I know high drama must be created n I'm loving it! But this little matter of Khushi being the bad guy better be sorted soon in ASR's mind, it wont be nice at all if this misunderstanding continues for long.

I want Khushi to stand her ground now they're married. It'll look silly if ASR believes lie after lie, come on ASR! His character is supposed to be more intelligent than that and I'm still holding out hope!

Farah, the worst part to swallow is the fact he hasn't yet listened to her side of the story, once he does I will stop being slightly irritated by him but we've only seen bits and pieces we don't know what happened when they actually got married whether he gave Khushi a chance to justify ... we have to wait and watch!

Lastly ^ as you said in the end, the worst part of all this would be if the true essence of Khushi's character is lost and crying and being perpetually sad is all we get to see in the weeks ahead!

@ Nimid, really liked your response. it was great how you pointed out those gaps.

btw, I don't actually have a problem with the bizzarre and unreal Anjali anymore ever since I read Gul's interview - it is clear that this is a thought through deliberate character sketch, of a person who is clingy, paranoid, dependent and messed up because of some serious issues in her past. but loving and caring of course. So she is supposed to be saccharine sweet.

that is the technique literature (dare I say it?) employs after all and it is indeed a well known technique - have certain characters that appeal to a certain demographic and mind set while you have a sub text running through it that appeals / garners a different message to another subset of your reader / audience. so hopefully you will be able to sit through those Anjali scenes? :)

And I just went back and read that fab post "Requim for the lost soul of..." by LiquidFairySoap" Awesome!!!! you really nailed it.. God, its terrible what they do to the characters to keep their audience... and I so feel for the actors, just like so many of you have pointed out - to have to work with shoddy material just because you are stuck with the show and the viewers are stuck with the memory and the promise of something great. Today's 6 month marriage and the crappy nonsensical illogical course of forcing Khushi to marry ASR was insane... I wish I had more will power to do what LiquidFairySoap did - quit watching..

@ps_ilu, he is changing (or is that my hope :)) but its a slow 2 steps forwards 1 step backwards. he is after all fighting the conditioning of a lifetime.

Also, I dont believe ASR is meant to be a nice guy. He is meant to be a **&& who learns to be human.. its a different matter that woman like his &^^% ness:) -

err, I dont like him. I am rooting for NK... wish she would just marry him and go and live in joy and peace!

You need an award for this spectacular post. Kudos kudos kudos to you!
I have nothing to add to this. You have voiced my sentiments better than I could.
It's disgraceful that women can overlook another woman's sorrows and give justifications for what the man did just because he is played by a good looking actor. I wonder if they will say the same thing if Arnav Singh Raizada was played by a not so good looking actor as Barun.
Most of ASr's actions could be justified in the past. But what he did today cannot be justified. I don't understand why criticism cannot be accpeted when criticism is due.
ASR is wrong! lets accept it! Why try to justify his actions when it's crystal clear that what he did was outlandish and cruel, selfish, ungentlemanly and completely undignified?

Coming back to your post? I love how you have put together everything. I am so angry with the CVs for the MU track. It was so illogical. Also I can't understand the entire Shyam-Arnav confrontation. I seriously hate Anjali now as she is totally clingy and week. That whole scene with Arnav - Shyam and Anjali where she is talking saccharine sweet made me cringe and I wanted to puke.
Really if I was in Khushi's place, I would have felt devastated and I would not be able to forgive ASR for ruining my life.
I love ASR a lot but the entire misunderstanding and him not using his intelligence one bit is getting to me. If they showed only hate and not his conflicted emotions about Khushi today, I would say bye bye to this show. They better not drag this anymore.

if i were khushi i will runaway from these ungrateful bunch and never come back...i wll not tell them where i'm and live peacefully..thats the biggest punishment i can think of... i'm not ASR naa... 😆

I missed out on this one..noticed your response on enigma's thread and then keenly looked for yours.

Beautifully written!

Today's episode shook me up...it was all about Khushi being interrogated, witch-hunted, humiliated in front of others while the person responsible for the whole situation stands besides her stoically, refusing to defend her (at least for the time being) or open his mouth to stop her from being subjected to an emotionally shattering barrage of questions.

Today all I saw was Khushi going through this torturous experience, without getting support from anyone...
I was appalled by how she was slapped like that...in front of her in-laws and berated as if she was a stupid silly child who needs to be taught a lesson!

Loved your post!

Same here dear.. I just hate physical abuse no matter what by parents or who-ever and the Garima woman never before acted like a proper mother to Khushi..
And what SICKENS me most that some members are even THANKING Garima for the act..

I don't think anyone is ignoring Khushi's pain and agony at all. I'm not at least. It's hard for her obviously to be put into that situation... Both ASR and Khushi have had to do something against their will, for their own reasons. You gave us other options in your post as to what ASR could have done- I agree. But at the end of the day its a show, and ASR has been portrayed to be the sharp businessman who does whatever comes to mind. With everything thats happened, ASR took it hard to digest and came up with the first thing that crossed his mind. ASR making a deal with Shyam- that just makes ASR look weak in my opinion. It shows Shyam that Anjali really does support on him...Remember how Shyam got scared when Arnav went to go tell Anjali...It would weaken ASR's character to make a deal with Shyam IMO :\ As for right now, I feel that each character is being true to their character sketch. Obviously every story can go in a lot of directions, but the writers chose this, and to be honest, I'm enjoying it. And saying that, I'm definitely not forgetting the pain BOTH the characters are in and Im def not saying ASR did the right thing... I might as well enjoy the track that's going to be coming cause it seems like there are endless possibilities as to what can happen :]

PS Also just wanna add, he does love Khushi, and if he had known the truth - WHICH Khushi decided to keep mum about, then of course he wouldn't have done this. But he's in the misunderstanding that Khushi loves Shyam- so he wouldn't wanna tell her why hes doing what he is. I do blame Khushi for feeling that Anjalis pregnancy news will make everything alright in Shyam Anjali's life..Believing that after seeing Shyams real face is kinda hard to digest :\ Anyways, I went kind of off there lol...but my point is that I understand how both characters feel..both are in a very sticky situation.

How in the world did I miss post?

Misclog - no one dare drive you out of the forum. You have voiced a well reasoned and logical point of view. and given the collective logic of CVs has gone to LaLa Land, I applaud your effort.

All I can say is I agree and totally see where you are coming from. Two wrongs dont make a right, What ASR did to right his sisters life is mess around with two lives. his and worse, khushi's. Had she opened her mouth to tell others why she is married, he would have no face left to hide. But she didn't. However, i want to thrash the CVs with wet noodles for adopting this incredulous line of story telling.

misclog2003 what an amazing post. honestly, i've been reading posts on IF for a few weeks but never thought to join or comment. your post however inspired me because you said exactly everything i have been thinking for the last couple of days, especially today, and i HAD TO comment. so i have just joined IF to tell you i think you are spot on in your analysis.

todays episode definitely left me thinking that they seem to be trying to romanticise domestic/emotional abuse and i felt uncomfortable watching it. it really did feel like he was "preying on an utterly impressionable 18 year old". i cannot condone asr's behaviour no matter how much i love the character, it felt like just because he loves her he can do anything he wants to her and it is forgivable and acceptable so long as it makes the story go where it needs to. i cannot understand how making her do something that goes against her principles and beliefs and may make her ashamed and hating herself is ever going to be forgivable??? i thought i was in the minority thinking this but i am glad i am not!

i have always thought he doesn't deserve her yet but he needs her in his life to help him evolve into someone more worthy of her, and i loved how the story was developing so far. but where do they go from here? they cannot treat what he has done lightly and have her forgive and forget in a couple of weeks. he has literally ruined her life in her eyes. i really felt her pain today, i think it will leave emotional scars which may never heal. i also saw some parallels between his and shyam's actions and i found that quite disturbing. i understand there are shades of grey in everyone and i love the intelligence (usually) of the writing and directing in this show when they try to explore these shades, especially with asr, its what got me hooked on it in the first place. in fact i cant believe i care this much about fictional characters in an indian drama serial and am 100% emotionally invested in them. but what have they done to asr's character? no amount of repenting and self-torment and self loathing will seem like its enough against todays abuse. do not get me wrong, i love asr and he is he reason why the show is so different from anything i've ever seen before. but i am wary of where the writers will take them both next...

sorry for the long ramble, once again i loved your post and the fact that you said exactly what was on a lot of peoples minds today.
