YES. You guessed it right.

I, Shalini aka Shalu, have found the solution.

Now, dearest, IF Development team, I have read your concerns all over the forum site, and believe me, I completely agree with you.

And dearest writers, your frustrations rooting from restricted creativity, and freedom, is also completely understandable, because I, myself, sometimes have to cautiously tread upon this site, being the overly paranoid person I am.

But worry not fellow friends. My brain, which has recently been on an overdrive has come up with a solution. 😳

Okay, so you know how sometimes, Youtube restricts it's viewers to watch certain videos stating how it had adult content and all? I speak this from experience. WAIT. NO! I was NOT looking for THAT kind of videos! *shudders* I was just surfing the site for a Nicki Minaj video a while ago, and it restricted me from watching it. So I had to watch the censored version. 🤢 Which sucked too. But that's not the point.

The point is, we could apply similar tactics here on IF. You know how we writers use certain commands like NOCOPY, MEMBERSONLY, etc etc, to restrict viewership and therefore fighting against plagiarism, right? We could take help from some Tech-Gurus here on the forum, to "invent" such a command, so that users who are 18 ABOVE ONLY, could VIEW such posts (let alone read it!).

I am not sure if such a command exists, but I'm quite sure our software geniuses could help us? I am quite proud, because it is an ingenious idea, and it could work. 😳

So what say? Rather than wasting our times and spoiling friendships on such a wonderful site, let's come together to find a solution to the problem eh? 😃

See, guys. The Admins are not wrong when they're restricting such content on IF. Because there are certain codes of conduct to follow here. What we can all try and do, is attempt to bend this rule a bit, and restrict only certain target audience on IF. The Admins have a responsibility towards the younger generations on our forum. But they are sensible enough to realise that their responsibility lies on the older generation as well! Have faith in our Mods. They are our superiors here on the forum, for a reason. Trust our leaders. They'll lead us into a happier and a better forum environment where everyone finds their Utopia. 😊

Agree with you. There should be age verification before reading some mature contents . That is absolutely justifiable. I don't think writers should be banned specially not those who are writing some mature stuffs just because it's necessary for the storyline. Ban/ close/ WL rise are really not the solution for extremely creative and talented writers in IF and honestly there are many here in IF.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. While creating your membership, you can be asked you age. And that should help with the restricting problem.
And I'm sure that there is an online test or something Thr helps determine someone's age. I'm sure it can be simple also. That can make sure ppl are not lying and help solve the problem.

but why to add above 18 , do you feel Barun and Sanaya will like it if they read that stuff , they will feel shame what writers are writing

I suggested the same to the IF development team earliear today. Its a good idea, and that way atleast you're somehow restricting your content to age limits. Lets hope the IF team look into this...

dear it give sinking feeling as i have gone thought it at few months back at Geet forum ,if you give permission writers make it a filthy place ,they forget the difference between romance and *

you dont know that . i had stop writing for 6 month as the place was so filthy
