During a Battle of Wits
Enemy strikes a deal, attempting to blackmail you, with say something like. "If you don't agree to marry me, I will not let your sister marry my brother."
You accept the deal.
Your sister gets married.
And common sense dictates, that since you now have the upper hand, you tell your enemy to eff off. And, remind him that it's kinda stupid to ask for the money after the product has been shipped.
Honor
And, dignity, keeping your word etc. have NO relevance during a blackmail deal. If you back off, slap, hit, insist on a reason etc. it in no way makes you a bad person. However, demanding an answer after the deal is done is kinda dumb, because once again your enemy is in a position of power and owes you nothing.
Weeping
Is no excuse to keep the truth at bay.
Fear
Of what? That a horrible man blackmailed you? What exactly do you owe him that you're keeping your mouth shut? Can he take up residency in your sister's bedroom and prevent her bliss? Um, I'm thinking not.

Blackmail
Dude! If you think the girl is a scheming and manipulative b*tch, then why in the world are you so easily preying on her loyalty to her family? And, if she's falling for your (rather stupid) blackmail deal, doesn't that TELL you something? I mean, think it over. If she REALLY was having an affair with your BIL, and was the bi*ch you think she is, when you told her you're going to mess up her sister's life, then wouldn't she (logically) tell you that she is in a position to ruin YOUR sister's life?
Did you stop to wonder WHY she walked out of that house with you, and drove to the temple?
And, now back to the reason for your blackmail... So your BIL can have TIME to get his act together? Are you freaking KIDDING me? He cheated, he kept cheating, and he insists he will keep cheating... but for you it's "second chance" time? What are you? His wife? - What do you think he'll do in six months when you set your little captive free?
CVs? What's this about then? You took two very smart and strong characters, and wiped their brains clean for what? So people can argue about who is more wrong? Demand the blood of Arnav Singh Raizada? Well, they're both coming across as idiotic now, so the question is, what the hell are you going to do about it?
Or are you just so happy at the extra award nominations?
