Great post Sathya! I agree, I give the CVs credit when they attempt damage control. Its a lot more than other shows do, they take the time to hear viewers out and take the criticism very seriously.
I really liked this episode, while it seemed like a filler it was anything but that. For once Shyam wasn't able to pull the wool over Anjali's eyes as easy as he usually does. It does seem she has her suspicions about what he was really doing in Khushi and Arnav's room.
I love the way Arnav looked at Shukla when he referred to Khushi as bhabi, those eyes continue to emote so much of what Arnav feels. Shukla got the hint and immediately corrected himself.
So the business meeting takes place, Khushi is doing the opposite of what everyone expected. She was being her pagal self and completely ruining things for Arnav but there was a motive behind it, she was saving him from making a big mistake. Like you pointed out, this was more of Akash's doing than Arnav even when the deal was sealed it was Akash who did it not Arnav.
Loved the part where Akash pointed out whatever Khushi does there is a reason behind it and like Arnav said anyone can make a mistake. Hope this is telling of the future track
The standout scene for me in this episode was the car ride, there was actually communication! From Khushi knowing why Arnav was upset that she didn't tell him, to her saying she missed his what the's. It was just a really good scene!!
Honestly I didn't pay much attention to Mami, Nani and Payal's scenes but now that I've read your analysis will go back and watch.

my 2 cents... first i love you posts. they put so much clarity to this serial and confirm some of my thoughts. i think Khushi emerged today as KASR, she's very the business man's wife. i say this because after explaining ASR has an issue with his voice, she proceeded to request they carry on with the normal actitives ( i dont know hindi so i am assuming this from her actions). Your post also confirmed what i felt.. Angali now will probably has her antennas up and keep a watchful eye on hubby. And ASR is tightening the financial noose for Shyam. I also like that ASR is commanding respect from the employees for his wife... he may have called her "low class" previoiusly, but now she is his wife and has status. oh boy l'm not going to make any comments on Mamiji, naniji and Payal...

Always love reading your take on the episode sathya...must say i was a bit dissapointed with the way things played out but reading ur post did put a slightly different spin on things - however having said that - wat i dont get is - why do they have to make one character look better at the expense of another character?? for example - why did they have to make arnav look dumb for khushi to look so clued on? am sure they can think of other ways to show khushi is a smart intelligent gal without having making arnav look so dumb? ha! ha! and he was that literally today!!

Tanthya, every day I read your thread, today was the first time I have been moved to post. Usually I am so very tired and read all these posts but my fingers have no energy even to type one word.

Every day I admire your and Dood's analysis and marvel at the beauty and sheer lyricism of your words.

But today I post because of what you said in your first paragraph. Tanthya I have no words to say thank you enough. Thank you for having the grace and humanity, yes humanity to say that sometimes we can look the other way. It behooves us as humans to not always find fault and break down everything because it can be broken down. Why? Because it is hard to build and easy to tear down. I remember a professor telling me that in grad school as we all hungrily tore apart a piece of literary criticism using our newly whetted minds dipped in literary theory. I am a great lover of being critical, but as you aptly reminded me, the critical brain must also be sometimes tempered with our hearts.

Today I too decided to look the other way, or at least give the show a pass. Maybe because this PH is trying, maybe because the cash is strapped, maybe because the whole show rests on the shoulders of two over-worked exhausted young actors and maybe because I need someone to look the other way for a split second when I goof up too. So maybe this is a deposit in the karmic AT&T of goodwill.

I admire the work you do here and that is the work of building something each and every day: Tanthya and Doods. So thank you Thank you from the bottom of my heart

@ Sathya, loved your analysis dear. Was waiting to see how you read it after reading so many posts in favor and against the mindless OTT comedy.

Have to say, I too was initially in the not too happy camp, but having read a few insightful posts like yours, I am having to revisit my initial reaction.

I particularly loved these lines of yours, they really happened to be the best moment in the episode for me too for exactly the reasons you have cited.

The second Instance was when he speaks to his uncomprehending PA , He turns and looks down where Khushi is waiting silently & openly seeking her help , Gazelle footed she immediately climbs the stairs reaches his position and helps him...An augury that Khushi might reach the same level of success perhaps but what struck me most was for the first time in the entire show, Arnav voluntarily and without feeling inferior openly sought Khushi's help..A monumental achievement for he was a man who prided on his ability to take care of everything himself, who did take care of everything himself , who hated weakness , who would not expose his chinks but there he was doing all the things he abhors why bec his inner self has accepted her ,loves her and he is not ashamed to show his weakness to her cuz he knows that she is strong enuf for both of them..

Arnav has come a long way indeed in accepting Khushi wholeheartedly as his wife. He had put his staff in place the other day by pointing her status and demanding she be addressed as Ma'am. Today too, he instantly put Shuklaji in his place. It matters a lot to him how people address his wife, shows such a possessive streak in him about her. 😆

But more than that, his dependence and the acceptance of that dependence on Khushi was indeed huge. Loved, loved that little scene.

The other scene that was noteworthy was Shyam getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar. His brazenness at blurting out the truth to Anji and then trying to cover it up as a joke is certainly showing his growing cockiness which is sure to tighten the noose around his neck. Loved to see for once Anji not buying his glib lie of it being a joke. The seeds of doubts have certainly started to sprout in her mind...

As you said loved the last part of the episode. Those were indeed 4 gems that soothed the agitated mind watching the OTT nautanki of Khushi.

Khushi's OTT antics in explaining the growth of the company certainly drove me nuts, but as we saw later, it had a purpose. I too loved the way Aakash told her, I should had known, "You always have a reason behind everything you do", hoping to see Arnav's brain working in that direction too and try digging deeper behind Khushi's motive when she told the creep, "Why don't you leave Anjali, if you are so unhappy with her?". Why did she say that to him?? Also, loved to hear Khushi's quick rejoinder to Aakash, "Not everything I do has a purpose, somethings I do, are just for fun." It conveyed a beautiful meaning in my mind, that Khushi does not take life so seriously, she knows when to work and when to have fun too. Arnav needs to learn this trait from her, there's more to life than just work, power & money. Life is too short, to be taken seriously all the time, enjoy it while you can. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. 😉

Of course the main thing that was conveyed in today's episode was without a doubt about honesty. Honest people look you in the eye and talk. ASR got first hand experience & lecture of that from his teacher of life. 😃 In all these days he has known Khushi, she has never looked anywhere but straight into his eye and spoken. How can he now doubt her integrity? She has questioned him before about why he thinks she has hurt him?? If she had even a shade of dishonesty in her, would she have point-blank asked him that?? If Arnav doesn't know how to read people, I am hoping after today's lecture from Khushi, that point has been driven home. He needs to now cross-check and arrive at the truth. I am hoping that's what we get to see next week after a week-full of light hearted episodes loaded with deeper meaning. 😃

And lastly, the "Galti kisise bhi ho sakti hai, aap se bhi". Does this mean she will forgive him quite easily as he had committed a galti in thinking she would cheat on Anji & him?? This also reminded me of the kanya puja day when she had taught him to forgive the kids who had broken his model. Will Khushi be again asking his forgiveness in keeping him in the dark about Shyam when the truth comes out??

P.S. Btw, this was the first time I saw a company's conference room equipped with such a low table surrounded by bar stools. What's up with that?? New decor of conference rooms??? Granted the PH is fukkad but I am sure they could rent a little furniture to make it look real. Btw, I remember seeing a much better equipped conference room earlier when Khushi had walked in while ASR was giving a presentation when she had gone to placate him to request La to stay back and not leave...
