ASR has practically ruined Khushi's character. After 6 months who's going to marry her? Where will she go? Her family may not even take her back due to shame. How is he going to fix things when he find out the truth? Khushi has no choice in the matter now based on the society we live in. He claim it's for six months but he did not have to marry her,it's his male ego taking control. He wants to own her in every way possible then send her of to Shyam hoping he will not want her after he's used her. That in itself will be the death of any woman. ASR is a business tycoon so the media will be all over this story.. if you get my drift! Khushi reputation is doomed if the truth does not come out in time.

Romanticising violent behaviour regreted later (+beating when drunk sorry sober) is a dangerous path to follow as metioned in the post...
i agree with that ...am not fully buying the only choice reasoning but this makes for good drama and tho there might be a million ways out not all aof it are going to make good air time...
coming to your post...Shyam not interested in marriage... so what is all the Rani Sahiba cochicooing and getting her pregnant all about...😕.
True Shyam was a" gentle man" when he masterminded the courting of Kushi from Lucknow to the point when he got cought when he was still married...not to mention attempted murder too so him not kissing or attempting to kiss Khushi makes him what...
ASR to be fair was in a live in with Lav with her concent and prior knowledge of what his intentions were...
His equation with Khushi however is what is throwing him off balance...and unable to make rational choices which is what is highlighted and creating the drama that is drawing so many like flies to their tv/computors...😛

All points are so good. But yes. ASR also married her due to posessiveness and jealousy. No doubt about that. But he was oh so wrong.

You are absolutely right. Women are not toys to play with- He cannot do whatever he wants with her.I was thinking that this show would protray the leading lady differently but i was wrong. It is all the same crap- Lets humiliate her, our TRP will rise. What about morals??...Years goe and Years come and this sh*t remains the same. I am a disappointed fan.

Nice Topic, Agree with your points, Its nice they got married but the loss is of kushi, Today's episode, quite did not gel with me, I dont know if I will be able to watch future episodes with Kushi being tortured. I mean he did not even give her a chance to explain herself.

I really hate where this is going. Yeah I know the track just started and it'll get better blah blah blah but this is ridiculously stupid. At first, I was ok with it, thinking she might forgive him, whatever. Then I put myself in her shoes and how my family would react (very similar to hers.) And yeah, now I no longer buy that this is a love story. I would be completely shocked if she could forgive him in the next 6 months. Maybe in a few years after intense therapy. Yes he was in shock but dear God, he could have done literally anything else! He could have waited a day when he wasn't so freaked out and devised a better plan. It's not like much would have changed anyway. Shyam didn't say that he was running away with Kushi that night. He has so much money and worldly experience and he picked, what? Something a stupid guy watching 10 minutes of Indian TV would have picked if he was in the same situation. Then again, these shows are supposed to be for Indian housewives and it looks like the show creators don't feel like keeping any new types of viewers they might accidently attract.

I agree with what you say to some extent..but i just have one problem Shyam doesnt believe in marriage with Anjali, but doesnt want to leave her either.. If he was ready to divorce Anjali to live with Khushi and hadn't tried to kill Khushi's Dad and Anjali, got Anjali pregnant after his engagement broke while still claiming to be in love with Khushi, then we could have considered comparing him with ASR. anyways thats not the point here.

Yes, ASR had so many options to counter Shyam, and of all those he choose marry Khushi which seems so hard to believe.
One main thing is that if he believes Shyam and Khushi are having an affair, isn't ASR concerned that wouldnt they be sharing info with each other? So according to him
1. She should have known by now that ASR knows about Shyam and her.
2. Shyam would be knowing about the 6 months contract as soon as they talk to each other plus anything they discuss/ do in their bedroom.
3. So even if he says that we will pretend to be husband-wife in front of the world, but only we know we're not, that means according to him - Shyam knows it as well... so whats the point of marriage.
Does he intend to blackmail Shyam that u take care of my sister, i take care of ur gf else u'll see what happens to her???
but doesnt Shyam already know that Khushi doesnt love him, so why would he even bother to take care of Anjali now...

I was not saying Shyam was a gentleman. I am trying to draw a small parallel. Kushi did not know about Shyam until much later. During that time, from Kushi's perspective Shyam never did or said anything harsh with her. Forget that we as viewers know the real Shyam. But ASR told her she doesn't exist, she meand nothing, she has no brains, manhandled her etc. But did Kushi ever behave with ASR in a hurtful way and ever behave wtih Shyam in a loving way. No. All though Shyam was a gentle man to Kushi before she knew the real him, she never got any feeling towards him and was no more than just polite and distant with him. I mentioned it because, no matter how nice Shyam was to her, she did not fall for him. Right?
But ASR tried to kiss her on Diwali night and immediately said you are insgnificant. He actually stole a kiss on her cheek and naughtily challenged her to do the same. She was duped by one filth of a man Shyam. Here is a man she was falling for, slowly, who is pulling and pushing her and picking her up and throwing her down with his words. Deep down, she was attracted to him. She knows there is another side to ASR. The side he has when he is with his sister. The way he crumbles and gives into Kushi when she cries. She knew, she can bring out the Arnav and hence was falling fo him.
Then how come only ASR gets sympathy and not her?
ASR and Lavanya were togehter at the same time. How rudely did he behave with Lavanya. Forget how he behaved with Kushi. Everyone wanted ASR to fall for Kushi while he was mistreating both Lavanya and Kushi. Still again no love for Kushi.
I do not care if Lavanya gave her consent. What happened after she changed her mind and wanted marriage? So Lavanya gave her consent so his behaviour with Lavnya is excused. Kushi is not gving her conesnt and he forcefully and through balckmail got her consent. Sitll ASR is getting excused.
How and Why is emotional abuse on an 18 year old ok ?

Actually the title of the show 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' is actually Shyam's story for Khushi. He doesn't know if it is love or lust or something else. Also he does not want to leave his wife. So does he want Khushi as his mistress or second wife?

Coming back to your post? I love how you have put together everything. I am so angry with the CVs for the MU track. It was so illogical. Also I can't understand the entire Shyam-Arnav confrontation. I seriously hate Anjali now as she is totally clingy and week. That whole scene with Arnav - Shyam and Anjali where she is talking saccharine sweet made me cringe and I wanted to puke.
Really if I was in Khushi's place, I would have felt devastated and I would not be able to forgive ASR for ruining my life.
I love ASR a lot but the entire misunderstanding and him not using his intelligence one bit is getting to me. If they showed only hate and not his conflicted emotions about Khushi today, I would say bye bye to this show. They better not drag this anymore.
