always been good.. I loved how innocently she asked do your really believe anyone can make mistakes even you.. I felt like saying Yes he will find out very soon how wrong he was where you were concerned.. !!

And the best line.. Akash saying there is always a reason behind K's actions.. truly ASR keep this one in mind dear.. it will come in handy later on..!!

Also loved Anjali not completely giving into Shyam's justification... it was good to see him sweat.. mumble.. and strive to find an explanation... hopefully all pointing to the unveiling of the truth..

I agree to your speech😆👍🏼...there are a lot of logistics involved that we dont see and cannot understand... so I turn a blind eye too...having said that today I thought was not half bad...coz...the directions and the editing were good...the actors played their part well... the dialogues were funny...maybe my humor bar aint that high😳...putting aside the story...it was tad silly but funny...😃

So, apology was meant for us too?
