Question: Arnav's past?

Okay, hello. Silent viewer of IPKKND. I'm still catching up with the episodes of the show, but I'm around the point where Arnav tries to kiss Khushi at Diwali. I realize that people here might've discussed this already. I hope you'll bear with me. I can't seem to push the questions from my mind.

The reason why I started watching the show (apart from the love story) was really because of Arnav's character and the mystery around his past. I'm a sucker for a tormented male character with a troubled past and vulnerable side. Naturally, I got it bad for Arnav. So far, the writers have hinted at there being a traumatic story behind Arnav's current persona - as to why he's so hard, detached, guarded, etc.

But nothing has been revealed and confirmed yet. I'm wondering if the writers plan to ever do a track on his past, his character? I'm hooked on the layers so cautiously hinted at, but not entirely revealed. I'm wanting to know.

His parents died. He seems to have it in for his father's family (considering the way that he treated his father's brother and the way his face closes up whenever Nani compares him to his father). What did his father do? Did he hurt Arnav's mother? Did he cheat on her (since Arnav doesn't believe in marriage, and even seems to fear it)? And what's with the gunshot at the memory of his sister's wedding and his mom running down a hallway?

Did he experience some kinda betrayal in relation to another woman since he has an issue with women (specifically the poor type)? Because he seems to have this weird perception of poor women wanting to con rich men.

I guess that I'm a bit worried that his past won't be treated with much attention and/or depth since it hasn't been dug into yet. I'm hoping to be wrong. I don't feel that male characters are given much scope or depth on TV shows, but Arnav is one of the few male characters that seems to have been created with a strong purpose and past - which gives me some hope. Does anyone know whether there will be any track regarding his past/character in the near future?

The CV's will definitely show us his past.. This is an integral part of the story since Kushi's & his past are related. But when this will be revealed no one knows. 😛

definitely arnav's past will b shown!!!!!!!!!!!!!khushi s realted to her past so 4 sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but nly cv's know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lets wait 4 tat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they will show that track once they start following promo 5...but when no one knows...what Cvs have up their sleeves...

No don't worry the CVs will never forget this as this past that Arnav & Khushi share is the real story of IPK..right now we r simply touching the surface with these basic tracks which willa ct as the foundation for the real story to unfold...

if u saw the 5th initial promo u'll know it...

I have yet to watch any of the promos 😕

But I feel so relieved to know that his past will be explored. That's all the reassurance I needed. LOL. Thanks to everyone for the response.

Khushi is somehow related to his past..in fact responsible for it if we follow the old promo so i guess they will finally show us everything in detail when Arnav and Khushi are together after the great Shyam fiasco's over and when they are happy, somehow their past will come up and ruin everything again. Its just a guess.

I just don't understand how she can be related to his past. According to the IPKKND summary, it says that Khushi is 18 and Arnav is 28. And whatever happened on Anjali's wedding, Arnav seemed to be in his teens (or close, looking at the boy who played his younger version).

As mentioned by Buaji in the show Khushi is 20 and once Nani said that Arnav is 26. Khushi's parents died when she was 8- 9 years old i guess and Arnav looks like he is 15-16 years old in the flashback scenes + both are from Lucknow so there are possibilities. Khushi's past hasn't really been talked in the show so its really difficult to predict anything.
