Phew...It is not a Fake marriage...
I am relieved...I would have been really mad ifthey showed Arnie proposing a "live in" relationship to Khushi...I would have been more than mad...Furious...But any...way, don't need to worry about that...
I think by stating a definite term, it's as good as fake marriage... it's not a live-in, that would have outraged Indian sensibilities. So the next best thing that the CVs could show was this, IMO.
Now...the episode today...how melodramatic was that? And Garima's thappad...wel...what can I say, I realize why I don't watch soaps...where women are exploiting other women...and are their worst enemies...This could have been an episode from any of the other stereotypical...soaps...with high amount of drama playing in front of all the family members and hundreads of guest...I thought IPKKND was different...Well it really was, until now...This is the first time such a pathetic drama has taken place in public
Dramatic yes, slow moving very so, but I don't know if I could call it melodramatic. Melodramatic would've been Babuji getting another heart attack, Anjali fainting... Nani and Buaji beating their bosoms, Mamiji getting more hello hi bye, bye dialogues...
I think Garima's reaction was in line with what any traditional Indian mother who cares about society would do. If you go back to the earlier episodes as well, Garima is shown to be someone who gets affected when people around talk about Payal's broken marriage and Khushi's encounter with ASR when its splashed across channels.
Think about your daughter walking out in the middle of her sister's wedding, one where there already has been tension, to marry her sister's BIL. Your first reaction would be disbelief, shock "Kya?" The next, "Kyon?!" (Anjali asks this) and maybe "Kya majboori thi?" (natural to wonder this) Buaji says "Why did you take such a step?" and then when you don't get an answer, you'd either bang your head in frustration or slap her...
Also I noticed that the guests had left by then, it was just family that was present for these rituals. If it was another Sp type show, this would've happened in front of 100s of guests.
...but unlike Arnie...I am going to give the benefit of the doubt to the presumed guilty party here...I am going to give them (CVs) a chance to come back o their regular behavior and I am going to trust my judgement in the first place of why I fell in love with IPKKNDin the first place...and have been watching it day in and day out..(And I hate to say it folks...but if our Arnie boy was as mature as me...he would not be the hero of a soap...he he...).😉
Ok...lets come back to the episode...they showed us more of what transpired between Arhi...what was said and what wasn't ...They showed another convenient error the had Khushi made...just to sit their purpose of going with their story...When Arnie said...Marry me for 6months...I would have expected Khushi to say...for 6 months? in response...not Marry you...? in response...They just played on the words to slip in more confusion...
I agree - she could've asked - "chhe mehne hi kyon?" she could've called his bluff "agar aap yeh shaadi rokte hain, to Aakash ji ka kya hoga?" This was after all the same guy who put his differences aside to bring the two lovers together...
I'll try and explain the warped logic here 😉 - when a girl like KKG who believes in the ideals of marriage is made an outrageous offer like this, she's going to be stunned and that too, when it comes across as blackmail. So uske hosh udd gaye the!! 😆
Oh...welll...whatever...tight script has never been a forte when it comes to IPKKND or any other daly soaps...and the brilliant people on this forum think that it is a Khushi issue...why she did not behave in a certain way...😆😆😆
Agree. Same goes for Arnav's characterisation... when she breaks away from his hold (by the poolside) she asks him "Kya samajhte hain aap shaadi ke rishte ko?"
The quick-on-the-uptake Arnav would've immediately caught on, "Tum kya samajhti ho?" or "Really that coming from someone like you?"
But what was more than a blunder to suit the story was...Arnies condition to have the marriage for 6 months...Is this man really this clueless? Babies need more than 6 months to get ready to come out...and it does not take 3 months for a woman to figure out that ...
That's my beef with the CVs too... why 6 months? And if it's just to protect Anjali wouldn't 8 - 9 months or maybe even a year be better?
There was not much to like in todays episode...but one hing I did like was that they gave ius a glimpse of Arnies frame of mind in arriving atthis point as well as Khushi's...
Yes. They showed her question him even if it was dumb one... she put up her fight. I also liked that the scene where he holds her was so like the second episode when he confronts her after the fashion show... and the circumstances were similar (Payal ki shaadi)
It was an emotional reaction, and a knee jerk one too...tit for tat...
You are destroying my sisters life...I will destroy your sisters...unless you cooperate in my plan which is not much ...but it is the best I could come up with right now...and hell it suits the IPKKND story...so lets just go with it...
Yeah, expected better from the tycoon ASR... but I think an emotionally wraught Arnav did the planning in this case. I felt he would handle the questions better and silence the families... and when he didn't I thought he might be doing it so Khushi could face the wrath (after all his family is scared of him, and her's definitely won't bug him)
But your explanation makes more sense... he just thought about Di and what needed to be done. He didn't anticipate the reactions...
I wish they'd shown this slightly differently.. but then if he had answered them and shut them up... Garima would not have had a chance to slap Khushi and we wouldn't have had the fortune of seeing seething ASR/ Arnav giving his new MIL murderous looks!
