Awesome post Tanthya!
I've been a silent reader of both yours and Doodleberry's posts for a few weeks now, and it has become one of my staple posts to check out when I log into IF!
What can I say about today's episode? I absolutely LOVED it. I really do wish that they would give Arnav a monologue of sorts because it is getting a bit confusing determining what exactly he believes to be the connection between Khushi and Shyam.
I mean, how can someone hear Shyam project about "Khushi running away" and not start to put two and two together?
Nevertheless, just a few things I really adored about today. I really love how Arnav is beginning to see Khushi as his wife. Yesterdays episode, I felt the Rabba Ve started when he first laid eyes on Khushi wearing his mother's bangles as she lay searching under the bed. For the first time he's truly noticed that the woman he loves is wearing a prized possession of another woman he loved - his mother.
Slowly he's beginning to see shades of the Khushi that he fell in love with. The Khushi, who for some reason, he had begun to believe was a mirage of sorts.
It was heartwarming to see Arnav's satisfaction in seeing that Khushi had won over all of the people she cared about. It truly goes to show that he never intended on ruining Khushi's life. He acted in the heat of the moment - as he always does - and once he learned the repercussions of his actions he immediately began to regret how it had damaged Khushi's life.
His main goal was to protect his Di, and no matter how angry/hurt he was at the woman he loves, he would never, ever, ever try to intentionally hurt her in any way.
Despite the determination in his stride, my favourite part of today's episode was the way that Arnav was trying to downplay his feelings. He tries to convince himself that the only reason he is putting gulaal on Khushi is because he does not want his jijaji to do it (thus, protect his Di). Another rash decision which he feels is driven by the sole intent to protect his Di. But when you study his expression as he is smearing the colour on Khushi's face it is blatantly apparent that there is so much more reasoning behind his actions.
The way he studies her face after he's painted her face in the colour of his love, you see a sadness over the love which he feels that he has lost. Arnav's false veneer of nonchalance is even more apparent when Khushi is about to smear rang on his face.
Though, outwardly he appears to not be bothered with the fact that Khushi is caressing his cheek with gulaal - the moment her hand touches his face you see the warmth begin to exude from his expression. The barrier which he had constructed around his heart is beginning to crumble.
He can't help but love this girl. Despite all his reasoning that he shouldn't - he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her every single time. The same applies to Khushi. Khushi still loves Arnav despite everything that he has done to her as the hope is shining through her eyes as she hesitantly looks at Arnav's face when Nani and Anjali speak of the love between these two.
I loved the way they both touched their faces - almost as if in disbelief that they had coloured each other in their love. They both try to downplay the emotions behind the action - Arnav with his "aisa kuch nahin hai, Di", but their eyes speak what their voices cannot.
I just can't wait for ONE of them to realize the reason behind this MU and then this track can really start rolling.
