I can see that all of you are frustrated about "pandora's box' which I never even read. I should have at least read it before commenting.

Yes I do not about 16 years old doing the DEED. 😆

I guess my comments gave you the impression I am 40 year old your with two-three kids, which I am not. 😳😆

I know! 😭 And I replied before I saw ur edited comments. 😛 Well, PB is fantastic. It's a good read. I'm not very young (just 19 LOL), but I do cringe when I read some explicit stuff. I immediately stop reading from that point of time LOL.

OOPS. I did think you were a mum. ☺️ Sorry, BUT NOT MY FAULT! YOU SOUND SO MATURE AND GROWN UP!

And no inconvenience caused. I blushed when I saw ur name on my thread. ☺️ I FELT AS IF AAMIR KHAN JUST WAVED AT ME! 😆 Anyways, I'm glad our thoughts meet at a point! 😳

What the?!
Who has stopped writing? I'm still recovering from Munchy stopping her Pandora's Box :o

It is sad that many writers are being restricted, but it is also a tough job for the moderators. The internet has such a wide audience, we really don't know who is reading the material on IF so having a general blanket ban on adult material seems to be the simplest solution.

I really do hope they consider implementing the selective viewing as you mentioned where only members over 18 can access this material.
If as many people are saying, people do lie about their age to read FF's, then maybe they aren't as innocent as they seem...
Just saying.

I don't condone censorship of any kind and I am a strong believer of free speech and expression.

Since when did we take on the moral responsibility for policing the content for kids? Who are you and I to decide what kids should and should not read? Aren't parents the best judge of that for their children?

When we restrict content, how do you decide when the content has crossed the limit? And who sets those limits and who decides that limits are reasonable?

Granted IF is a private entity and the Forum owners/website managers/developers/MODs can decide what passes muster here, but let me add that restricting the creative juices of writers will not win more forum participation. Its a tight rope to walk and I fully understand that rules are rules. But I also feel sad that I am asked to be a web-nanny for children who should NOT be on the forum reading adult material to begin with.

So while MODs figure out how far is too far, let me suggest all FF/OS writers that you promptly create a blog space and link all your works to the blog. You can PM your fan following with those links whenever you make updates. We can't break the rules but we can bend it.

You said it SJ! Why do we have to take on the responsibility of practically parenting others children? Why are these kids even visiting the forum in the first place? Sadly, we can rant all we want but at the end of the day this site is privately owned and only the owner, Vijay, has the final say, not even Mods can help when it comes to decisions like this..

For the time being, it looks like the only plausible way to continue those brilliant FFs is move them to a blog created by the author..But one thing keeps nagging me is IF has a far greater outreach, and while the existing readers will continue to stick with the stories even after they ave been moved to blogs, the writers will miss out on feedback/appreciation from new readers who might not have stumbled upon the stories yet..

completely agree SJ..I don't condone to censorship myself . Anne just created a blog and its wonderful😳...would suggest Munchy, Shalu, Reya...and the others to do the same and that way guess what...they can have all the freedom to write and talent will be truly appreciated

No matter how easier blogging would be, I'm still most comfortable writing here. Because I feel that this is the place where my love and appreciation for Indian Tele shows began, and I'll always be attached to it. And if I'm attached to something, I never ditch it. I'll fight for it.

If they did decide to let only 18 and overs to read the mature content then the younger people would make another ID to read it. Im not promoting the site or anything but I read a lot of twilight fanfiction on fanfiction.net and there different ratings with K being for the youngers, T having mild language and M with mature content. But theres no IPKKND on there theres only DMG and another inidan drama but I think you can write a story with the rating M and put it in the Misc. Tv Shows Communities. This way the writers we love can write their stories with no restrictions and they can send us the link to them or we can put out an alert on them so that we are notfiied when they have updated their story or if they have written a new one. And a blog is also a great way for them to start writing again.
