I lauded Arnav's reaction in one of my recent posts. There is no problem with that.

But the dialogue where he confidently asserts Khushi as a partner in crime made me cringe.

He is shocked to see Khushi hugging a man. agree.

He is too shocked that the man is Shyam, hence doesn't wait to check more of what is happening in the scene. agree.

What I cannot fathom is, he decided Khushi is guilty of cheating on his sister with Shyam ( a crime which you would think twice before accusing any body, let alone the person you fell in love with ) with no questions asked, not even to himself.

In his place I would think: "Khushi, but Khushi, how could she...with Di...how could she?...Di? what will I do?...Think Arnav...Think...God...Cannot think...I have to ask Khushi..." something like this.

Not even start reminiscing about selective memories because if I CAN think those, I CAN think a lot more associated with those. So my point was, how come one happened and the other did not?

this conversation makes me think of a movie where the man accuses his woman of something and then he jumps to some conclusions about her

and she says

Judge bhi tum, adalat bhi tumhari, faisla bhi tumhara. aurut ko to kuch bolne aur sochne ka haq hi nahi hai.

was it that movie with Tabu and Monesh behl?? Astitva??

anyhow this dialouge reminded me of khushis plight

Sorry, dear, no idea which film the dialogues belongs to but couldn't have been more apt for Khushi at the moment.

I would question my intelligence if I fell in love with some one who thought of hurting the most important person in my world.

I would try to ascertain by any means that I was right in falling in love with her. She cannot be wrong. Even if that concerns THE most imp person in my life because there has never been a moment when she has not understood that importance in my life or has tried to demean it. And she definitely is not the 'duplicate face' types. There must be something I am missing. And an ASR's brain ought to be able to think like this.

But all this only if "THE MAN" in him allows him to be less over-confident about himself.😔

And yes, 'Astitva' had a similar moment as well - that too after years of togetherness which is equal to the fictional "intense" love of Arnav for Khushi.
