Love,Hate and the Madness inbetween!

Been following this show for sometime. Got hooked to the lovely chemistry between the Arnav and Khushi and the funny side kicks! I absolutely adore NK and the guy playing the part.He is a fantastic actor and an absolutely cute comic. And I also love the Hello Hi Bye Bye. The lady is outlandishly hillarious and khushi's bua as well.

I never did agree much with Khushi's character. She is cute sweet and innocent but also ridiculous. Arnav's character is practical is hence more believable.And Barun has played the part very well.

But Khushi is completely unbelievable. I always wondered how would the creatives make Arnav fall in love with her because she is plain irritating and more so and specially with him.

She is usually goody good girl with everyone except with him. Sure he troubles her,irks her,confuses her and she is drawn to him but she does the craziest of thgs with him for which there is absolutely no excuse or explanation.Who slaps a guy for sqaushing a mosquito.Would she have done it with her father?or NK?or Shyam? Who trots around in others bedrooms any time of the day?Sply knowing that a man in that house has evil designs on her?

But anyways back to the build of the romance between them. Arnav has given in to the draw he feels for this woman. He reaslises he cant fight it anymore.Despite all the social cultural differences between them.He just cant help himself when he is around her.It is her naivity that draws him to her ,engages him and irritates him but he loves teh way she makes him feel.He loves the fact that she is so full of life,positivity so innocent and so fragile but most of all he loves her for strong headedness and fearlessness ,the same qualities which make him the strong man he is. He loves it that she does not bow down no matter what and belives in her convictions.Once he realises all this and with nothing else to distract him he focuses all his attention on her. He gives himself enough time to move on from his past relationship and puts a closure to it and now looks at her as his object of affection.But he needs to know if they are on an equal footing. She is not!He doesnt want to woo her the fairy talish way simply because he knows love is not a fairy tale.He wants her to see it and believe it herself rather than making her dream unrealisticly about it.And the only way he knows he can make do it is by daring her to match him.He knows the firm headed girl in her will step up to the challenge and will possibly realise her her true feelings in that way.

So he cleverly uses the dare as a way to give her a glimpse of his tender sweet passion,desire and feelings.His kiss slow,tender, passionate and lingering that of a man saying I want you without saying the words.

And then he dares her to kiss him back.But alas she is not yet a woman but a girl caught up in silly bets and dares. She refuses to grow up yet teases this man by sweet talking with men.

But she doesn't let the dare get the better of her judgement.She restrains from reacting partly because she simply doesnt know how.Her upbringing and morals do not allow her to shed her inhibitions and allow herself to touch him.And for this I appreciated her.She maintains her dignity by not jumping at the first chance to get even in some corner of the house away from everyone. Only when she is convinced that Arnav has her goodwill at heart and is protective of her does she allow herself break the restraint.She loses some of that inhibition and allows herself to thank him for his care and protection in the way he wants her to. To all those who are or have been in love, that is love isnt it. When one stops fighting the feelings inside, doesnt feel that inhibition with the other and can only see and feel the goodness in the other person, one is in love.Her kiss, her first to a man,quick,innocent and shy but heartfelt like that of a child delighted with a box of chocolates and ever so thankful for it.

Are they gona be married happily ever after?Really?Is there such a thing? :)

Hmm we know psycho Shyam is upto some crazy stuff. I believe when he gets exposed he will somehow tarnish Khushi's image. He will insinuate that she led him on.And Arnav has seen her flirting(tho innocently) with NK on several occasions.He knows she doesnt do it on purpose but he knows for a fact that she draws attention.And that NK is besotted with her is not completely NK's doing.So Shyam will do some real damage if he blames Khushi which he will do in all probablity when caught.Arnavs ego take a hit.And he will retaliate. With all the rage and passion that Khushi has invoked in him so far. With all the hatred he would feel against anyone who would be directly or indirectly responsible for hurting his softest spot,his sister.

I think you are talking about the low phase of IPK where it was OTT comedy and each one of us complained about it.

I began watching the show in July as I saw Khushi on TV and her sparring with ASR. I enjoyed what I saw. I went to youtube and watched from the beginning. As important as ASR is to this story, Khushi is equally important. She is everything ASR is not. He is the brain and she is the heart and together they become whole.

In real life, no one would have like the ASR (first month of the show) where he threw Khushi from the second floor, broke her pearl dori and was plain cruel with her. But he has evolved in the last 8 months. He was always attracted to Khushi but couldn't trust her as he thought she was a gold digger. Now he knows she is a simple lovely person who affects him alot.

Barun and Sanaya rock this show. I have watched Barun with Ankita in passionate scenes in BHPH and he is good but Ankita was not good at emoting. Here Sanaya is great at every possible expression. When she was heartbroken on Diwali, I cried watching her. Barun's expressions tore my heart.

Together, they bring these fictional characters to life!

The kiss challenge was true to both their characters. ASR is a calculative and private person and he knows only a challenge will get her to respond. Khushi on the other hand is impulsive. She does things and thinks later. So she kissed him in front of his family and ran away. If they both kissed when alone, then ASR wouldn't do anything to talk about taking it forward. He needs to be pushed and now that the family knows, they will coax him into admitting it by suggesting Khushi - NK's marriage just to goad him into accepting his feelings. The next week is going to be interesting as Khushi is carrying so many memories of heart break and his cruelty that she will be apprehensive about this. He will need to convince her she really means something to him...

No I didnt watch the show from day 1 but chanced upon it while surfing one day.And like you caught up on most of the old episodes on youtube. I was horrified with Arnavs cruelty to her as well to the point that i thought how can a show have a protagonist who is supposedly the hero and so violent.What the hell are they trying to tell the young girls out there? Put up with hotties no matter what?And also his behavior with her ex fiance was completely unacceptable. BUt then i guess they have shown his character evolve into a mellow one. Though it maybe the first throes of romance and not really the gentler side of him breathing free.He still remains as tedha as ever but she has melted a certain portion of his hardened heart.

You are right about the push that he needs in this case.He hardly shows his emotions.And yes Khushi kissed him in front of the family impulsively and also to meet him half way. The way he broke free on his own when he saw her on stage and coupled with her for the dance without giving a damn about what others would say. She responsed likewise and matched his daring but on her own free will. :)
