So i recently read a post which inspired me to write this! But in between writing, i had horrible episodes of renal pain so if this sounds lopsided, forgive me? Lemme know how it was!! And if there are grammatical errors, ignore em please!!
She winced when her hand hit the counter top accidently. Since yesterday she had hit it on different things countlessly. Clumsy, careless, yup that was her. But hate worthy? She hadn't ever imagined, she'd become the core of someone's hatred. Slamming the door on her hand, had been far less painful then his words.
"What do you plan to do about him Khushi?" Payal asked her. Shocked at hearing another voice,turning around khushi looked at her sister in panic,all the while wondering who was Payal talking about? Had she witnessed the encounter some how? No that wasn't possible.
"About Who jiji?" she asked innocently
Anjali entered Arnav 's room to inquire whether he'd seen where his Jijaji was. She had looked all around the house, but couldn't find him. She'd thought to look into Arnav's room in case they were discussing something related to business But disappointed that her husband wasn't here aswell, she decided to look in the kiitchen. That was the only place left. Arnav stopped her, stating exertion wasn't good for her in her present condition, and offered to go look for Jijaji in the kitchen.
"Shyam ,who else Khushi?" Payal said.
"I know you got married in a huff, and I know there's a reason you aren't telling me, and I wont probe you for that as in for now. But also, I'm sorry Khushi, for being so self absorbed in my own life that I forgot about yours. In all of this mess, I forgot about you. I forgot about you and Shyam. I forgot HE lived here too. And we both know how obsessed he is with you. He's delusional to no extend.
"Jiji, I know this, and to think of it, I thought getting married would make him back off, but Jiji he's grown bolder somehow. He'd never had the guts to corner me in a room or anywhere before. But now it's likes he's in the shadows always. He jumps out anywhere and starts his nonsense, about how we're both made for each other and that i belong to him only. I dont know what to do Jiji. "
"Has he done something to you Khushi recently? Tell me Khushi?" Payal asked her in a worried tone.
Khushi recounted the kitchen and Di's bedroom encounter to payal. As she finished, Payal felt a surge of anger, with such an intense that she couldn't control it. He needed to be exposed.
"Khushi, I think, We should tell Aakash or Arnav ji about this. Shyam has crossed his limitt. This is all a game to him, and by staying quiet, we have unintentionally further encouraged him. We need to put a stop to his illusions. He plays this game very well, when our family couldn't stop him, how can we? No,we cant defeat him alone. We need someone from here on our side."
"No Jiji," Khushi rushed out, to explain her denial. "Jiji Arnav ji loves Di so much, he would never believe me. Or us. He has known Shyam for much longer than us. And he trusts Shyam blindly, and so does Di. And the second thing Jiji, even if he believes us, how are we supposed to break this to him?Anjali Di is his world. He revolves around her. Breaking thsi him,means shattering him. I don't want to give him so much pain. He won't be able to take it. I cant tell him this Jiji, I cant."
"If you cant talk to Arnav ji, Please let me tell Aakash. Aakash is reasonable, he will isten to me, and then believe me, I msure of this. They need to know, that they have a weasel living under their roof. They need to know, he's a danger to Di's life. he is unreasonable. You can expect the worse from him."
All the while the newly wed sisters were discussing, they had failed to notice a shadow.
Arnav Singh Raizada had been rendered speechless for the second time in his life. He turned his back to the cool wall,and tried to absorb what he had just heard. The shock itself had him numbed. He had been a reckless fool all this while. He'd done EXACTLY what Shyam had wanted. He'd danced to Shyam's tunes unknowningly. What a gullible fool he had been.
"I dont want to give him so much pain" Her words echoed in his ears. He closed his eyes in agony.
He had made her life miserable. Hurt her on every occasion, every chance he got. All the while she had been nothing but the victim herself. He was no different then Shyam was. They both had scarred her emotionally. He couldn't rewind the time. But he could make sure that the bas***d never got another chance to torment her further. Ever.
With newfound determination, he turned in, and walked into the kitchen, where Khushi and Payal were in deep thought.
"Kisi ko kisi ko kuch batanay ki zaroorat nahin hai." Arnav Singh Raizada's booming voice reached Khushi and Payal. Both sisters panicked, eyes widened, and hands frozen in the air, stared at him.
" Yahan se agay main handle ker loon ga."
Turning to face payal he said," Payal, tum Khushi ke liye pareshan na ho abb. Ye meri zimmedari hai. "
With the last words, his gaze turned to his wife.
Payal nodded, and before walking out, she turned to the couple who now stood facing each other, looking into each others eyes intensely. Payal smiled, Her sister may have not had the dream wedding, but she finally did have her prince. A prince who would keep her safe, protect her from the evil, and make her life complete.
